- Chair Yoga 28 Day Series - Some Seated, More Standing. In today’s practice, we’ll explore poses for our 28 day journey including standing Chair pose. You’ll only need a chair for today’s class.
Welcome to Bottoms Down Chair Yoga. I’m Carol and I’m happy you’ve chosen to spend this time together to stretch, lengthen and strengthen your body.
This 30 minute yoga practice is day 15 of our 28 day yoga journey together. Join us as we build our practice from the ground up. We warm up gently and center our work on our breath and mindful movements to build strength and improve focus.
You’ll only need a chair. We’ll start seated and move to a standing position and return to seated.

Day 15 successfully accomplished! As usual, great stretches for the joint stiffness (I don't want to call it mine!). I always used to think I was quite good with balancing poses, so it was great to have the opportunity to practice. It was a challenge - but I did it! Also, getting out of the chair for chair pose, with hands in prayer position. The muscles complained but did co-operate! Thank you Carol. Namaste xx

Carol, I thank you for offering your chair yoga classes. I had finished a 30 day Flow challenge and felt wonderful and strong then my body decided it wasn't happy so it needs some nurturing. As of lately I have been alternating my regular yoga practice with your chair yoga and it works out perfectly. I feel wonderful and grateful for this. Thank you!❤

I'm enjoying the transition more and more into standing - there's something lovely about taking up space with our bodies. I missed yday as I took a long walk here in Cornwall, UK and I'd used up all my energy by the time the evening came. It's good to be back today. See you tomorrow :)

I found a good “happy place” (alternating hand support) in balance work that didn’t hurt my arthritic feet. Thanks for your continued encouragement.

Carol, I love your class. I have fibromyalgia and it’s difficult for me to do any other type of exercise class. But this one is just the way I need it. Nice and slow and with options to add or not to add. Thank you and I will continue with your class.

Hubby and I just completed day 15. We were gone from home yesterday from early AM to late PM so we couldn't do our day 15 yesterday but we got it done today. I really need the balancing because I have suffered from bad balance for years and Verdugo. I'm really trying hard to get my balance in check. Thank you 😊💓see you tomorrow

Thank you so much for these classes. I always thought with my size and mobility constraints that I could never do yoga but 15 days in and I see so much improvement in my movement, chronic pain is reduced and my mood is much more relaxed. So glad I found you :)

I’m enjoying your 28day challenge. I’m 61 and
Have been retired for a couple of years now. I had all kinds of plans and ideas for when I retired,well besides painting and becoming a grandma and watching him 4 days a week which I love, I have become very stiff, and knew I had to do something. I had tried yoga years back and every time I tried it, I would get so nauseous EVERYTIME🤔.NOT WITH CHAIR YOGA🤗At first I wasn’t sure it was doing much,I’m on day 15 now, but on day 11, WOW my whole body,lets just say I could feel I was getting a total body work out!
THANK YOU SO MUCH I TRULY AM LOVING YOUR CLASS. And being a beginner I like how you explain. I have told others about you and how much I am enjoying your class, I get up every morning at 5:30 and start my day with you and I’m loving every minute of it, even look forward to it. A goal of mine is to touch my hands to the floor😉I’m getting there I can tell already, I’m feeling amazing THANKS TO YOU!

Good golly, I am over 6 feet tall. Will I ever be able to get up from a normal chair without using my hands again? I think I may hang out with day 15 for a few days to see if it helps to repeat.
