12 x 16 Off Grid Cabin Build - Episode 6 - Exterior Trim, Metal Siding, and Loft Flooring

During this trip I worked between the rainstorms but was able to make some good progress on the exterior trim, metal siding, and the loft floor installed. Thanks for following along and watching!

Love the siding choice! I was wondering what happens to the rain water that goes down onto the base trim? Is it angled enough to keep the water away from the cabin? Thank you!

i have never seen anyone put up window and door trim as a unit / what happens if you just need to replace one piece of trim ??

Two options cut out the bad trim and replace or replace the entire trim. I didn't pay attention to whether he used cellular pvc trim or not. My choice is the cellular pvc in most cases. Also the more recent This Old House series have created complete trim units around doors and windows.

I did use PVC trim....hope to never have to replace it. :-)
