Who here hasn't played the anime versions of the god cards?

I used gatling dragon back in the day, I could have used an Origami goddess. Slap it down, no costs, slap an equimpent spell on for 700 atk. Now with a base of 800, I use gatling dragon to get 6400 damage. Then goddess uses her strange effect for 1 or 2 more coins. One shot that dude from across the room. Why did they invent grave traps!?

Modern day yugioh Turn 1 special summon, special summon special summon, special summon. Blah blah few more times. After all that. Your board is full of negates. Disrupting traps/spells/effects. That turn 2 can’t play. Ooor turn 2 they board break and you can’t play. Rarely

YuGiOh is simply a horribly designed game.

hand traps are great and all but still don't solve the problem of turns taking 5+ minutes, which makes the game stupidly unplayable

What about "hope for escape" ? Seems like nearly joined knows this card. It was a key piece in my very good exodus deck down then some years ago. You can literally draw 4-5 cards out of it if played well

just to point out, the "win the match rule" actually functions in japan, as the people who made the cards they use logical rules, unlike the tcg, so the opponent cant just concede like that

I have a Fiber Jar deck, built to banish monster cards and then reshuffle the rest of the field. I got it working 100% only once, where my opponent had no monsters left and gave up. Such a fun deck xD

I love how dark hole has its own Monster known as Dark Hole Dragon. Its a 8 star Dragon effect monster that is immune to destruction and can be special summoned by ANY destruction on the field form the hand or grave. And if he is special summoned that way you can draw one dark hole from the deck

Does starting a chain with Question prevent your opponent from activating stuff from their graveyard during that chain?

Pfffft. No. I'm going to run Ojamas and Morphing Jar and still win against your meta. Bite me. Big difference between trad Yugioh and the vomit that is modern in principle: old yugioh master - less moves to win. newgioh scrub - 50 moves still loses.

This may sound crazy but as someone who recently returned to the game after not playing at all since 2013, Ive grown to really like this current format on MD. I like how much more I have to think and prepare. Yeah the turns are long, but I kinda like seeing the convoluted things people do to summon beatsticks. And trying to figure out a way to beat those boards is kinda appealing to me as a challenge

Fairy Box is my go to coin flip card. 2 copies on the field give me the chances to make my opponents attack point 0, forcing them to crash into me if timed correctly or end their turn. At the cost of 500 life points when its my turn to keep it active. DO YOU KNOW THE RUSH YOU FEEL WHEN A NUMERON PLAYER ATTACKS YOU, DOUBLES, AND THEN THEIR ATTACK POINTS TURNS TO 0, AND YOU CALL THE COIN FLIP 4 TIMES IN A ROW. You feel like a God.

Dude you forgot yugioh vrain animé that happen after Yugioh Arc V Yugioh Vrain focus on link summoning and the english dub it is yusaku that goes into virtual riality, and while in virtual reality is name is playmaker, and they both have what they called their version of master duel which is only 4,000 life points, but play like master duel with some of the effect change for the animé, and they have speed duel, where they played by speed duel rules except they have link monster already available, and if they don't if they got the skill card they can get new link monster to put in the extra deck during the speed duel and the speed duel is on a surf board, they also have all the other summoning mechanic but the only summoning mechanic missing in Yugioh vrain is Pendulum summoned.
