I am getting my T300 RS GT today. I am a new sim racer and I do not want to dive into it too crazy, though I could acquire better direct driver versions. Even got a foldable seat (Playseat Challenger X) and should soon get the PSVR 2. Getting into sim racing is not cheap. PS5 - £475 Playseat Challenger X - £240 T300 RS GT wheel - £300 PSVR 2 - £530 Not counting extra remotes (£65), charger (£25) and games (like Gran Turismo 7 - £62). Almost £1750 just to begin. So, I am not investing heavy in any top notch sim racing equipment yet.
no offense but just get a wheel and pedals and start setting competitive times, forget the seat and psvr if you would like to get to a certain level of skill
I used a T-150 while I was figuring out if GT7 was worth it, and (coming from a TS-XW on my PC) was very surprised how good it was. It also worked great for AC on PS4. Get a T150 and a PS4 and you have an outstanding inexpensive driving sim. I later upgraded to PS5 and a DD pro but TBH I passed all the license tests using that little T150 and I still miss it. It was a great little wheel.
Best belt drive for PS4/5 is the Thrustmaster TGT2 with T-CLM pedal set .I moved up to DD and went for a Logitech G-Pro and pedal set .£1250 may be a bit pricey but it's perfect and worth every penny IMO.You'll need an aluminium cockpit and GT Omega are easily the best value .My prime was under £700 incl seat .
As someone who’s trying to get into sim racing but doesn’t want cheap equipment, fanatec really gets my attention but so many bad reviews and I’m in U.S. so to be so far away and spend that kinda money scares me especially if something isn’t working but I love the huge eco system. Logitech pro seems like a viable option, while pricy the downside is no eco system like an upgraded shifter.. feels like it’s a loose loose one way or the other.
I’m strongly considering switching back to fanetec with the club sport DD+ from the Logitech G Pro. I love the base but dislike the pedals and tired of waiting for Logitech ecosystem. Will u be doing a review for the Club sport DD+. Any info on it specifically with console would really help. Love ur content and thank u for all the hard work
Pretty solid video yet I feel like picking a point of contention since I’m bought in on the Logitech Pro wheel & pedals! You didn’t really speak to the fact that the logi pro in PS edition is also PC compatible, nothing about the fact it has a pretty solid Wheel QD that’s better then Fanatec unless you pay extra for the just released QR2 and good luck getting that shipped quickly ! As for the pro pedals your criticism about price might be a continental issue since at $350 that’s a lot for what they are. In the USA when buying wheel and pedals together Logitech gives you an automatic discount that basically brings the pedals down to about $260 dollars and if you have other discount codes they will stack ontop of their bundle discount. At that price and with what’s included they compare far more favorably against even the CSL elites in my opinion and use. Also failed to mention if you get a Fanatec PS compatible base and decide to buy the club sport pedals you must have a laptop to update their firmware before they will work with any of their PS bases … Logitech Pro is full on plug and play albeit to firmware update you must get a PC/MAC access. Although in my experience logitechs usually come with the latest firmware on newer products, old stock not so much.
Fanatec needs to drop the price of the DD pro and make it more available in Canada. I want the game-specific switches so bad but the will is still unobtainium for plebs like me.
After almost three years with the T300, and a couple of months with the Tlcm, just pulled the plug on the GT DD Pro and the Elite V2 pedals, with the Mclaren Gt3 wheel as well since I play on xbox too. Lets hope it doesn't take too much to arrive.
@@josephobuck5409, the GT DD Pro is a substancial step forward. Maybe not in terms of strenght (mainly because I use the ff at 5 in GT7) but in terms of how smooth and detailed the force feedback is. The pedals are way better than the Tlcm as well, I adapted easily to them.
I have the exact same Thrustmaster setup as you had, and I'm getting the exact same Fanatec setup as you have now. I am borrowing the GT DD Pro 8nm from a friend at the moment, to test how it feels. And imo it's pretty strong and detailed. He has the ClubSport V3 inverted pedals though. But I'm ordering the Elite V2 for myself. Are you still happy with your Elite v2 pedals and your GT DD pro 8nm? Any complaints at all, or smooth sailing? (or driving rather) 😂
Have thrustmaster t150 and im more than satisfied i love it. Brings gt7 on psvr2 to a whole new level. Ive never even tried without. I bought it same day i bought gt7
The thing that sucks with the newer wheels is you can't use the left pedal as the brake like I did with my g27. It felt more comfortable and let my hips relax so i could game longer.
I love my DD Pro with boost kit and load cell and McLaren wheel. It was worth the extra money to me. I came from a T150. I was blown away by the difference between the two.
How long did it take you to actually get your setup from the date you ordered? I’m wondering because I’m starting to hear a lot of negative about Fanatec not shipping orders while people have spent over $1k with them
Do not buy the Turtle Beach Wheel for X-Box ! The Display does nor work with any X-Box Game, Non of them, You would think it would as dissplayed in their ad ! $700. bucks for half the functions !
I'm thinking of getting the T300 RS as my first wheel but the overheating issue really holds me back. This model was released in 2014 and Thrustmaster to this day couldn't bother to address the issue. They also don't provide official warranty here in Brazil so we're stuck with either the store provided warranty or just luck. I was even thinking of getting one of the more 'affordable' DD wheels but since none of the manufacturers have official retailers here, they end up costing pretty much double the price of the T300 RS. It's really frustrating.
If only the overheating holds you back from buying a t300 es dont worry. Theres a forced fan mode what you can switch on. I used one like this for 5 years straight every day. Also 2-3 hours races. No issues at all. Never... Nothing.
@@badboykiller9926 I appreciate the tip but the design flaw is still inexcusable. Imagine if NVidia goes: “Hey guys here’s our brand new RTX 5080, it has a few overheating issues so make sure to crank the fan speeds all the way to 100% so it doesn’t overheat and then thermal throttle okay?” Imagine the backlash. Anyway, I’ll buy one and see what happens for a week.

Great video! Thank you very much. I use a Thruthmaster T300 GT on a PS5 and mainly play ACC, GT7 and EA WRC. I was thinking of switching to a Logitech G Pro. It's expensive but the feedback I've seen is that it gives a very good feel in ACC and GT7, even though it's pedals are not the best, nor does it have an ecosystem. The new CS DD+ from Fanatec scares me because of Fanatec's bad customer service in case there is a problem. You think it's really not worth it to trade the T300 GT for the Log. G Pro?
It's not that fanatec has bad customer service it's that their support department is located in Germany so if you're anywhere outside of Europe it's takes longer to get in touch with them and get service done luckily for me they have a US based service warehouse so I didn't have to pay for shipping when I had to get a replacement product
Logitech wheels are honestly only good for a used market value. Example. 929 is $400 cdn and shifter is 80$. I got both seperatky on FB for 250 total. I spent another 80$ on a stand thats on amazon for 180$. So i have the basics of everything but a dedicated seat. (Use my gaming chair) Once you spent that $400 on a wheel you might aswell spend that little bit for a DD wheel. Getting an entry DD for 500$ cdn + shipping ect is far superior for the $$ value
Which wheel would be good for Console PS5 for Assetto Corsa Competizione ? Will these wheels work as good on other racing games or are they the best for Gran Turismo only?
Im looking to upgrade and i wanted to know if there was any driving wheel with working analog sticks preferably the right analog stick for ps5 so i can change my camera angles without switching to my controller. Thats what i need to do with the t80 Thrustmaster. New to driving wheels since i was too poor as a kid.
I think for me with a PS5 in Canada the Fanatec delivery is bad, price exchange and duty are off the charts, long waits in customs also. From a 3nd party the fanatec is 2 grand Canadian $, just for the base and wheel, pedals are extra. YIKES ! The Logitech pro in Canada is the same with taxes its 1900 $, too much. I wish Moza would come out with a PS5 version but i contacted them and they said not for a year or so.
uhhh Fanatec or logitech, as a owner of a gt-I I can affirm that price quality is a big issue. if you go for second hand and want a ecosystem with all perks and affordable , yes Thrustmaster is okay , will come with a list of buts.

@@rickflare6893 Having your FFB maxed out out in the game is the issue. That makes the wheel output at full torque for every single bump you run over, which A) is not how it's supposed to work and B) makes all detail disappear. You're not supposed to have all forces always at maximum, you're supposed to have a setting allowing small bumps and light turns to feel light, and huge G's to feel strong. With FFB at max everything is just too strong, doesn't make sense and stresses the motor for no reason. It's like boosting all bass to 400% on a music track and then wondering why the sound clips and crackles constantly. For info, with the T300 the recommended FFB strengh in GT7 to avoid going over what the wheel can output seems to be 4.

PSVR 2 - £530
Not counting extra remotes (£65), charger (£25) and games (like Gran Turismo 7 - £62).
Set the T128 up correctly and it is fantastic coming from controller for 120£ .
It's the Bavarian Moror Works emblem that makes that wheel great.
Love ur content and thank u for all the hard work
I don't think I'm reviewing the cs dd pro
@@randomcallsign ok no worries I just figured I would ask. I do appreciate u taking the time to reply back . Best wishes and love the content
How are you liking it so far? I was thinking about getting the same one.
@@DonCramon, yep still running strong with this setup, more than enough for my style and level of sim racing.
If you upgrade to the Logitech G Pro wheel you can map the clutch paddle to work as a brake
I love my DD Pro with boost kit and load cell and McLaren wheel. It was worth the extra money to me. I came from a T150. I was blown away by the difference between the two.
How long did it take you to actually get your setup from the date you ordered? I’m wondering because I’m starting to hear a lot of negative about Fanatec not shipping orders while people have spent over $1k with them
What's the differences. The power or feedback?
Do not buy the Turtle Beach Wheel for X-Box ! The Display does nor work with any X-Box Game, Non of them, You would think it would as dissplayed in their ad ! $700. bucks for half the functions !
Do I need to think about game compatibility? I’d like to be able to use a wheel with both older games like Driveclub and new ones like Trackmania.
@@CrustyMusty101 That's why i skipped it and went for the csl dd..will get delivered next week and i got some very good deals on black friday
Hi! I’m starting up racing on F1 23 on PS5. Looking for budget wheel. Will the Thrustmaster T80 work on PS5 or do I need to look at the T150 or the T128? Potentially looking at upgrading to the Logitech GW29?
Go with the t150 at minimum. The t80 has no force feedback. That makes a huge difference.
I bought mine on launch for Black Friday hasn’t failed me added the load cell pedal only 5 nm. I think it’s a good entry level.
I luv my fanatec podium for my playstation , I had it since it first came out and now the price is insane
Great video... i was already considering fanatec dd pro but watching this video just confirms my decision.
Are you still getting it or no? And why not?
Great video! Thank you very much. I use a Thruthmaster T300 GT on a PS5 and mainly play ACC, GT7 and EA WRC. I was thinking of switching to a Logitech G Pro. It's expensive but the feedback I've seen is that it gives a very good feel in ACC and GT7, even though it's pedals are not the best, nor does it have an ecosystem. The new CS DD+ from Fanatec scares me because of Fanatec's bad customer service in case there is a problem. You think it's really not worth it to trade the T300 GT for the Log. G Pro?
Stick with what you have until there's more clarity with logitech and fanatec
It's not that fanatec has bad customer service it's that their support department is located in Germany so if you're anywhere outside of Europe it's takes longer to get in touch with them and get service done luckily for me they have a US based service warehouse so I didn't have to pay for shipping when I had to get a replacement product
Also you probably will pay on top more for customs, here in uk
Logitech wheels are honestly only good for a used market value. Example. 929 is $400 cdn and shifter is 80$. I got both seperatky on FB for 250 total. I spent another 80$ on a stand thats on amazon for 180$. So i have the basics of everything but a dedicated seat. (Use my gaming chair) Once you spent that $400 on a wheel you might aswell spend that little bit for a DD wheel. Getting an entry DD for 500$ cdn + shipping ect is far superior for the $$ value
I have a t248 and I have issues with the toggle switches. The left side reacts on the wheel but doesn't always react in game.
What you recomend for 200 euro new or used ? I just like responsive wheals so i can play nead for speed unbound,i dont want the lag when stering 😊
Which one do you use? Like everyday use.
Would be awesome to own T300RS for my PS5. But i can not afford, from our high prices in Nunavut.
Should I get a wheel for PS4 or save up for a PC and get a wheel for that, I know PC has better racing sims but is it worth the extra money?
Which wheel would be good for Console PS5 for Assetto Corsa Competizione ? Will these wheels work as good on other racing games or are they the best for Gran Turismo only?
Im looking to upgrade and i wanted to know if there was any driving wheel with working analog sticks preferably the right analog stick for ps5 so i can change my camera angles without switching to my controller. Thats what i need to do with the t80 Thrustmaster. New to driving wheels since i was too poor as a kid.
Do you think we will get more brands on the market for playstation in the near future ?
Excellent video. Thank you
I think for me with a PS5 in Canada the Fanatec delivery is bad, price exchange and duty are off the charts, long waits in customs also.
I have the G923 set. Did the "TrueBrake" mod and it made a big difference.
What's that mod?
What’s that mod?
My T248 make a bad sound while turning the wheel in corners at max degree. Could be faulty?
I’m still eyeing the G923 but I just bought a T80 from Walmart because it was heavily discounted Lol
Jeez, I can buy a beater car for 500-1000$ lol What's the best for simple gaming? G29, T150 or G923?
uhhh Fanatec or logitech, as a owner of a gt-I I can affirm that price quality is a big issue. if you go for second hand and want a ecosystem with all perks and affordable , yes Thrustmaster is okay , will come with a list of buts.
I ordered a GT DD Pro on the 22nd Nov and it is due today
quick question so if i bring tgt2 and dd pro and both are at 5nm they both feel the same ??
no. tgt will feel slower and more grainy than the ddpro
Which dd1 or dd2 is ps5 compatible the dd1 f1 edition is ps5 conpatible???
What’s the best wheel for World of Outlaws on ps5? I need help there’s so many
Obrigado mais uma vez pelos teus videos! Bom ver um Tuga a ter sucesso!!
Now, until the DD+ is released in a Bundle, I want to make my comeback in GT7 with budget wheel.
I'm between the T300(used) and the Logitech G923/G29(both used). And is it worth the extra bucks for the G923 over the G29 for the TRUE FORCE?

What do you think about Moza R3? I think that it destoyes Logitech G923 and Thrustmaster T300/TX.

I went from T-GT2 to a G923 because I only play GT7, the updated force feedback in that game is so bad that I'm not able to feel most of the kerb in game without trueforce (no , you don't get that kerb feedback on T-GT2 with T-DFB and the official licenced fanatec gt dd pro, shocking)

It's dated. I'd rather spend more for the DDpro when Fanatec stock gets better.
I am going to buy the g29 wheel for my boyfriend for Christmas. Does anyone know what wheel stand is nice to use for this? Theres so many and so many mixed reviews.
I'd just get the G29 for now and shifter. Use the desk for now, and then he can get into the hobby and look into rigs.

Pxn 10 is good wheel. It's FFB wheel.
Can Logitech Gpro mix n match with fanatec pedals 🤔
Not on console
The Fanatec DD Gt7 wheel is junk, don’t get it, you WILL break it, if you can withstand the creaks and pops long enough of the garbage connector. Save yourself the headache and get something like the flat bottom BMW wheel, trust my personal experience here. Also I recommend leather over alcantara because most people won’t properly care for the alcantara. Also don’t waste time with 5nm, 8nm minimum, or the new 12nm.
Is the g29 still a good wheel to use in 2024/23
How to say you didn't watch the video without saying you didn't watch the video lol
Why the gloves tho 🤔😂
Anyone recommend the best racing game on ps5 for a wheel?

Best wheel for playstation 4 and 5 is the PSX V12 lite. Absolutely blows all these wheels out the water.
what games on ps4 are compatible with wheel
All the F1 games, Gran Turismo Sport, GT7, ACC, Wreckfest, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars 2, These are just from experience of playing them, I'm pretty sure a few others will also. (Edit) Nascar games like Heat 5 plus various rally games.
I waste 500 for Logitech G29 shifter and wheel stand. Regret it feels cheap quality my t80 has more quality. Don't waste your maney get t300
These wheels VR2 compatible?
The vr has nothing to do with the wheel and vise versa. The wheel acts as another controller

I went with the Fanatec DD Pro for maximum compatibility. The Playstation compatibility is in the wheelbase, then the Xbox compatibility is in the swappable wheel itself, so you can get something compatible with everything. Pricey tho.

The best way to Sim Race, is not on a Playstation. You know it, I know it. GT 7 is not worth the console or ps plus subscription when all this other brilliant software on PC exists. Its falling to obscurity quickly & quietly.

@@randomcallsign You done all day daily races gt7 max ffb and never noticed a drop in power on fast high g's ?
I've done endurance racing with it
@@rickflare6893 Having your FFB maxed out out in the game is the issue.
@@Totone56 Here’s the thing though, the wheel didn’t seem l that powerful . I don’t if I had it maxed completely. The thrustmaster gives no decent feedback at low power. I could never tell my tires where on the limitation low powe.
I have the fanatec on 8nm and I still find it to be weak when it comes to responding to bumps.
I think I need at nice 13 nm because they can simulate real g’s thanks to the higher slew rate.
