What other non-Cadbury British / UK Chocolates should we try?? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Have you had malteasers? I can't remember. You also need to try caramac (similar to cadburys caramilk), rolos, poppets hmm what else
Cadbury's Crunchie and Cadbury's Boost.
Any of the Green & Black’s bars (they do a taster box) or Montezuma especially the absolute black, any of the UK KitKat bars maybe the dark mint?
@@BritishFamily haven’t tried any of that stuff except for rolos (if they’re the same thing we have here)! 💯💯💯💯
@@hithere3035 both sound great!!
As a Revels connoisseur I can easily tell which flavour is which by the shape. It has taken years of practice to perfect my art 😉
Teach us your ways oh mighty Revel Master! 😂🤣😂🤣
The royal family tv episode. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You can tell which is the peanut one cos its peanut shaped and the chocolate button one cos its button shaped.
not seen peanut ones for ages.
No peanut ones in uk anymore 😢 cos of peanut allergies
England, Scotland, Northern ireland and Wales all have their own flags, the union flag is an amalgamation of Englands St Georges Cross, Scotlands St Andrews Cross and Northern Irelands St Patricks cross.
Wait till they learn the distinction of the British isles on top.
Ahhhh got it, thanks for the info 😁😁😁😁
Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 wooo woop Scotland our fellow neighbors ❤❤❤❤
😊 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴 I cannot find St.Patrick's Cross, 🤔 sorry...nor can I find the St.Piran's flag (Cornwall) 🤔
(but I do include the non-British flag* due to my late Grandad having been born in County Mayo, in what _he_ called Eire.
...so supporting the Irish Tricolour of Green, White and Gold.*🇮🇪) ❤🏴😊🖖
The red X on white background is actually the old flag of Ireland before they changed to the modern day flag. The United Kingdom was originally the 3 Kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland united.
Bite each end off a penguin, put it in your cup of tea, use it as a straw until slightly soft, then eat.
Works with many different chocolate options, the best of which is a twix.
Now THAT sounds like a plan!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤
It started in Australia with Tim Tams.
@@B-A-Lactually a common misconception - penguins have been around since the 30s, and this is how my Nan used to eat them when she was little. Tim tams came out I think in the 60s or 70s. I think if you give anyone a chocolate biscuit and a warm drink tho I hope you’d put them together, because it’s amazing 😂❤
Nah, the best one is a Crunchie. The honeycomb is the perfect medium for sucking tea through. 👌
@@MatConlon that’s a good shout also.
The texture of the soft biscuit and caramel from the heat of the brew is the draw for me though
I fear the Revels would have gone straight in the bin if they were unfortunate enough to pick one of the coffee flavoured Revels.
The coffee's fine, if you like coffee. They're yanks, and they drink coffee, so I don't see they problem. I quite like coffee chocolates, myself. 😛
Uncle joes is from my home town and my family still own the business to this day since 1898 keep doing your videos nice to see a different perspective on things
Oh wow too cool!! 😲😲😲😲 And thank you, we really appreciate the feedback!

The penguin bar was always in my lunch box as a kid 🙌
I wouldn’t consider a penguin a chocolate bar but more a biscuit. You can bite the top left corner and bottom right corner (or vice versa) and dunk it in your tea and suck it through like a straw, the Aussies do the Tim tam slam with biscuits similar to penguins.
We all have our own flags but the Union Jack is made up of the flags of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wales isn’t part off that flag although being a country inside Britain but we still have the best flag ever 🏴
Yes it's definitely a biscuit over a chocolate bar
We had Penguins for the lunchbox when we were at school.. PPPP- Pick up a Penguin…
Hiya, so penguins you can enjoy alongside a cuppa, so you don’t necessarily dunk it in your tea you bite and sip tea hahaha x
The revel reaction is funny as depending on what you get will depend whether you like them.
For sure!! It was really hard to give a rating to those for that very reason 😅😅😅😅
The Union flag represents the UK, so is made by combining elements from some of the various member countries.
Revels should be called Russian roulette
Totally! 🤣😂🤣😂
Union Jack : The Union Flag, or Union Jack, is the national flag of the United Kingdom. It is so called because it combines the crosses of the three countries united under one Sovereign - the kingdoms of England and Wales, of Scotland and of Ireland (although since 1921 only Northern Ireland has been part of the United Kingdom).
And Wales doesn't get on the flag itself because it had been "absorbed" by England before the act of union, so _technically_ it's represented by the English cross.
Would absolutely own to have a dragon on the UK flag tho...
Got it, yeah not sure why we never thought of that!!
@@MareSerenitisBy 'absorbed', you actually mean colonised, right? We don't actually want to be on the 'union' flag though; it's rubbish, while we have a stonking big draig goch (red dragon) on ours 🤷🏴
@@heidihumbugWould that be the same dragon that our English Patron Saint George slew?
@B-A-L Well, given that the dragon ‘your’ (Turkish) patron saint slayed was in modern day Libya, then no, it wouldn’t be. Amazing such a proud Englishman like yourself is so ignorant of the basics…!
If you add the flags on top of each other they make the Union Jack
Thank you!! 😁😁😁😁
We have Bourbon biscuits too in the UK and the secret is the penguin biscuits is an enhancement of those with the covered over chocolate 😂
I am old too & i buy my uncle Joe's mint balls in Home Bargains. I love them. Great reaction from the guys
It’s so wide spread and popular because the Union Jack is the flag the Royal Navy flew when taking out the African slave ships. When you saw that flag coming to you and you were slave trader you would literally 💩 yourself.. The world should know this flag as the true liberty flag. That’s why it is popular
I had a penguin with my lunch today and had the flipper flops joke on my biscuit.
This is like watching a herd of cows that have come up to the fence and stare at you while chewing the cud!
You're not wrong 🐄🤣😂😆
@@BLANKSnooneaskedforMind you the cows do have a more intelligent look on their faces!
@B-A-L also not surprising...we're certainly not the brightest crayons in the box! 😜🤪🤣😂
@@BLANKSnooneaskedforTrue but you do have a good sense of humour!
Hey, we'll take all we can get 🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks for the laughs!
Revels used be advertised by a Deerhunter russian roulette sketch. The coffee was the one to avoid🙀
I love the coffee one 😂
Oh I'd say the out takes are fecking priceless. 😅😂😂😂😂
Best way to eat a Penguin biscuit is to bite off a small corner then do the same on the opposite end of the biscuit, then use it as a straw with a hot drink, as soon as you start to feel the liquid coming through, shove the whole thing in your mouth, then smile and show everybody how happy you are
Penguin bar is a biscuit they all so do a orange flavour
I'm English 17 stone and enjoy sweets but I've never seen Uncle Joe's mint balls.
A penguin biscuit is for dipping in a hot dring yum 😋
Bahaaaaaaaaaa 5:45 when the children cry... Hmm I wonder where that was going. 😂😂😂😂😂 Me too me too. 😅😅😅😅😅
The Union Jack is the flag of Great Britain and incorporates elements from the St. Georges Cross flag for England, the St. Andrews cross of Scotland and the St. Patricks Saltire of Ireland, although there is no representation for the country of Wales in the Union Jack flag.
Try Walkers sensations crisps, especially the Thai sweet chilli. Loving your videos.
Try Tunnock's Tea Cakes & I Love a packet of Revels when watching a film in the cinema its the unexpectingnes I like.
You should try Lidl own brand chocolate made by J.D. Gross.
My fave is the Peruvian chocolate as it has a fruity tone.
We use to have a lidl 10 min away but it closed. now that closest one is 35 or so min away, making it a lot less convenient. I love some of lidl chocolate! Where are you from and what lidl do you go to ?
@@OohhMyDaysItsJosh I am down in Cornwall. I live out in the sticks so have to go into town for shopping. There is a small Lidl in Penryn which I can cope with (my autism struggles with large stores and annoying music)
Penguin bars are also amazing dunked in tea ;)
Not had Revels for years. Love the orange and coffee ones, but you don't tend to get many in the bag.
The toffee one pulled out a filling when I was younger
The best way to eat a penguin bar is;
Put it in the fridge first while you make a coffee.
When your coffee is ready to drink take out a penguin and bite one corner off both ends (diagonally opposite).
Put one bitten corner in the coffee then use the bar as a straw until you can't pull any more.
Now put the whole bar in your mouth for a "mouthgasm".
Australian Tim Tams are even better to use.
Don't no if you've tried a crunchie or smarties or kit Kat or flake or boost or caramac or club gold bars my favourite 😀
Have not had: Crunchie, Boost, Caramac or Club Gold Bars!! Will see if we can get some! 💯💯💯💯
sticky toffee pudding, treacle pudding, jam sponge pudding, all with custard
$6 for a pack of Penguins?!!! They're £1 in the supermarkets here.
I grew up on penguins 🤣💯
the best way to eat revel is grab a bunch and stick em all in your mouth at the same time , the bursts of flavour are fantastic.
The Union Jack / Union Flag is used to represent the UK but rarely used to represent just England. In sporting events etc. the English flag is used. I think people outside the UK struggle with understanding the UK as one nation made of 4 separate countries, one of which is part of an island shared with a country with a shared culture and a very similar name - Northern Ireland and Ireland became separate very recently when you consider the entire history of these islands.
It's a bit like the difference between "The Americas" and "North America" and "The United States of America". A bit.
There is a very good video that has had a lot of reactions done to it about the British Isles, the UK, Ireland, the Commonwealth, Crown Protectorates, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales (and Jersey and Guernsey etc) and how they all sort of fit together.
The English flag is flown quite regularly in England but it has (unfortunately) been used by a lot of Nationalist groups and is viewed sort of like the confederate flag. Sort of. Less for it's history and more for the connotations around who is perceived to be the kind of person who waves an English flag around. Except during the World Cup, Euros, the Ashes, any of the tennis Grandslams... Basically any sporting event that isn't the Olympics. Which we compete in as "Great Britain and Northern Ireland" which is synonymous with the UK but longer. And really the only time we use that phrase. Which is odd because it sort of means if you're from The Isle of Wight you probably shouldn't be on the team.
We're fucking weird dude.
Do not compare it to the confederate flag.
It isn't used because of weirdo's that hate England take offence to it.
The English should fly their flag as proud as the Scots and Welsh do, who ironically are the one's most offended whenever the English do.
The Union Jack is a flag for all 4 nations combined.
Union Jack because represents all the country’s ! Scotland,Ireland, wales and England
UK Candies for you to try, Victory V, Bounty, Sherbot Dips, Licquorice
I feel like you guys should include the cost of the products and convert from sterling to dollars, we all know that things taste better when you feel like you have got a bargain 😅
Bahaaaaaaa wish you could hear me laughing jebus those jokes penguin is a classic it's been a while for me since I had one.
Not eaten chocolate in years, not realised they even did white lion bars and I’m British.
Personally I prefer the White Lion bar to the original!! 😁😁😁😁
I hate the coffee Revel
I used to hate them too but guess my taste has changed as I like them now.
Have certainly had better coffee flavored things but not bad 😁😁😁😁
Well save them all up and send them to me cos I love them!
Never heard of those mint balls
Been around since 1898 and very famous in cartoons, poems, loads of articles (even had a song written about them...) - One of the things that Wigan in Lancashire is famous for!😊
Play Russian Roulette with the Revels , the loser gets the coffee one
You need to do an episode on the flags of the uk and how they work, it’s really confusing , the Welsh flag isn’t even on the Union Jack, every country is accounted for expect wales
Bite the opposite corners on the penguin biscuit and suck milk from a glass then quickly put the whole thing in your mouth, 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
I can't believe you paid $6 dollars for some penguins lol, they're are one of the cheapest chocolate bars, tasty tho. I've no clue who sold you those mint balls though as i have never seen them on sale in the UK and I'm old 😅. You need to try an actual Lion Bar, not the white one, and a crunchie. Also, if you try just chocolate bars, like a Cadbury Dairy Milk, you need to suck not chew lol. You'll enjoy it more, trust me 😉
mint balls sold all over the knot end in uk ,been around for yrs
Never seen them in my 60+ years but then again, never seen Nobby's Nuts either. 😁@@ianjohnboy
Chocolate biscuit not Chocolate bar
Uncle Joe's, made in my hometown, Wigan.
First like !
Congrats, you win! 🏆🏆🏆🏆
What do I win ?😜
The Union jack flag 🇬🇧 in comprises the whole of the UK which is England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales bit each country still has there individual flag Scotland 🏴 NI 🇨🇮 Wales 🏴
there's another distinction the flag you are talking about is the union flag the union jack is flown on navy ships
Wrong! By about 150 years... Both Union Flag AND Union Jack are correct - wherever OR whenever flown around the world. Confirmed by parliament, Winston Churchill and the Society of Vexologists.. Just letting you know! 🤔
You Americans should be familiar with the cross of St Andrew on the Union Jack. It also appears on the confederate flag. Yee- haw
Union flag, only called Union Jack when on a ship
Yes there are four countries in the United Kingdom ...oh and never call Northern Ireland just Ireland. I am British but I am not Scottish or Welsh or Northern Irish. I am English and British and I can State either as my nationality. We're old and have complex history.
Not wat was asked.
Britain and the UK are different Bodies , the UK consists of Scotland Wales England and Northern Ireland , Britain consists of Scotland Wales and England and we each have our own flags , the people who fly the Union Flag are Unionists , And the flag is only referred as the union jack whilst it is flown at sea.
For over 150 years the accepted (official) terminology for the flag of the UK is the Union Flag OR Union Jack, wherever and whenever flown around the world. Check with the Society of Vexologists - it's even been acknowledged in parliament over the years... Just saying ! 😊
Not true. You don't have to be a unionist to fly the British flag, only British and you can call it the Union flag or jack, being at sea makes no difference.
Lion bars are not as good as they used to be. They used to use puffed rice for the crunchy bit, but now they use some sort of generic "cereal balls" whatever the hell they are.
Nestle is a Swiss 😂😂😂
But is the chocolate bar?
Was it made by an English company the swiss bought?
Think before you post.
The Union flag "Not the Union Jack as that is a ship's flag" is a flag of the union of N Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and England... Each country in the union has a flag of their own......
Not what they asked.
@@Gambit771 Is your name really Karen? Do you eat crayons? The answer here is exactly on point... Who asked you to throw your two penneth in dick for bollocks; educate yourself, FFS...
Ok, I’ve never heard of those Uncle Joes mint balls. Nope
Penguins bite one corner off each end then suck the tea through like a straw them it goes all soft and melted trust me banging👌
Great Britain = England, Scotland and Wales (Due to one Land mass which is sub-divided) and the term "UK" is used to includes Northern Island to form the United Kingdom. Wales is formally known as a Principality! Due to its history from the Welsh Princes (Again Wales itself had sub divided regions that had its own secular Princes Prior to King Edward 1st. (Prince = Principle or Head Individual in its Day) King Edward was the total Boss and then got fed-up and proclaimed his Hair to the Throne as the Prince of Wales to stop the welsh internal bickering / threat to England in its time frame...... This is the Historical Answer' which is why Wales is not considered within the Union Flag. But it may have something to do with the diagonal red stripes (Above and Below)?? Anyway great Work all new to your channel and its fun and entertaining.
'Werther's Originals'....
best way to think on it. all the states of the usa have state flags, but you use the us flag (which was a british East india tradingg company flag with the union jack in the corner replaced with stars) as your main flag, the united kingdom is a country of countries.
They asked why the English don't fly the English flag.
Did anyone listen to the question asked?
You can't compare states to an actual country.
🇬🇧 Uk/United Kingdom = England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales)
🏴 England
Northern Ireland
The Union Jack flag is the decto national flag of the United Kingdom
Thank you! 😁😁😁😁
Union Jack only popular bc Baby Spice wore it as a mini dress 😂
That was Ginger Spice actually!
Flag of Wales is 🏴 best flag in the world... Union Jack is Great Britain 🇬🇧.. So we in Wales Scotland Northern Ireland and England all have 2 flags i suppose
No suppose about it. They all do have 2 flags.
Revels are amazing but don't be fooled in thinking they are all soft ( as am sure you found out ! )
The UK is Britain' is Scotland England Wales and Northern Ireland
I’ve never heard of uncle joes? Is this a regional product?
Yes, British.
The union jack is only the union jack at sea otherwise its the union flag and it depicts the union of the countries same as the 13 colonies and 50 States
You are ONLY about 150 years 'out of date' with this thinking. Both Union Flag OR Union Jack are the accepted (official) terminology for the UK flag - wherever OR whenever flown anywhere in the world ! Just saying... 🤔
@@stewedfishproductions9554
Hi not one hundred percent correct the union jack is not flown on buildings officially if you look at say Buckingham palace you will always see it referred too as the union flag people call it the union jack so this has crept in but on official buildings and official occasions it is the union flag though some reporters as Nd commentators say otherwise, I will direct you to gov.uk union flag flying guidance for the uk
It is both the Union Flag and Jack. Being at sea has no impact on that.
@Gambit771 again sort of right but the meaning of Jack is a naval flag flown from a short jackshaft on the bow of a commissioned vessel ,you can call the flag what you want but understand why it was named as such .
I find as an adult your taste buds are different than when you are a kid so you tend to have a lot more dislikes. Some sweets and chocolate are far too sweet making them not a favourite. I love the mint balls as they are good to suck on when you have a cold and sore throat.
Here's how I see it basically, any further input you need to look further on the internet. The Union flag is made up of the red Cross/ white background of both England and often forgotten equally Wales. Why not the Red Cadwalader Dragon and white and Green background? Well England in the past also had a White Dragon version but the Red Dragon of Wales although represents Wales was never an official Flag of the whole of Wales. Also Wales was part of England and visa versa. Scotland's Blue background on the diagonal with the white Cross Saltire represents the blue sky etc. Northern Ireland and people tend not to notice this, that on the Union flag the diagonal red Cross is cranked off centre on the Union Flag, so producing the larger white area top right upper corner. Reason for that is to show that all four Countries are equal. If the Red diagonal Cross was in line, Scotland would then be seen as behind which would beincorrect. As such the design is to show all four Countries are equal. As such because of that the Union flag became a work of art. Regarding the Flags of St George, St Andrew, St David, and St Patrick. We all choose the times which are right to fly them. On the whole the UK is not big at all on flying flags unless there is a proper reason to do so. I do have a Cross of St George but if I flew that or any other flag for no reason it seriously wouldn't be appreciated.
You don't need a reason to fly your country's flag.
@@Gambit771 I go along with that. But in the UK you would look a right pillock if you do it for no reason when we don't need to raise any flag to prove who we are because we don't need to prove who we are to anyone. When there is a real reason with some event when we (including myself) do. That way it then becomes more special.
The Union flag is a mixture of the Scottish English and Northern Ireland flags hence being called the Union Jack or butchers apron
Thanks so much! 😁😁😁😁
Seriously you berate British snacks chocolate etc yet you have hersheys twinkles etc
The reason you rarely see the England flag is because it's basically against the law to be proud of being English. You can fly any other flag in England but not the English flag.
The union jack is the flag of Britain. Britain is made up of England, Scotland, N.Ireland, Wales . Each country has its only individual Flag . The George Cross is Emgland. St Andrew Cross is Scotland . St Patrick's Cross is Northern Ireland . The 3 crosses combined make up the Union Jack . The Welsh flag is not part of the Union Jack because when Great Britain was original formed and the Union jack was designed Wales were not an independent country and were just a region of England known as cambria but gaines its independence as a country in its own right and became Wales .
Penguins are a biscuit not a chocolate
The Union Flag is made up, of Ireland, Scotland and England's flags. England has The St George's Cross Flag, White with a Red Plus, Scotland has the St Andrew's Cross which is a Blue Flag with a White Cross through the centre to each corner, The other part of the union Flag is the Red Saltire of St Patrick which is a White Flag with a Red Cross. Obviously Republic of Ireland is not part of the UK now. But it still remains. The only time the Flag should be called a "UNION JACK" IS WHEN IT'S ON A BOAT, Under Maritime Law. Otherwise the Flag of the UK is called a UNION FLAG
ONLY about 150 years out of date wi th the Union Jack comment. Both Union Flag OR Union Jack are the accepted terminology whenever or wherever the UK flag is flown. Just saying! 🤔😊
If you want a history lesson can't do it here sensitive Sallys. 😅
You don’t see the English flag because the powers that be connect it to the far right (total bollocks) 🏴🏴👍
The England flag is more todo with sports as different parts of the UK have different teams in sports such as Wales Scotland and England
If you are buying these U.K. treats in the U.S.A. Be prepared to be skinned alive on prices. When we see stuff from the U.K. on your shelves we cringe at those prices.
