- This week we have started our wardrobe challenge. We both decided to start with the top, which we were surprised are very similar. We had not discussed with each other what we were making! Sisters! Sometimes too much alike!!
Dory made NL6217 out of fabric she had purchased at a thrift store while visiting Florida. She got over 3 yards for $1.25. You'll be seeing more of that fabric (hint).
Dee made B6751 out of fabric she had purchased quite a while ago from FabricMartFabrics.
Both tops were easy makes and, we feel, even beginners could make them. Please come back again and see what additional makes we have to complete our wardrobe challenge. @sewingfun

Dee, your pattern is the first one I made starting my TH-cam channel. I had to do a full bust adjustment on it and increase the size. But I got it to work and it's beautiful. your blouse is beautiful.

Hello Dee and Dory 😊 I like both of your tops very much. I’m excited to see the rest of the wardrobe. Dee…every video I watch I am dazzled by your necklace. It’s stunning. Is it a sapphire with diamonds? Years ago, I worked in a jewellery store and there was a man named Mr. Book who bought earrings and a necklace set for his wife for their anniversary and your necklace reminds me of the one he bought. He bought a beautiful sapphire necklace, surrounded with diamonds and the matching earrings They looked a lot like the ones from the Titanic movie. They were just beautiful.

Wow! Those fabrics are so pretty! I really like the way they turned out and the patterns look like the ones I need in my stash. So many possibilities. You both look so nice today with your beautiful hair! Im still growing my grey hair out myself. GOING on 17 months and it still isn't there yet but by December, it should look great. So nice to not do the hair color anymore. 😅 And I'm a retired hairdresser.😂

Potowatomi Zoo in South Bend Indiana at least used to have an anteater. But I think he goes inside if it starts getting chilly. And not sure they still have him either.
Growing up we lived about an hour from South Bend and never once made it to the zoo!
S6217 - I’ve made several of these tops. Dispensed with the back seam and reduced the width of the neckline. The original neckline was too wide for me and just kept slipping sideways.

Lovely and versatile tops. You both look great in them. I liked the pants you chose to wear. I consider my grey hair sparkles. If you have ants and wanted an anteater, I would potty train it and let it be an indoor pet. LOL Looking forward to seeing the next piece of your wardrobes! I've been sewing up a storm. I am currently in a vintage stage. My last 2 makes are Anne Adams.
We would love to see some of those Anne Adams makes! Love grey hair as sparkles. Working on the potty training of anteater🤣
