A souring agent is added to your chocolate that's why it tastes like sick to us brits. It's some some sort of acid that's equivalent to sick.
Since 🇬🇧 Cadbury changed the recipe I now love Galaxy!!
No matter which country the chocolates were from, you all ate them with no complaints, so all great.

ALDI stores in the USA stock European chocolate.
You will be surprised how smooth a German 60-70% cocoa plain/dark chocolate bar is.

we use a different process for milling the chocolate it makes a sweeter product with no aftertaste it makes a big difference.
Of all the great stuff to come out of the USA I must admit your chocolate tastes like 'Scotblock cooking chocolate or something you buy for dogs in a pet store.

A few surprise votes going on there ! .. we have a toiletry range over here in the UK called Dove ,so every time you ate a chunk of that I was imagining it tasting like a bar of soap !! 😂😂😂
We were surprised by some of our votes too 😅😅😅😅 But I guess that's what the blindfold is for 🤣😂🤣😂 And thank goodness it didn't taste like soap, although that would have been a funny twist if Dove soap was used instead of Chocolate 😆😆😆😆

From the sounds of it though - seems like Dove is closer to UK style chocolate than US Cadbury?
That sounds like an accurate assessment...it was definitely more of a task to distinguish the Dove from Galaxy than US Cadbury from UK Cadbury 😅😅😅😅

Hey! correctly indentifying, and prefering 5 out of 5 UK produced chocolate bars is the first step in passing the special immigration test that we have just for Americans, here in the UK.
Your next test is never forgetting to get crisps/chips and chips/french fries the right way round - It appears from some of your videos that that might take some practice!
The next test is whether you're able to pronounce ALL of the following CORRECTLY:
i) Worcestershire Sauce
ii) Aluminium (changing the spelling to match your lazy spelling is not allowed)
iii) Herbs
iv) Vase
v) Caramel
The next test is a two parter:
1) Name an adjective that describes your apprehension, fear, interest, enthusiasm, etc. involving an upcoming event, APART from 'excited'; (saying "excited FOR" will result in instant disqualification!!!)
2) Choose an adverb, from the thousands available to emphasize your feelings OTHER THAN 'Super'.
Should you fail any of the above, at any time while being tested, you'll be on the next flight back to the USA!
(Don't despair though: if you were trying to enter the country from Eastern Europe or any of the Arab countries, the Conservative party would have had you deported to Rwanda, to spend the rest of your days in Africa instead!)
(So if you have any Eastern European or Arab background, you'd be better off waiting until after July 4th when they'll no longer be in government!) 😀

absolutely not! its diabetes in a bowl. I was excited to try American cereal when I visited America and was Oh My Days! NO! Its sickly sweet. I mean you must find out cereal here in the UK pretty bland and I can't disagree with you but give me bland over diabetes any day!

@@brianbrotherston5940 Yep, someone said before about the takeover, I’ll keep my fingers crossed they don’t eff it up.
They are a quality Chocolatier, more than a bar of Dairy Milk definitely, but not grossly overpriced, and they always have special deals on and sell items cheap after Easter and Xmas for example. I’ve walked past other Chocolatiers that were WAY more expensive.
How on earth was Dairy Milk a tie? 😮

Guys, I've been catching up so won't watch this one through as I've seen you tasting Cadburys before... but some advice if I may. When you get to the point that Brits start sending you stuff to try there's a couple of things to be careful of. One: Colemans English Mustard. It's violently HOT - use it like your own mustard and you can kiss your nasal hair goodbye... use it sparingly! Two: Fisherman's Friends original flavour... these are oval shaped 'sweets' originally created for long haul fishermen to help with their breathing or sore throats. Again, they are very strong and to be honest, don't have that nice a taste. What they do is what they say they will do - you will be able to breathe better.. maybe break them in two for your first try. I love them - and Colemans mustard. 🙂

@@furyivIts called butyric acid which they use as a preservative to prolong shelf life. The irony is that if they didn't use it the chocolate wouldn't be sitting on the shelves that long anyway because people would actually want to buy it!

Some of you really enjoy the questionable chocolate you get in the US. That is interesting. I am sure it is nostalgia or simply your palette. Some people are picky and the change in texture, creaminess, intense flavour, lack of sugar and the focus on cocoa will put them off.
Some of our votes definitely surprised us when it was revealed who voted what at the end...didn't expect as many US votes 😅😅😅😅 But I guess that's what the blindfold is for...no bias! 😆😆😆😆
I guess its what you are used to. I'm not exactly rich so I do most of my shopping at Lidl and I buy their cheap coffee which I'm used to now but if I go to a friend's house who usually buys Nescafe Gold Blend I notice how much better it tastes. Naturally I spend more time at his place than he does mine lol

@@BLANKSnooneaskedforLindt is the most well know brand but there's also Milka and of course the inevitable Toblerone, which is the most invasive non-native species in Britain! You can't go into a food store without being overwhelmed by its mountainous presence (did ya see what I did there?) When I was a kid the best chocolate was Suchard but that seems to have disappeared from the shelves.
I don't like Galaxy.. not sure why

Is it just me or was that video edited extremely badly? The reactions were cut to a score chart and were not seen properly. Then at the end a person off camera give the results.
Our apologies. We had to cut the visual part of the scoring because someone (me) kept putting their finger out of camera view :)
