I started ADF a little over a week ago. So I found Colleen as well. I wish I had a partner with me as I’ve failed in the past. I do however feel good about this journey.

I think you might be stuck at a plateau. I did ADF and lost 40 lbs (to 155) but ended up gaining it all back because after a few years of ADF at 155, eating almost anything makes you gain FAST. I am starting again now with the goal to stop when I am down 20 lbs and reverse diet. I think your body does realize you are getting overall less calories.

Stop beating yourself up.Eat on Thursdays! If no social obligations loom on Thursday, eat nutritious whole foods on Thursdays. You're young, nutrition is not paramount in your mind. Do your future self a favor and make Thursday whole foods only. There's a world of delicious satisfying whole foods out there.

don't cut out whole food groups if you don't want to. the first thing you should do is get used to eating every other day. once you master that, then you should begin to tweek your diet. if you deprive yourself of a food group, you're going to binge on it at some point. take your time...

I have been on every-other-day for 16 months myself. 4:3 always seemed very hard for me. Due to having that "ugh" day every week. If I was in a social situation where I had to eat certain days I would probably have kept fasting every other day but made the 'expectation day' into 500 calories, if I was able to keep it as such.

Dry fasting is very difficult if you are not used to it. Im used to it for spiritual reasons so I find it easier to adf dry fasting.

I just started but I do Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday or Sunday depending on what I have going on. It’s not common for me to have social event on both days of the weekend so the flexibility to fast one day on the weekend and eat another has been awesome!

I’m going to get back on track with ADF and I figured the days I’ll feast are on even number days.. 2,4,6,8 etc and fast on the odd number days. This was the easiest way for me to stick to a schedule❤

❤ thanks for sharing. I am alternate day fasting as well. I like the Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule as well. This way you get to eat every other day and not worry about it on the weekends. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You are doing great. Maybe the whole Wednesday/Thursday fast is the challenge which technically isn’t alternate day fasting. It’s great you shared this because I’ve been seeing such great results that I had an idea to fast two days in a row and now hearing you I realize it might not be such a good idea because it will put too much stress and anxiety on me and cause me to Sabotage. ❤You are beautiful thanks for the motivation to keep going even though it might not be perfect. Amazing results!!!!

Happy to see you back. Looks like your body is fighting for that set point weight. You have to feast clean in order to fast clean and vice-versa or you will have cravings and to become metabolically flexible. Get a multi vitamin in a pill-vitamin form, not gummy form it has sugar in it. And of course we all need prayer to overcome mental and spiritual challenges. God bless you Sis. Proverbs 3:5-6💕

This is by far the best video about ADF I've seen. I'm on week 3 and you hit the nail on head about keeping it simple. Eat what you want on feast days, and the open weekends. Dont count hours that you fast. I actually created my own 30 day challenge because it worked to kick alcohol last year. I journal a little bit and watch videos of ADF results to feed my brain. Thanks for your video.

i started adf (again) january 19 and as of feb 18, i was down 8 pounds for the month, averaging 2 lbs a week. i feel like i should have lost more but i have to remind myself that i plan to do this for the whole year and 2 lb a week is extremely good
