March 31, 2023 I weighed 301, started rolling 48s where I fasted 48 hours (did it twice within a week and was down to 290s. Switched to ADF but fasting 40 hours for a little over a week I'm now 277. This really works Alhamdulillah 🤲💗😊

I finished a week of fasting 24 hours and eating 24 hours last week. I lost about 6.5 pounds. I am on my second week. I love the freedom of eating what i want on my feast days. This seems more sustainable for me because i hate dieting.

I started ADF Aug 31. 1st mo weigh in from 208 to 194. I haven’t been out of the 200s since Covid 2020. I’ve never been as heavy as I am now. I’ve tried so many diets and different fasting. Keto helped me before but it was such a struggle to stay in ketosis and enjoy a “normal” life and being with friends without one day throwing me off balance for the week. After maybe 3 weeks I noticed that I would have some sort of craving, get the dessert or something and say I’ll eat it tmr but then the next day came and I don’t even think about it and see that I end up going the rest of the week still not wanting it and end up throwing it out. I realized that if I want it on feast days to not buy on fast days as I don’t want to waste. This has helped me so much mentally as sugar addiction is REAL. Even if I don’t eat the best I find myself making choices like “takeout” vs drive thru or reaching for water without the mental struggle over juice. Slow and steady creates long lasting habits ❤ I only weigh in after each month on the day after I fasted. Try for two weeks as a goal. Once you get through that. Say okay I’ll go for a third. And then BOOM! Do the forth and you’ve made a month and it starts to feel like a habit and now you know it’s something you have the power to do 🎉

Always use a schedule that works for you. We have an meal schedule where I stay and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are foods that I don't like, which makes fasting even easier. So pick whatever works for you.

-the inconsistencies that happen at first
-not counting calories or hours or going by a certain food type

I've done various forms of fasting. I lift and cycle and I'm an old Marine. Your video verifies what I've been thinking, I just started ADF MWF this past week! Feeling great glad to hear there will be results, energy level high.
    YOU GO!
I know that different things work for different people. Eating like this I can't stop thinking about food on my fasting night, but the next morning I can take it or leave it...which is weird, but makes it relatively easy to do. My social engagements are on Thursdays and the weekends so it fits in perfectly! Also, I am a drinker and abstaining every other day is helpful to my liver, but being able to drink (not binge) on the weekend is priceless!

Thank you so much for posting these videos. I appreciate you so much. Fasting is not easy at all but, the way you are doing it simplified and easy to follow. Less restrictive and definitely gives results. I just started fasting the end of Dec and I have lost pounds and inches feeling more confident in myself and better in my clothes. One other thing I will add is that losing the weight through fasting heals inflammation like crazy. NO MORE BACK PAIN, lol. I even started exercising! Thanks again for sharing your journey.

This is by far the best video about ADF I've seen. I'm on week 3 and you hit the nail on head about keeping it simple. Eat what you want on feast days, and the open weekends. Dont count hours that you fast. I actually created my own 30 day challenge because it worked to kick alcohol last year. I journal a little bit and watch videos of ADF results to feed my brain. Two weeks into ADF. I like it. I agree with your report of quick result. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks.
My motivation. What I can do better with less weight on my body. Sports. Hikes. Travel. Live longer. 2023, HIke Yosemite. 2024 - Hike Kilimanjaro!
I like your schedule. Very similiar to mine. If I want to socialize on Friday, I can choose to switch from M-W-F to either M-W-Sat or Sat-Tues-Thurs.
P.S. If you are not excited about working out, you should start with a walking program. I walk and then, cause I like it, I do stair sprints along the way. (My body has warmed up, and the sprints add a nice variety to the walk.)
This is not a diet, it is a life-style choice that helps me become who I want to be. But, there is no one path. Everyone should adopt a food consumption strategy that works best for the health benefits and lifestyle they want for themselves.

25h in my second fasting day of my ADF journey. Not hungry but oh boy the mental struggle is real. But I’m pushing through cause I’m done not feeling comfortable in my body. Have you started??

Dr. Krista Varady who first came up with ADF said you can eat a 500kcal meal at lunch on fasting days but why do almost all practitioners of ADF eat NOTHING on fasting days? 🤔

I was searching on TH-cam “ what to drink during ADF” and your video popped up.I’m glad I watched the video till the end cus you mentioned you drink only water during the fast which had been my struggle so you motivated me.I don’t have a problem fasting , I can do three days no food , sometimes five days no food. But for some reason alternate day fasting has been a struggle for me. I am determined to do it but my issue is I get very tired sometimes, cus of my kids and my mouth gets really dry from just drinking water so I drink a lot of tea aswell but now it doesn’t seem like the tea is enough. Does anyone have any healthy ideas on what I can drink to help me through my fast?.

i’ve been drinking Poppi (probiotic soda). It’s only 20 calories and gives probiotic help. as long as you stay under 50 calories on your fast day, you are going to be good.

Try mineral water. I like the flavored ones from Traders Joe’s or Pellegrino. Zero calories, zero sugar but gets you through. You can get in your minerals this way as well. You can also try adding a slice of lemon into your water. This technically breaks your fasts but not really. It’s still pretty much zero calories. Look up A Healthy Alternative Jazmin’s story. She did an extended fast. By day 14, she could barely get the water down so she started adding a slice of lemon into the water and she was able to keep going after that. Not sure what her longest fast was but I’m guessing around 21-30 days and she kept going this way. Long fast and lost about 100+ pounds.

Don't know if you're still looking for suggestions, but I use the "Propel Powder Packets with Electrolytes, Vitamins and No Sugar, Raspberry Lemonade" is bomb. It's zero calories and helps so much with breaking up boring water.

I'm on my 85th hour of a dirty fast and plan on going at least another day into tomorrow at Noon for over 110 hours. I've lost 24 pounds within 4 weeks and will soon start maintenance fasting instead of losing weight. Fasting is a fancy way of saying starving one's self 😂

24 lb in 4 weeks is crazy. what did you do?

    • @user-bd3gt9jt1x
      @user-bd3gt9jt1x 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@nmpoy it's more what I didn't do which was eat. Not putting anything in my mouth meant no calories and I kept a close tab on my caloric intake which was easy because it was often either zero or about 100 at most. I had weekly deficits of 10k to 13k calories. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone but it worked for me.
