The new counter came out great! And I agree swinging 90 degrees was a good idea. Just a thought about the drain…What about slipping a section of brown flexible guttering over end coming out from from under the deck. Would help to camouflage it from the lake. Whole place is really taking shape!

My husband made a bench railing for a friend’s deck. He made it chair height, then used a 2” x 10” (or 12”) board on top of the railing. This height did not block the lake view & also could be used to sit on. Worked very well. Just an idea that worked for us.

Great workmanship! In the beginning, you dug the drill foundation pieces into the yard using a long stick to do the twisting and turning. This is actually a proper implementation of the Archimedean principle, "Give me a place to stand, and I will move the earth." (i.e., the greater the distance between you and the center of rotational motion, the greater the energy) Well done! Plz! Release a version with only the nature sounds???

This cabin looks amazing. I enjoyed looking at the building process "start to finish" in a slowest speed possible. This made me remember the house which my daughter lived in and they had a large pond in the backyard, and after rain the ground was very moist. Now I noticed your cabin is much closer to the water, and following your installment of the foundation made me think of the ground condition after the melting of the snow and rain. Which gave me the idea for you to install cement blocks under the foundation closest to the water, since you did use cement blocks under the "floating" deck. This is just a suggestion for the protection of your beautiful cabin. You are very talented and skilled and I am glad to have found your channel because your build is very inspiring.

I would add a nice throw rug in front of the sofa and some nice soft blankets on the sofa to bundle up in. On the approach, I would lay some nice large flagstones and fill in around them with decomposed granite. I might also add some simple lights on the stairs inside and out for night visibility. You can install those stick-on LED light strips that are super low voltage for lighting the kitchen area at night or for that matter anywhere else. I prefer to trim out my window casings in cedar that is smooth sanded. It stains awsome and smells amazing. It also lasts a very long time. I have built many tables in this and they just last and last.
