  • Back up at the cabin, with some much needed help. We install pine floors and loft stairs, build an A-frame shed, add loft railing, and add another set of porch stairs. Fun trip with a ton of progress, thanks to the help of a great brother-in-law and friend!

    You 2 work like bulls. Great job. Love the "A" frame for the ATV...perfect. I broke my wrist too. After 10 weeks I could do 80% of everything but I'm still careful with it. Again....great job.

    Ladders are evil and I fell off mine twice during my build. Place is looking good guys. it always helps to have a second pair of hands. I did my cabin 100% by myself and roofing is especially dangerous.

    It’s too late now on the cabin vapor barrier, but for future installs, the black lines on the edges mark the intended overlap.

    Thank you Steve. 😊 i note your hinges on the A frame are on the outside. I know it is easy to get into but why make it even easier? Lots of things from the home workshop so good to see you are on the mend.

    Stairs look great, I've been looking forward to seeing them installed since watching your video building them last summer.
    What is the purpose of the exposed 2x6 (or 2x8) on the back wall at floor level? Can see when you come down the stairs.

      @echoesupnorth2367  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I need to trim out the 2x6. My original plans did not have the stairs against the walls. I should have cut it out and removed it when I changed things up. It will just need to add some "character" to the cabin at this point. :-) Thanks for watching!

    Did you leave a gap between the first row of shiplap and the ground to fit the floor boards or just put first wall row right on the ground? Thanks. I'm enjoying your videos
