    Congrats on your 45lbs lost , your video is great and very well articulated . I lost 40 lbs in 9 weeks doing ADF . On my Feast days I gorge myself with one meal + ripe mangoes , this often put me to sleep after eating . Based on this diet for the week I find my self having 4 feeding sessions . I have not done any form of exercises in the 9 week period .
    In the near future I may have to do at least one meal per day to limit the pace of weight loss . I agree 100% this ADF ( Alternate Day Fasting ) works but you have to have a WHY + DISCIPLINE , 100% Tangible results in less than 2 weeks guaranteed. I understand not everyone is willing to deal with the pain and challenges within the first two week which our bodies are adjusting to this new lifestyle . I am a whole new person since Ii have lost that 40lbs, to all other out there struggling , YOU CAN DO THIS !

      Thanks for the testimonial! Yes, we CAN do this! I have not even completed the second week yet but I can tell you I FEEL LIKE A NEW PERSON! I can tell I’ve lost weight but refuse to weigh because it’s not as important as how I FEEL. If you feel like absolute sh*t, DO THIS! It will change your life! I’ve tried EVERYTHING and nothing has worked liked this and so quickly, OMG!

      How’s that going now! Please be careful with fasting and that big of change.. 9 weeks and 40 pounds would indicate muscle atrophy to me. I’m a Naturopathic Doctor, and Nutritionist… I love fasting and ADF, but this can also be detrimental to your hormones.

    As someone who moves in Black and/or white, I find ADF to be easier than regular IF. It actually fits that narrative, oddly. I switch between an eating window and OMAD on my eating days. Getting enough water is the only challenge for me at this point, but making ice helps. Doing this to loose weight, reset my metabolism and shrink my large fibroids. So far, I feel great! I love the fasting hours, as it helps me shift more into my spirituality. Good luck people! ❤

    The most important lesson I learned from this video is to not give up even after falling off the wagon for a while. Our biggest mistake with weight loss is expecting perfection and giving up when we make mistakes. Thank you for sharing your journey 👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽

  • @SteveEdzPainter
    @SteveEdzPainter ปีที่แล้ว +29

    You're doing it right. ADF is a tool, not a lifestyle. Doing things intuitively is absolutely correct, and taking breaks. Trains your body not to get used to imposed schedules. If your body gets too used to something it's time to whack in the side. I've been doing ADF for awhile, and to tell you the truth, alot of the times fasting day is so much easier than feast days in a really weird way. The clarity of mind and energy in the afternoons are absolutely crazy! I really had to train myself on drinking enough water! I've got a long way to go and these youtube vids keep me inspired and on track! Congrats and good luck. Peace!

    • @nataliajimenez1870

      The good thing about ADF or 4:3 is that it doesn't lower the metabolic rate as much as keeping the same restricted eating window every day. You can do modified fasts in your fast days and eat up to 500 calories if it's hard to completely fast (I do coffee with some coconut oil or butter during fast days so I don't raise my insulin with my extra calories)

  • @MrsWhite-ur1qz

    You are amazing! I've also found Colleen and her videos have helped me as well, to unlock my potential to get back healthy. I see and read about people having great success the first month with ADF and then when the next month rolls around and they don't lose as much, they get discouraged and want to quit asking what are they doing wrong and so on. ADF is not just about the weightloss, is a lifestyle change, resetting your body to do what it should have been doing. It takes time to get back to where we want to be. And if we are so strict with ourselves, once we get to the finishline, we may fall back into the old patterns. So like you said, listen to your body's cues and give yourself some grace. Deprivation if the things we love, is no way to sustain anything.

      Hi Diana, I started four weeks ago with ADF. I like fasting. My appetite adapts quickly to fasting. I’m at 130 kgs and aim to reach to 75 kgs. Its about half my size! Do you mind if we did this together since we started at approximately the same time. BTW I turned 40 two weeks ago. I think having a buddy would make things easier. What do you think?

    Great to hear how your routine is going. For health reasons as much as for weight loss I just recently started ADF again. I'm finding it mostly easy, with some occasional hunger pangs. But sometimes it's not actually hunger, but rather missing the sensation of eating. I also forget to drink enough on fasting days, so sorting that out might make the fasts easier.

    I liked that you just ate whatever you wanted on your eat days because i am like you in the fact that i dont want to count calories and be obsessed with weighing myself everyday!!

    I’ve just started this one week ago as I use to loose weight fast but now (after 37 years old) my weight is no longer going down when I diet… After my first day doing ADF, I was already nearly 2kg down which is insane! Even though it was probably
    just water weight, it is still very encouraging. I’m really willing to carry on but was wondering if I will have to do this for life? What happens when I get to my ideal weight (I just want to loose 8kgs) Has anyone stopped it and gained the weight back? Is there a transition period that can be done? Would really appreciate it if someone could help me with that as I don’t want to make a step forward and then 10 steps back.
