wood turning a goblet from mystery wood
Ok this is a piece of wood that came with a saw from Facebook Marketplace. It is indeed mystery wood ,if you have any idea what it is leave a comment.
So I thought I'd turn a goblet. I know it has a hole going through the bottom and into the base.....It adds character. The light wood is spalted rotten and soft the dark wood is like iron and I have to sharpen my gouge often.
I hope you enjoy the video and please give me a thumbs up and comment
the music in the video is by my son Jacob

Wood turning a holly log with a rotten piece running top to bottom. I'll fill the rot with over lapping plugs of different kinds of wood. I do hope you enjoy the video. Don't forget to leave a comment and give me a thumbs up for contact @ultrawood...
wood turning a lidded pot inspired by cornishware
มุมมอง 49921 วันที่ผ่านมา
This video is my version of a Cornish ware pot, of course I've turned it on my lathe. I start with some oak blanks I glue together. Then take it to the lathe and turn a pot, after which i prime with acrylic primer, dab on some dark blue, prime again then mask into stripes and paint light blue. When the paint is fully dry I sand with 240grit, this brings out the dark blue and the white under the...
