Okay okay, we’ve tried a lot of snacks and sweets but we need to know…what other “food” type items should we try next?? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I'd love to see you try more biscuits and/or cakes. I'd love to see you try my fave biscuits: Bourbon biscuits, custard creams, penguins and nice. Also if you look on the back of a penguin wrapper before opening it, on the blue strip you'll see the start of a very cheesy joke, lift the blue stripe up to reveal the punchline underneath!
Or you could start trying some Xmas snacks like Cadbury snowballs, pigs in blanket flavoured crisps or even proper british snacks like Mince pies and Xmas pudding! (If the store you go to gets them in!)
@@pressplaypodcast3604 fantastic suggestions…thank you!! 😁😁😁😁
@@BLANKSnooneaskedforChinese water torture and fighting each other blindfolded with
Pool noodles
A crisp sandwich, but made with Brit Bread (you should find it in the freezer. Obviously defrost it overnight). Us Brits are renowned for slapping anything tasty between 2 slices of bread and butter.
You should try british versions of American foods & sodas. Like British mountain dew, coca cola, pepsi etc;, british cheetos and so on
UK tend to think of Pot Noodle as cheap student, junk food 😅
Yep! They were almost mandatory in 6th form (or Year 13? Whatever year holds 16+ y/o)
As are all ramen noodles, they are a reason they are a staple found in dorms and prisons, because they are CHEAP!
Full on junk food from the UK, my mum called it down-and-out food eating a pot noodles
Can't believe you didn't get the OG flavour " Chicken and mushroom " ;)
Glad you found and enjoyed the others though \m/
We shall scour the earth!! 😀😀😀😀
@@BLANKSnooneaskedfor scoured earth might taste better lol. Chicken and mushroom is the standard flavour. Like all pot noodles its cheap and does the job but nothing mind blowing.
Completely agree, chicken and mushroom is my fave
Chicken and mushroom all the way , you must try it ❤️🔥🔥🔥🇬🇧
Even though it's the one of the 2 most basic flavours,it's actually my favourite, closely followed by the rib then bombey
The curry flavour is very much like our 'chip shop curry' - a sauce that is poured over chips. It's not remotely hot (despite the name) but great with a battered sausage
That does sound good 🤤🤤🤤🤤
I always add a little extra curry powder and a touch of chilli powder to my curry Pot Noodle.
The Bombay Bad Boy is the best Pot Noodle they ever made, closely followed by the curry one but like what was mentioned it could do with more spice and less sweet.
Pot noodle sandwiches 👌
Is that a thing people do?! 😲😲😲😲
@@BLANKSnooneaskedfor add hot pepper sauce and eat them on toast with butter... banging!
As a British person, I did not know people did that 😱
These are very much a British institution, a mainstay for camping trips and music festivals, but in recent years other brands have brought out versions which step things up a few notches to the next level, if you can find them ITSU do a range of rice noodle pots which are just incredible, Chilli Miso flavour being my favourite.
Yeah we’ll be on the lookout!! 👀👀👀👀
Bombay Bad Boy has been my favourite for years, but has now been beaten by Doner Kebab. N.B. Lovers refer to them as "Snot Poodles" and they are mined quite near to where I live (yes, mined).
Okay we're gonna have to get our hands on this "Doner Kebab" flavo(u)r!!
Another product where they fall into the category of "Not as good as they used to be".
The Beef & Tomato when made by Golden Wonder used to contain soy meat pieces in them and the gravy wasn't piss water thin. I had a couple of teaspoons of gravy or onion gravy granules into the mix to get flavour and thickness back.
I like the fact you geezers just tuck into the food. No nonsense intro, straight in. Good old yanks. Our cousins.
There was a time we had all of that extra stuff, but found it better to just jump right on in 💯💯💯💯 Appreciate you!!
Pot Noodles ruled decades ago when the only competition in the UK was Super Noodles, and Super Noodles were always crappy and very expensive. Now we have access to the Eastern brands of noodles over here, Pot Noodles are a childhood memory we only get every-so-often. I would go for a Bombay Bad boy, but it's probably a chicken pot noodle with extra spice in it.
It was like watching 4 orphans auditioning for the part of Oliver Twist and failed as none of you wanted any more.
One thing you lads need to remember with those, they are reduced salt compared an average cup noodle. You had your own stuff to it
Pot noodle curry flavour on toast absolute delicacy.
The UK has had Pot Noodles since before we had ramen. Chicken and mushroom is nice. The great thing about Pot Noodles is that you can add less water to get a slightly stronger flavour.
Student food !! But as a quick snack it’s ok !!
Student food 🤣😂🤣😂
I’ve been congested a week plus. I was in the break room waiting on my chef woo ramen to cool in the microwave and some moron shoved his meal in ignoring my yelps and spilling the broth. There’s nothing sadder than eating a container of salty noodles and not much else.
We didn’t see Chicken and Mushroom which is one of the 3 original flavours along with the Original Curry (my favourite) and Beef and Tomato.
We’re told they normally have it stocked at our “Local Dealer” so they should have some next time! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
funny when he said beef and tomato is not something he thinks goes together ,oh dear where have you been never heard of spagetti bolognaise mmm
bad boy is the greatest pot noodle ever, i always have a few in the cupboard for late night snacks, good with toast dipped in too
You must try Bombay bad boy that’ll tickle your taste buds.😂
Really enjoying this episode guys !!! ❤
We left out the warm yellow Tango this week 🤪🤪🤪🤪
There's an insane amount of Pot Noodle flavours. Others include: Chicken & Mushroom, Chinese Chow Mein, Sweet & Sour, Chicken Korma, BBQ Pulled Pork, Piri-Piri Chicken, Doner Kebab, and Christmas Dinner (Gravy & Stuffing).
There's also a Pot Noodle Fusions range, including flavours such as: Malaysian Curry, Thai Green Curry, Katsu Curry, and Chilli Chicken.
Then you have 'Lost The Pot' Noodle (a more traditional noodles in a packet approach), which has flavours such as: Chip Shop Curry, Smokin' BBQ, and Champion Chicken.
There's even Pot Pasta, which comes in both Carbonara and Bolognese flavours...
And I believe they also brought back the Pot Rice range
Wow we’ve got some catching up to do 🤣😂🤣😂
Bro… i didn’t know Sweet & Sour still existed. that was fire!!!
No one has ever described a Pot Noodle as 'Lovely' before. And no one has ever decanted one into a bowl either. You say it lacks something? Yes, the flavour of the plastic cup! Nobody who can cook actually buys Pot Noodle, they are for students and sad single men who live on instant snacks. That said I do have a Bad Boy in the cupboard for emergencies and now I really want to eat it!
Mini Cheddars, Mini Rolls, Cadbury Fingers, Flap Jack and Magic Wands.
bombay bad boy has i said before is the best. I eat the noodles and then drink the rest like soup. The liquid left over is really spicy. Really enjoying your vids guys 🤗
Thank you so much!! 😁😁😁😁 Means a ton!!
Never go to the water level marker. Fill it right up then drink the sauce 👍
@@mikeblunt2055 I do aswell Mike 🤗
Try dipping buttered bread in the sauce! 😋
i like the way this turned out as a mini mukbang hahaha PoTNoodLe mukbang
Hahahaha we do what we can 😅😅😅😅
They bring a Christmas dinner flavour pot noodle out at this time of year they call it pot noel. There is also a chicken and mushroom and a sweet and sour
Christmas Dinner flavor? Like everything you’d find in a Christmas Dinner in a noodle flavor? How does that work?? 😅😅😅😅
I didnt think the UK knew how to make sticky ribs! Good to know!
Add a spoon of peanut butter to the curry based ones. Makes a satay. And elevates it exponentially.
Bombay bad boy or peri peri pot noodle tipped on chippy chips is epic 😊
Sweet 'n sour Pot Noodle hits the spot for me!! 😋😋😋
Chicken and mushroom, chow mein and sweet and sour are my favs
You forgot Chicken and Mushroom
Unfortunately they were out of stock at our "local dealer" at the time 😔😔😔😔 But we got some a few days ago to try soon!!
As a Brit, there is no excuse for Pot Noodle. But I have to mention: Beef and tomato are the most essential ingredients for a quality bolognese
Gotta be honest...have never had bolognese before!! Have had bologna though 🤣😂🤣😂
That one did confuse me. Burgers regularly have tomato as a topping, any beef on a pizza, alot of other Italian foods and Mexican foods aswell.
Bombay Bay boy & the chicken chow mien ones were the go to one's in my household 😊
Ditto 😊
Chicken & Mushroom dudes. The absolute best.
Bombay bad boy is by far the best pot noodle !
You lads got to have a Cheddar cheese and pickled onion sandwich !
Bombay Bad Boy have actually been tamed since they first came out. They were close to inedible at first
Chicken n mushroom and Bombay bad boy are elite!
Chicken & mushroom was the original flavour Pot Noodle.
Bombay Bad Boy, with a splash of Frank's Red Hot and Encona Scotch Bonnet sauce is almost edible.
Their struggle with the tame ass bombay badboy is hilarious, don't try a vindaloo or phall ffs lol 😂
When I first moved to the states from England there was 😅not chicken Pot Noodle, beef and tomato and curry. I’m flying home in two weeks I’ll have to try the others.
Yeah cool!! 😁😁😁😁
i doubt you can get it "over the pond" - but in the North of England a local "delicacy" is Hollands steak pudding. Found in chippys (chip shops)- it's steamed cooked rather than baked in the oven like the pies from the chippy (meat / meat & potatoe / steak & kidney) so doesn't have a hard pastry like the baked pies - smothered in chippy gravy it is one of my favourite dishes - and also a fast track to a heart attack! -
Wow…sounds like our kind of dish! 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Chicken and mushroom , sweet and sour, beef and tomato, Chou main where the original pot noodles. And quick and easy is the motto no messing
Chicken and Mushroom! Although the bad boy is my fave I add hot sauce to mine.
Yeah we’ve heard a lot about the Chicken and Mushroom since this aired…will have to find! 😁😁😁😁
Pot noodles are a staple over here if you go camping , does the job 😁.
Maybe something savory like a meat pie. Just my two cents.
I think our “local dealer” has those, so we’ll give it a look our next trip!! 😁😁😁😁
Bombay bad boy is king! Best on a hangover, need to get the water just right
Just as I thought. The British version of Cup-o-Noodles. Cheers from Tennessee
Yeah that’s pretty much what we got from it…just thicker sauce which was nice!
If you mix the curry and bomb bay bad boy togather is great
Great video guys keep up the good work
Rick B
Sounds like Josh might have been onto something then 😁😁😁😁 Thanks for the feedback Rick!
Chicken and mushroom fellas was original flavour of the 80s
I have the curry flavour with HP sauce mixed in and pieces of buttered bread in it
Hold up…what is HP sauce? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@BLANKSnooneaskedfor HP (Houses of Parliament) Brown Sauce, I like the fruity variety.
You must try chicken and mushroom. It’s the most popular flavour by a country mile.
It's not the Pot Noodle brand but I love spicy Korean kimchi-flavoured instant noodles.
Chicken n Mushroom r OG (Green) #1, then curry #2, then chow mein #3, then sweet and sour #4 although they're rare as 🦄 💩 unfortunately.
Definitely will have to be on the lookout for those other flavors! 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Pot noodles are best eaten as a full pot, with some bread to dip in and take some of the sauce out before eating the noodles. They taste better when you add extra sauce to them, like the beef one more tomato sauce and the chicken one more soy sauce. They do all different flavours through the year, at the moment there is a donner kebab one out (haven't tried it yet).
Yeah now that sounds good!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Yes totally agree. I can imagine eating these from a bowl would not be the same at all. Also.. I’ve tried the donner kebab, I was very excited to try it as I love kebabs.. and it does somewhat actually taste like one but I was still a bit underwhelmed. My favourites are the sticky rib and the green one with additional soy sauce !
I like the 'sweet n sour' and the 'chow mein' ones
Fish Finger Butty.... Yorkshire Pudding with Gravy...Bangers & Mash....But a snack... cheese & onion sandwich maybe Tomato on proper BRITISH bread & real Butter 😋
Chicken and mushroom boys
The beef and tomato lends itself to other ingredients. You can throw in Worcestershire sauce or balsamic or A1 to completely change the flavour profile. All of them need salt adding.
You didn’t do fish and chips properly. Wrong fish, wrong chips . Also / try shepherds pie
You blokes are great. Love you all
Taylor you can get xtra large Bombay Badboy !!
Hahahahaha we love you guys 🤣😂❤️🇬🇧
Bombay bad boy and sticky rib are the best ones
Not sure if there is a sweet and sour. Definitely hit up Greg's if your over in UK. Did you try Fray Bentos pies? Hot dogs are definitely a different texture. A good steak and kidney pudding will sort you out
I make them with half the amount of water so they are more stodgy and have them on toast 😊
wtf!
chicken and mushroom is my fave flave XD
Chicken & mushroom is the best and bombay badboy is a close second
Bit late in the day to your videos, but did you remember to add the sauce packet to the pot noodles?!
The bacon sizzler pot noodle was the best. I still mourn it's loss
Bombay Badboy got me through Afghanistan.
Bombay Badboy and Donner kebab( With chilli sauce) are the best pot noodles in my opinion .
Drinking the left over juices is what hits the spot. And I hope you Yanks are using a Kettle to make those pot noodles and please don’t ever tell me you microwaved the water or done ridiculous thing you people do. A kettle in the UK is our pride and joy and the kettle is obviously needed to make a pot noodle. You can’t eat it cold you need to eat it when it scolding hot when you have to blow on it. That’s how we eat our pot noodles and then drink the juices left at the bottom where all the flavour is 🤤
Bombay bad boy ismy favorite and if youadd hot chili 🌶️ flakes its even better
The Brits tend to eat from the container it come's in? UK here.
If you can track it down the Piri-Peiri Chicken Pot Noodle will test your taste buds
Fellow brits is it just me or does any of you put cheese into your chicken and mushroom pot noodles wow it taste so good. Done it for years, grated chedder though.
Oh wow!! Before or after heating?? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@BLANKSnooneaskedfor I normally put the cheese in straight after the hot water. I then give it a good mix.
@@VampireGirlxIt's just you!
A Bombay bad boy with a prawn sandwich dipped in, gert lush you.
Not gonna lie.. As a care worker that's living in England.. All I ever eat is stuff like this.. *bad habit* I know.. But the best flavours has to be the green one or black one
You’re definitely not alone in eating things that aren’t necessarily good for you 😅😂🤣😆
@@BLANKSnooneaskedfor 😂😂😂 I don't eat much of pot noodles anymore.. You should try a brand called SOBA I think it's Korean but it's very tasty 💯
The bombay bad boy is the top pot noodle.
You didn't have the Chicken & Mashroom Pot Noddle, which is the original Pot Noddles!!
You need to put them in a wrap and mix them stiffer.
👏👏yess😂😂 I love a bombay badboy, the trick is not to flood it though, to much water weakens the flavour and heat
Much better straight from the pot of course. Also note.... they're completely meat free...
We do have other makes of noodles in packets and they taste better to me but thats just my opinion.
Interesting, do you have any go to brands?? We’d love to try them too and compare! 😁😁😁😁
Nak'd thai curry noodle pots are best.
Now that sounds like a winner! 🏆🏆🏆🏆
Sweet & Sour
lol beef and tomato is not a flavour profile that goes together erm the Italians, Indians Spanish to mention just a few might disagree 😂 I’m off for a spaghetti bolognese
Oh, ok, no wonder I couldn't find noodles at the dispensary. Pot Noodle is like our Ramen Cup of Noodles. Spicy foods? Depends on the amount of heat... spicy for flavor, but not at a level where it becomes uncomfortable to eat, like buffalo wings.
Yeah we definitely don’t mind heat if it enhances the flavor, but heat just to incinerate your insides is no fun 🤣😂🤣😂
You have not lived until you have had a chicken and mushroom pot noodle butty. Bread, butter, noodles. Gourmét shit.
Make sure not to put too much water in, the consistency should be quite thick.
Piri Piri Chicken beats Bombay Bad Boy for taste. Easily the best Pot Noodle
Should of got the Donner kebab flavour
Haven’t seen that one yet! 😲😲😲😲
doner kebab is my fave pot noodle
I make a sandwich out of them.
(Remember, we butter our sarnies)
Not familiar with the term sarnies…is that bread?? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Sarnies is slang for Sandwiches@@BLANKSnooneaskedfor
BOMBAY BADBOY only one i eat
That one is definitely top notch 💯💯💯💯
How's it going AT YOUR LOCAL A and E 😂
😀😜🤣😂
Make me giggle, how much does a pot noodle cost in the USA?
Unfortunately we don't have Pot Noodle available here for general purchase, but we were able to get these at our "local dealer" of all British foods and snacks for $3.50 a cup 👍👍👍👍
@@BLANKSnooneaskedfor $1.75 here in not so sunny England.
@@Harvy500 yeah that's why we couldn't purchase one for each of us to eat out of the cup and had to distribute in bowls 🤣😂🤣😂
Chicken and mushroom
Definitely curry but would only ever rate the ok
Pot noodle is definitely better than our instant noodle assortment here in the states 😅😅😅😅
Chicken and mushroom, omd
