This video is part of my RANKED series. It's a little different this time though, because this isn't a top ten. It's a ranking of all the title cards from the 28 films of Pixar Animation Studios! I previously made a video like this for Walt Disney Animation Studios, so this is like a companion video to that one.
Do you agree with my ranking? Leave a comment down below letting me know which Pixar title card is your favorite, and let me know which topic you'd like to see get ranked next!

Woody’s Nightmare from Toy Story 2 is the Scariest Pixar Scene even more than Toy Story 3’s Incinerator Scene at least for me!
I thought you were crazy when Lion King was only 3rd but after seeing the top 2, it does make sense. I've had friends use the phrase "Lady and Tramp" it when there's one item left and multiple people want it and I don't think they would be able to name any of the animals in that movie including Lady and Tramp 😂
My ranking: 1. Cinderella 2. Peter Pan 3. 101 Dalmatians 4. Lady and the Tramp 5. Sleeping Beauty 6. Sword in the Stone 7. The Jungle Book 8. Alice in Wonderland
Here’s my list! 10. The Rescuers Down Under 🦅: Aside from the JAW-DROPPING animation when Marahute and Cody fly through the Outback. I forgot about it for years until I rewatched it with my best friend. The plot itself is fine, it’s a great adventure story in its own merit. It’s just not a personal favorite of mine. 9. Hercules 🏺 Tonally speaking. Mixing Greek Mythology with Gospel was a choice. It gives more kid-friendly version of Rocky. It’s a fun watch but it’s not one I immediately go to for a rewatch. 8. Hunchback of Notre Dame 🔔 Flawless soundtrack! Gorgeous animation, as well as a really heartbreaking narrative that is pretty dang relatable by today’s standard. The gargoyles knock it down a few pegs because the lighthearted humor doesn’t really work with this type of story…. 7. Tarzan 🦍 I’ll always rewatch Tarzan if I have the craving to. I think the animation is incredible and the soundtrack is a lot of fun. I absolutely love Phil Collins and incorporating his music as the “narration” of the movie really makes it so unique. I’ve always considered Tarzan and Hunchback are some of the darkest Disney movies. 6. Mulan 🐉 The humor holds up really well decades later. I love that it pokes fun at the idea of gender roles, I love seeing Mulan work her way up the ladder to prove herself just as capable or even more so than the guys. It doesn’t beat you over the head with the overly feminist message. But it shows it in a way that makes sense for the character. 5. Aladdin 🪔 Robin Williams LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE is gold. The character growth that Aladdin goes through is incredible. I like that even though he is a “bad guy” in the eyes of the people, they show his good heart. I think I see more the flaws when I rewatch it but it’s a fun movie. 4. Beauty and the Beast 🥀 The quintessential Renaissance film. The movie is so decadent, the animation is so rich and colorful. The score by Alan Menken is one of my favorite film scores of all time, and I love that you can draw your own conclusions on Belle and Beast’s love story. You never know how long they actually got to know each other and I think it’s really clever in that regard…. 3. The Lion King 🦁 The first Disney film I ever watched. It’s the film of my birth year and I always rewatch it whenever I’m in the mood for it. It’s a cinematic epic. In every way. Animation! Score! Music! Story! It has everything you need for an epic story! Not only that, but its mature story is easy for kids to understand and connect with. It’s a masterpiece and a triumph of animation. 2. Pocahontas 🍂🍁 Historical inaccuracy, and problematic source material aside. Artistically, this movie is a masterpiece. The music by Steven Schwartz and Alan Menken is just phenomenal, tunes I STILL find myself singing. The stylization is so different from most of the Renaissance works but it gives the movie a stamp all its own. I love some of the artistic choices and I think culturally, it’s probably one of the movies that actually gets the princess’s culture accurate. 1. The Little Mermaid 🧜♀️ I owe a life debt to this movie because it got me into all of my passions in life. If it weren’t for The Little Mermaid’s release, I wouldn’t be the Disney fan I am today. Every little visual detail, every song, every note on the score is perfection! I think you summarized it better than I ever could. It’s an absolutely passionate film and its reigns supreme as my favorite film of all time PERIOD
Good ranking but Wall- E deserve to be higher ! The background is gorgeous !! ❤️🔥
1 lady and the tramp 2 peter pan 3 sleeping beauty 4 101 Dalmatians 5 Cinderella 6 jungle book 7 sword in the stone 8 alice never seen
My favs are 1.aristocats 2.Hercules 3.Atlantis
Ahhhh Robin Hood the movie that got me into archery
Dude, the ending of the Live action Jungle book is why I like that version BETTER than the original. So I must HARD disagree with your stance on the movie.
My ranking: 1. Treasure Planet🥇 2. Atlantis:The Lost Empire🥈 3. Meet the Robinsons🥉 4. Bolt 5. Chicken Little 6. Lilo and Stitch 7. Home on the range 8. Brother Bear 9. Fantasia 2000 10. The Emperor's New Groove 11. Dinosaur💩
The movies Disney 🐦🎹❤️🎭🌻🐱
Thank u productions 🐦❤️
My ranking: 1. Frozen 2 2. Moana 3. Tangled 4. Frozen 5. The princess and the frog 6. Wreck-it Ralph 7. Zootopia 8. Ralph breaks the internet 9. Raya and the last dragon 10. Encanto 11. Winnie the pooh 12. Big Hero 6
Disagree, Aladdin is definitely the worst. They are all bad starting from beauty and the beast but Aladdin was the absolute worst, like outside of the genie character they actively tried to take as much life or energy out of the story as possible, with great success. Also Mulan had to be the second worst, almost as bad but in different ways. Lion King was low, but those two are much lower.
And now with the buy out of Fox, Anastasia should join the ranks of Disney Princesses.
I type just before the final presentation lines are spoken.
0:20 thought someone actually texted me for once ://
Why would you want someone to text you?
My ranking: 1. Mulan 2. The Hunchback of Notre Dame 3. Tarzan 4. Hercules 5. The Little Mermaid 6. Aladdin 7. Beauty and the Beast 8. Pocahontas 9. The Lion King 10. The Rescuers Down Under!
Hey, The Jungle Book is good
Agree with everything you've said, Cinderella is absolutely well made and the best. BUT I have to disagree on your take with Aladdin. I keep rewatching and enjoying it, plus they did change a few details and plotlines which work for live action. Other than that great video and content.
4, 5, and 6 are my top 3 I think (not sure the order between them), and "A Bug's Life" would definitely be higher for me. Was really neat just to see them all played out like that, you could really just see the differences and "let them speak for themselves" as you said.
That wedding dress worn by Cinderella is a dream!! 🤤🪄❤
The Jungle Book 2016 and Mowgil 2018 And the The Mighty Joe Young Remake : Are We A Joke to you????????
I know that speak now tv hadn’t come out when this was posted but I think that castles crumbling perfectly fits elsa
I honestly think EVERY LIVE-ACTION MADE BY DISNEY IS GOOD,(except for Snow White - because of the actress)
Yes, but her walking is just her being theatrical. 😂 It's part of the theater actors' role to make their body language to be seen clearly for the audience. And by the way of her walking, Snow White seems wondrous and happy.😊
How is Coco that low!! Nope. Justice for the papel picado
Brave below Soul and Elemental?? That's wild to me considering how pretty the celtic simulated metalwork is in Brave 🥲
It is nice, I just prefer the colors on the other ones.
Aristocats at 58??? 😦😢😡 I know you said it was your personal opinion, however we can never be friends after this, I’m sorry. Dishonor! Dishonor on you! Dishonor on your cow!
I'm surprised Cars 2 was so low with how dynamic the title card was! Even though the movie isn't great haha
It is cool, it just felt a little drawn out for me or something 🤣
I never realized that Incredibles and Incredibles 2 are so similar in their title card. Makes sense that they would hardly change it because it is iconic! But they are not my top one; they are in second and third respectfully! My favorite would have to be Cars! The zooming of the different colored cars is just so nostalgic!
If you haven’t ranked the Blue Sky movies yet you should make that video
in the wise words of dwight shrute "Nostalgia is truly one of the great human weaknesses. Second only to the neck." 😂
I’m glad Disney has bought the rights to Anastasia now and 20th century fox.😄
Best quotes of all time: "I'm Old I'm Like the Crypt Keeper" from Freaky Friday, "I'm Just Teaching Mum Some New Dance Moves" from Freaky Friday, "Let's Do This Thingy" from Freaky Friday, "Insane Psycho Freak" from Freaky Friday... Are we seeing a pattern here?
Times Disney and Pixar movies had plot-irrelevant villains or generic doomsday villains or villains that don't really interfere with the plot: Disney Animated Canon: Lady and the Tramp: Aside from Aunt Sarah and the Dogcatchers and Rat and Si and Am’s minor roles as antagonists and villains in the movie, all its plot just focuses on Lady and Tramp’s romantic relationship. Bambi: Aside from the human hunter’s small role as villain, all its plot just comes from Bambi’s coming of age story. Dumbo: The circus master serves as an unintentional villain for caging up Dumbo’s mother but other than that all the film’s conflict just comes from Dumbo trying to prove himself to the circus with Timothy’s help to reunite with his mother. Fantasia and Fantasia 2000: The films are just musicals with no known villains. The Sword in the Stone: Aside from Madam Mim’s small role as the villain or role as one in the film’s third act, all the movie’s conflict just comes from Arthur learning to become next in line king of Camelot with Merlin’s mentorship. The Jungle Book: Aside from Shere Khan’s role as the villain and main antagonist not appearing until the film’s second half and Kaa’s role as secondary antagonist and villain all the movie’s conflict just comes from Mowgli trying to be convinced by Baloo and Bagheera to live with his own kind humans in the Man-Village due to Shere Khan’s threat despite Mowgli’s initial reluctance as an internal conflict to go there fearing that he won’t find in with living with the humans in the village due to being a feral boy and desire to stay in the jungle with his wolf family and Baloo and Bagheera believing he has what it takes to protect himself from Shere Khan despite his young age. Cinderella: The stepmother to Cinderella and stepsisters serves as unintentional antagonists, no true villain or outside threat exists in the story. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Winnie the Pooh: Aside from Rabbit’s role as an anti-hero and redeemed antagonist in the story and the Backson and Heffalumps and Woozles appearing as the plot-irrelevant villains, all the story’s conflict just comes from other factors not caused by villains. Alice in WonderLand: Despite being the main antagonist and villain of the story, the Queen of Hearts doesn't appear until the third act of the film and is a plot-irrelevant villain. The Fox and the Hound: Aside from Amos Shale and Chief’s roles as antagonists despite only doing so out of their jobs as being a hunter and hunting dog and Copper becoming an antagonist too after Tod accidentally causes Chief’s death before Tod sets him right at the end and the bear’s role as antagonist in the climax, all the film’s conflict just comes from Tod and Copper struggling to keep their friendship maintained despite outside factors including Amos, Big Mama and Chief themselves goading them to become enemies like nature intended. Beauty and the Beast: Aside from Gaston appearing as the plot-irrelevant villain of the movie, all the film’s conflict just comes from Beast and Belle’s relationship which starts off as toxic at first but evolves into a friendship and later romance as the film progresses and the Beast’s redemption arcs thanks to his love and romance for Belle, Love Redeems and Beast trying to get Belle to fall in love with him and earn her love in return to break the enchantress's magic spell that will turn Beast back into a human, Prince Adam and the castle servants all turned into household objects back into humans too, before the enchanted rose finishes wilting.
Historical inaccuracy not unlike both Disney's Pocahontas and Balto
I report your TH-cam channel hater
We hope there will be Walt Disney's other new far future (3D) animations we predict. For example, Since the 2060s • Tezuka's Mighty Atom (= Astro Boy) -> Iron Arm (Adam) / Cosmic Adam Since 22nd Century • Toei(Torayama)'s Dragon Ball -> Sam Khan / Sono Kong • Zagtoon's Miraculous -> Miraculous • Kingdom Hearts
I do feel like the little mermaid ended up breaking the curse though
I would love it if there was a series of movies that went by the book. What is in the book, is in the movie. Some of the Disney movies would be rated "R" or even Hunchback of Notre Dahm may be NC-17. So many of Disney's movies have been watered down and endings change to be a happy ending. In The Little Mermaid, Ariel disolves into seafoam in the end.
We hope there will be Walt Disney's other new (3D) animated movies with sequels in the (very) far future. Since the 2060s Mighty Adam / Iron Arm (Adam) I•II•III•IV•V•... Based on Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy (Mighty Atom) *This Tezuka's copyright will end in 2059 or 2060.
❗TRASH VIDEO ALERT❗ The little mermaid is overrated, ariels a BITCH
My favroute Live Action remakes are: -Peter pan (2003) -Christopher Robin -Jungle book (2016) -Cruella -Cinderella -Alice in Wonderland
I don’t have anyone else who cares about this information so I’m bringing it here. I finally watched the adventures of ichabod and Mr. Toad. Mr. Toad was such a cute, relatable story with cute woodland creatures and wonderful narration. What the hell was Ichabods story?? What was that ending? Excuse me
My ranking: 1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 2. Dumbo 3. Bambi 4. Fantasia 5. Pinocchio
My ranking: 1. The Great Mouse Detective 2. Robin Hood 3. The Aristocats 4. Oliver and Company 5. The Rescuers 6. The Fox and the Hound 7. The many adventures of Winnie the pooh 8. The Black Cauldron
I really love this video, despite I’m not really a Swifty lol. I think Enchanted would’ve fit Pocahontas too, mainly because realistically Pocahontas and John Smith are complete opposites in so many ways, specifically their backgrounds and their beliefs, but none of that mattered when they first saw each other at the falls. I also think the night time reference is kinda fitting considering part of Colors of the Wind includes a constellation and later on their love song If I Never Knew You takes place at night. You could even include “please don’t be in love with someone else” as a nod of Pocahontas being expected to marry someone she doesn’t love, and unfortunately Kocuom is deeply hurt seeing her love another man. I know you’ve made your opinions about them as a couple before, but personally I think them being a forbidden romance just makes them a lot better than certain couples much more popular than them. As you said, they knew from the start their love would never be allowed and both their peoples wouldn’t understand, but that didn’t prevent them from falling in love as they got to know each other better and they learned valuable lessons from the other. But anyway, I find your choices nice (also we don’t talk about Pocahontas 2 lol) what would your choices be for Esmerelda, Meg and Jane?
Bro, Lilo & Stitch on 5th place. Thats insulting. Its definitely one of the best post-renaissance movies. And its the most successful one. The story is heartfelt, the relationship dynamic between lilo and nani is realistic, the humor is funny, the characters are 3 dimensional complex beings, the animation of gorgeous hawaii island is beautiful and the score is like 10/10 chef's kiss. How is it fifth place, thats impossible!
Anything early Disney don bluth themed or anything around 90s to early 2000s is peak animation of my type of character design. There are also some non Disney favourites I have as well.
Beauty and the beast was a way better remake bro Cinderella was so trash.
