wood turning an apple from mystery wood

This is an apple I'm turning from a log someone gave to me. As you turn it the yellow part is quite soft but then firms up,the centre part is pink and the grain turns like maple. The stalk is walnut and the leaf if poplar. Needless to say I'm very pleased with it!
