wood turning beads from offcuts other odd bits

  • These are bits and pieces out of the firewood box, the corners of glue ups after I've cut out a round blank. I tend to glue up a lot of blanks using different coloured woods. Maple and walnut is my favourite combination. Cutting the scraps at an angle creates a nice looking bead. I've experimented with different shapes and wood combinations. I've also glued up some scraps just to turn as beads.
I hope you enjoy the video and please feel free to comment

Very enjoyable to watch and relax with you at the lathe. I did cringe a bit when you were at the bandsaw😢. You where right the first couple of days were the worst but it is healing.

Nice video and great use of all those scraps I've not discarded because "one day" I might find a use for them! Now I did! We have a family reunion coming up in a couple of months and this would be an ideal project for the grandkids to spend some time making their own creations. One question though, where did you get the findings for the ends?
