I have been doing ADF for 8 months and the single most important thing you can do to minimize cravings, temptation and Hunger is to eat very low carbs on your feeding days. If you keep eating carbs every other day, ADF will always be a struggle. Get Fat adapted and it’s a whole new experience.

I only had about 7 pounds to lose and now that I am at my target weight I am doing a 36 hour fast once a week, one OMAD a week, one feast day and the rest 18/6 or 20/4 for maintenance. I love catching myself in the mirror as I walk by and seeing a small, lean waist. :)

5 pounds is excellent. I lost so much because I was exercising too and I probably have a higher starting weight than you. I've still been doing well but it does fluctuate. Keep up the good work and don't give up.@@ausumnj

Hi Eva, New subbie here, thank you for sharing your journey. I too am a Intermittent Faster for Life, I started out at 319 lbs 8 years ago, did the green smoothie cleanse lost 14 pounds and then went to IF/OMAD 20/4 -22/2 then did some ADF 5 years ago and then settled into OMAD fast forwad 4 years now doing OMAD 22/2-23/1 now my body is use to it so Im revisiting ADF and I absolutly love IF because I already live a fasted LifeStyle and it wasnt hard for me to go right into it. I am now today 203 lbs my goal weight is 165-175 just to give myself some wiggle room, I am 5'8 dont want to look weird because I have been 165 since I was 18 yrs old which I am now 61 yrs young so Im good with being 165-170 It is Truly a LifeStyle that I can do until I leve this earth and the health benefits is worth just to do the Fasting part of it... Keep up the great work! this lifeStyle which I love soo much will certainly get us to our goals if we Do the Work of Fasting... Great success on your Channel also. I would love to see some of your What I Eat In A Day videos also, on your Feasting days...

I really like the point you're making about eating what you want. I sometimes do ADF but the majority is just OMAD. Yesterday, I went to Burger King and ate a Double Angry Whopper and a Big King with Bacon. Four burger patties, fake cheese, ton of food and I barely got it all down cus it was frankly too much. Woke up this morning 2lbs lighter than I was yesterday.
Today I've got some far more healthier foods that I'm going to be cooking up for my meal as I do think that eating good meats and veggies and fats (got some plain high fat greek yogurt too) is beneficial to the body for other things. But if losing the weight is your main purpose, you can literally do it with anything. Any diet will work. It's the time between eating that does the job.

don't cut out whole food groups if you don't want to. the first thing you should do is get used to eating every other day. once you master that, then you should begin to tweek your diet. if you deprive yourself of a food group, you're going to binge on it at some point. take your time...

To help with cravings and to build up to ADF, for those who are skeptical or having problems getting started:
Detox; intermittent fast or time restricted feeding; cut out white sugar, white flour, and artificial sweeteners; and drink spring water.
Detoxing is recommended before starting any new diet or regimen and it helps with cravings. the toxins and chemical residue from the chemicals in your food in your body is what causes addiction and cravings and the build up of these toxins is what causes weight gain and long term health problems.
