Rumor has it that this is the base to go for GT7, most of the fastest on the international leaderboard use it. I found it perfect and on par with the CSW V2.5 in the belt driven world on PC.

Tire wear and tire flex feeling is top notch on the TGT within Grand Turismo 7 and I believe why the top GT7 users still prefer this setup over DD wheels. Very good car control. I also use this base for ACC and love the feeling of the Force FB in the game. Still an excellent setup in my opinion for years to come, I can go DD anytime and I'm in no rush, Cheers.

i want to get my first wheel, i’m really serious about racing games but controller doesnt do it for me anymore. do you think the tgt 2 would be a great wheel for someone who plays pc and ps4? i heard horror stories about fanatec csl DD’s back pins to connect pedals and shifter and how they easily crack, plus the fanatec wheel feels really cheap people say.
so can you please take the time to tell me about the thrustmaster tgt 2 for a first wheel? is 6.4nm enough to give me a hard time? i’d really want that. thank you in advance!

Funny. Peak pandemic and I could not find the TGT in stock ANYWHERE! I went with the Fanatec CSL Elite and do not regret my decision. When the GT DD PRO was released, I still couldn't the TGT II anywhere, so I went with the DD PRO. Since then I've bought some of Thrustmaster's more "economic" wheelbases and I've been having fun for what they are. I like the Idea of having my own custom steering wheels (Arduino and are recognized officially as a standard Thrustmaster steering wheel) to play with the T300RS/TX. So, when the Playstation version of the T818 is released I'm saying goodbye to Fanatec. I already own a high end Direct Drive wheel for PC (VRS DFP) but something about GT7 calls for my attention.

  • @jn1211
    @jn1211 ปีที่แล้ว +6

tgt2 was the absolute best choice to make up here in canada. I only had a grand to spend and all the DD options were going to cost more due to shipping and border fees and currency conversion. 300-500 more for the moza and fanatec options, and my disabled ass on a fixed income doesn't have the ability to save money. tbh, I shouldn't have got the wheel, but it was settlement money for my government having me raped and tortured in foster care because I was too savage to be raised with my own people, so I kinda wanted something fun since I earned that money in the most horrific way possible.

Hi mate i just upgraded from the T300 to the Tgt-2 today and i would highly recommend sticking with your T300! The Tgt-2 basically feels the same as a T300 with a very annoying GT mode where it just vibrates constantly.

I have more powerful, more expensive sets, but still use my tgt2 as well. I just love the thing. I have a podium dd1 ps4/5 version and the dd plus extreme on the way, but idk man I don’t wanna part with it. I love the tlcm pedals, Sparco handbrake and sequential, and a modded th8a. I use console so I can’t mix ecosystems, so I have 2 separate setups. I also have a ton of different wheels for it but tend to lean toward the tgt rim most the times. Most people get a direct drive and never look back, not me. I split my play time between them, I tend to be faster on the thrustmaster a lot of times, maybe cuz I crank the torque up on the other one I’m not sure, I’m gonna do a proper test to see which I’m faster with, usually people say the dd would be faster and more responsive, tgt is as fast and responsive as a belt wheel can be, great for rally and drift.

Liked and subbed 👍🏻. The algorithm lead me here, on rare occations YT is right 😆
I´ve been looking at this wheel for a long time. I currently use the T300rs, and the T-LCM pedals.
I have tried the openwheel as well, drove with it for about six month, but in the end, the diameter is to small, and its not suitable for all car types. Switched to the 310p-competition, and now it is the only wheel I use, ONLY for the larger diameter, the buttons has the wrong feeling I think, and the MFD is not precise enough, I sometimes get the wrong menus up, while driving.
SO! The diameter on the T-GT 2 stops me from bying it, because the only thing that I really want from the wheel is the button layout.
If I could mix my 310p rim with the T-GT2 buttons, it would be perfect. (I dont think thrustmaster understands that some of us are "grown ups", and require things to be a bit bigger 😁)
I ONLY! Play gran turismo, and have done since the first edition from 97.
I think that gamers that only plays console are a bit left in the dirt, we only get limited options with driving gear, that is frustrating I think.
Of course now logitech has come out with a DD wheel, but it is way overpriced!, and you cant get a shifter, or handbrake, so that is def. Not a first choice.
Thrustmaster however has a pretty fair customer service. I wrote to them about their coming DD wheel, and they replied a few days after, that it would not be compatible with console, PC only. (But after logitechs new DD, and the fanatec "cheap" DD they might have changed their mind?)
    I hope so 🙃
It would be nice with playstation content, when ever there is news for us few people that only uses PS, and only plays singleplayer/campaign.👌🏻

@@kikarz88 if noise is an issue, dont buy the T300,.. you CAN get fans that fits, and are super quiet, but you have to be able to replace it yourself, and a little bit of soldering( the original fan is 3-pin, but most GOOD fans are only 2-pin)
If you replace it, you have to use “ forced fan mode”, because with the missing pin, you dont have the temperature-reading.
