A Wispa that has been in the fridge (refrigerator) for a bit in order to harden knocks an Aero into a cocked hat.
Coffee Crisp originally made by the British company of Rowntree/Mackintosh back in the 60's which is probably why it comes under British products in stores, its not sold in the UK now though. Mackintosh also did Toffee Crisp & Quality Street but since sold to Nestle the chocolate seems to have gone downhill.
A lot of Nestle chocolates like Aero, Yorkie, Lion Bars, Smarties, Kit Kat, etc were originally made by British company Rowntrees, and Rolos, Quality street and Toffee Crisp were originally made by rival British company Mackintosh (as was Coffee Crisp)
The 2 companies later merged together and became Rowntree Mackintosh lol.
In the late 80's they sold the company to Nestle who re-branded all the chocolate bars to the Nestle name.

It is so funny watching Americans trying UK bog standard run of mill kids candies. Like they were some kind of sophisticated confectionary. When UK kids are buying these chocolates every day on their way to school. 🙂

I can confirm that Coffee Crisp in not generally available in UK. If it was I would of tracked it down as I love coffee and chocolate

It's light because you are only getting half a bar of chocolate. Aero is OK (mint is best), but the Cadbury Wispa is better, and the Wispa Mint (if you can find it) is really good. Best Wispa is the Gold one with the caramel. Now I want chocolate

A Wispa that has been in the fridge for a bit is top tier. Unlike many people I don't like the "Gold" version. I find it far too sickly.

MOOO!!! Finally, a video not about Cadbury's chocolate! I've always preferred Rowntrees, which is now owned and rebranded as Nestle, which we have to pronounce as Nestlay these days. As well as Aero there's the world renowned Kit Kat, which is made under licence by Hershey in America, Milky Bar, which is white chocolate and used to be advertised by one of the blonde kids from Village of the Damned, Smarties, which are like M n Ms but without the annoying advertising, Rolos, which are round chocolate covered soft toffees, Toffee Crisp, which is a cereal and toffee bar, Lion Bar, which is like Toffee Crisp but with more bite and Quality Street, which is a tub of chocolates which a British Christmas necessity! There's probably a few more, including several non-chocolate brands, which I'm sure other people will fill in for me. Let the Rowntrees revolution begin!

Just pronounce it ness-lay. You should try making toad in the hole. Only need a few things.
The name Nestle actually has an acute accent over the final "e", which is why it is pronounced "Ness-lay". Though the accent is not obvious and in years gone by (70s and some of the 80s), UK advertising did refer to it's products as "Nestle's" instead of "Ness-lay's" I believe the company has roots in France.

I've never seen a "Coffee Crisp" in the UK, But the "Toffee Crisp" is great when taken out of the freezer

In the UK Nestlé used to be pronounced Nessuls, even the voiceover in the ads used to say it that way, but it's pronounced Nest-lay now, I prefer Nessuls! 🤭

Nestle Aero equates to Cadbury Wispa.
Nestle chocolate is generally inferior in quality to Cadbury so not surprised to see you score these quite low. Nice to see pay some love to the Aero mint at the end - definitely one of the best chocolate mint combos out there.

There are a bunch of special edition KitKats and KitKat Chunkys right now... caramel, honeycomb, peanut butter, popcorn etc. Seen some from Japan too... the Green Tea KitKat was horrific but you guys might like it?

Coffee Crisp - Gastro Obscura
It was invented by a British company, Rowntree, which also gave us Kit Kats (originally known as “Rowntree's Chocolate Crisps”). Ever since the company opened a factory in Toronto and began producing Coffee Crisps in 1939, the candy has largely been made exclusively for Canadian markets.
Aerated chocolate (Aero / Flake / Wisps etc) - a way of making you pay more for less product.

If you want crunchy minty chocolateyness, then you need a Mint Cracknell. No longer sold in the UK they are available from South Africa or Australia as a Peppermint Crisp.
Guys now that you’ve tried standard chocolate may I suggest something a bit more sophisticated for your next challenge..Hotel Chocolat or Lindt Chocolate, they are more expensive than Cadbury etc but the quality is far superior so they’re worth the extra cost. 👍

I think in the case of a rating averaging out in between 2 ratings, if one was chosen more often, that should be the rounding factor, and only if still a tie then round down. Such as the peppermint aero, it averages half way between lush and omd, but since there were 3 omd then it should round up instead of down

Coffee crisp is called a Blue Ribband in the UK same bar just not coffee flavour. They did have a coffee one but it's discontinued

Mrs. Cadbury used to spend the summer staying at my great grandmother's house on Anglesey. Mr. Cadbury would come at weekends to spend time with his wife and children. My Nain would look after them, cook, house and clean for them.
