So I have no idea 😂 I didn’t think Yellowface was bad! I just didn’t enjoy it. I don’t think you’re meant to enjoy it and some people like that..? I appreciate what the author is saying and I think it’s written well, it just wasn’t fun for me. If that makes sense. Haha good for you for choosing giddy! I want to include a bit more happy in my reading, I think that will do me good. I just can’t help myself. I have to stop myself sometimes, I’ll pick up a book that draws me in and I’ll read the back and just be like I don’t need more of that kind of misery 😂

I liked the book as it was a mix of different linked myths, Medusa is at the center of it but there many different stories and perspectives. I thought it was a good mix of emotional and pure fun adventure! And the audiobook was very well narrated. Piranesi was so confusing, but in the best way! Like solving a puzzle. Or trying to! 😂 Oh I would love to hear your thoughts on The Maiden! I think Rewitched will be so cozy and heartwarming for fall. Thank you for watching 😊💜

It was great! I had so many questions the whole way through, but I very much enjoyed it! And I have to be a little bit ambiguous ^^ I hope you'll like Stone blind! 😬 Yes, The Maidens had everything I could want in a thriller, but as soon as I started reading it I was telling my boyfriend about things that annoyed me, and they just kept coming. Haha I'm such a puddle! It comes and goes, but it depends on what's going on in life as well. And what I choose to read of course, misery is like a magnet to me. I kind of wish it wasn't but I can't help it! 😂 (<- literally me)

Haha oh yes, there is almost always rain on the horizon here! It can get dry during the summer, but mostly there’s rain 😂 There’s a classic Swedish summer anthem called Summer is short and the lyrics go (roughly) “Summer is short, most of it rains away, but it’s here now, so enjoy it, the sun’s shining today” 😂 It was on the radio as I drove to the cabin and any Swede will know the lyrics! Anyway!!! I don’t have murderbot on any audiobook app unfortunately! Yes, THG would have been sci fi, but my silly little brain doesn’t know things like that! 😁 I’m looking forward to see what I and YOU actually think of 1984! 😂 You’d better get to it or I’ll send you to JAIL by saying ellenmade book club book club pick three times in a row!

​@ellenmadebookclub I think it is just a duology. The other two were Wild Seed (very good but made me so angry, not sure if I will continue that series anytime soon) and Fledgling. I read Kindred the month before. I am late to the party but can completely understand the hype. You'll have to hold your boyfriend to it and get that three course dinner!

Yes, I checked in goodreads after filming and it does say Science fiction on there, so I could have picked that! But I needed some audiobooks anyway, so I think the Time War one will be good for this month! I’ve started it and am very confused so far, but I’ll report back eventually! 😊💜

My husband and I have been married for almost 6 years and there’s no way I would record in front of him, I don’t even want him to hear me from the other room 😂😂 Yeah you picked some great, light-hearted summer books haha! I did! I'm so happy with this haul, especially the Backman books! It's about time I read them. 😊 Herravälde is actually just one word, but I love that you're trying ^^ It translates to "dominion", so it has that double association to dominate and domestic. Like "Herr" in German, it's the same in Swedish, like Mr. But it sounds a lot more formal or old fashioned, as we don't use those kind of words anymore, in most cases we just go straight to first names.
