    Thank you!
These “Before I did this” videos are great! I hope you keep going them.
The shorts videos you post of different exercises to master different poses and gain strength are exactly what some of us need to build foundations. It’ll be great if you share some routines! no one is doing it! Keep on 🙌🏻

This was helpful! I'm trying to improve my forward fold flexibility so I can stack my hips over my shoulders for press handstand.

This video actually released trauma from my hips and I was in tears releasing deep emotions stored inside. Wasn't expecting that release, but thank you so much!

What I find difficult, and it doesn't matter the video on youtube, or different ways people do it, I have retained a library within me of all the different ways it can be done, but it still hurts and is absolutely painful at times beyond measure. Everything has to be modified. For me its a matter of making peace with movement and working through all the manifestations, that are unpleasant like shock, or grief, or force on my disabled parts that hurt, until I have peace, I already have understanding. For me I break it down one movement at a time and process it. I would like to see more modification videos on youtube. I also would like the overuse problem addressed as well, which means when there is too much folding in people's routines, not enough balance, I need the opposite. To even take a movement and just appreciate that movement, instead of a multitude of movements, going from one thing into another without time to process it. That is why I like your shorts, but it would be lovely if the shorts, could be like 5 minutes.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! This video is designed for those going deeper into forward folds not designed for beginners- I do have several slower paced videos designed to focus on alignment and hold the poses 🫶🏽

I believe all the movements here can be modified to easier versions by simply having less range of motion. And you should not be stretching to the point of pain. You should back off and save it to go a half inch more the next day.

    Amazing! 😲
I have never gone deeper into a forward fold in all the years ive been practicing yoga!
I had surgery on one of my hamstrings about 8 years ago and always resigned to the fact i would have less flexibility than past me.
Those stretches were so helpful and my flexibility improved instantly!
I also had a shooting pain up my side beforehand and it disappeared after those stretches.
So very grateful to have found this today.
    Thank you Cathy 🙏

@cathymadeoyoga Hi, I enjoyed this video. I have a question about my practice: Is it necessary to include counter poses afterwards, twists, inversions, and savasana, or can I end the practice with savasana alone?

I think some kind of cool down is good, but doesn't need to be long and over time make sure you vary what you're doing.
