Tyler , one big mistake is to cover your fire wood with a tarp especially a black tarp fire wood needs to air dry out , the pallets are a good base for your fire wood shed just need more pallets for the three walls and a good roof , the tarp holds in the moisture and your fire wood will rot away in no time , ask me how I know that .

I love your "Creek fridge"! FYI, you actually don't have to refrigerate your eggs, if you rub a thin coating of oil, veg, olive, etc on the outside, they will keep shelf stable for months.
