- This is a lidded pot i made to resemble a rain cap from a lorry exhaust. So i start by sticking oak scraps together which i turn and hollow to make the pipe....Then i make the rain cap an include a double recess one to over hang the pipe and another to hold the piece on the lathe. I make three segment shapes to create the hinge these are from walnut. After fitting the hinge i find the cap binding on the top of the pipe so i have to relieve the inside edge....it all works out ok

I a. I a. I a don't have any words. You did a great job, and it looks great. It is certainly one of a kind. I have never seen another box like it. What inspired you to think of this? Anyway, thank you for sharing, and I will look for you on Sunday. Keep them coming Chris

one more perfect work. Congratulations. But there is a point I can't understand. Why you always use the smallest brush when applying shellac ? Brushesare too expensive in UK ?🤣😂😃😄
I don't like wasting it.....I'm mean....I always use the same brush....thanks for watching
