Lady Tremain brings terror into my veins because she could be anybody in our lives. She's perfectly nice and hospitable to guests, and she's just some sweet lady at the ball, but behind closed doors a complete monster. That could be anybody that we know, which is why she's so scary.
Imagine the non-train railway counterparts to the troublesome trucks from Thomas and Friends, the troublesome living foods who serve as supporting antagonists but not villains (Referencing Bake Sale graphic novel) a race of living a anthropomorphic foods living alongside the animals and living elements and vehicles in the Zootopia, Cars, Elemental, Sing, Surf’s Up and Kung Fu Panda and Rock Dog franchise who played chaotic, mischievous tricks and pranks on all the heroes/protagonists, villains/antagonists and animals and characters from those franchises (Except Doc Hudson, Shifu, Jimmy Crystal, Nana Goodleman and (sometimes) The King/Strip Weathers.) while working alongside them in their various jobs and duties that always end with messes being created, themselves being destroyed or eaten and the heroes and protagonists being injured and hospitalized and the living foods sometimes collaborate with the villains to achieve their evil plans and motivations but other times the animals and living foods are friends and on the same side to defeat these villains or in a permanent truce.
Ah, the inevitable video... I personally agree with you on Maleficent, Hades, Gothel, Frollo, Ursula, and especially Scar (I love Lion King too much). On my personal list, I would add Sher Khan and Kaa (they both go together bc they're both great), Yzma, Jafar and King Candy. Also while I don't really consider it as a villain, I love the implemantation of Man in Bambi. It's such an unique antagonkst for a Disney movie that adds a certain level of tension and realism to the movie, and I think it's underrated
I like the villains you mentioned for your own list! Thanks for sharing. I actually did consider putting "Man" from Bambi on my ranking because like you said, it's so unique and creates amazing tension. But unfortunately the thing that makes the villain so unique (you never see Man) is also what made me end up cutting it. Definitely deserves a shoutout though.
I like that perspective on Bambi and I was just thinking similarly about Mulan. Yeah, there was Shan Yu, but she was also battling her dad, the matchmaker, basically society. Everyone was an enemy to her in some way because she didn't "fit in" with their expectations.
@@thetroveyoutubeI have too disagree with you on evil queen she would have been greatest villain if only she had great climax like maleficent i was very letdown by snow white and the seven dwarfs evil queen didtn have a great climax its not perfect i Maye have been the first disney aminated movie but walt failed too make evil queen badass like maleficent was
I think that Gothel is the best Disney villain. Shes the most realistic one. The manipulation, the gaslighting, her famous line "now I'm the bad guy." It was perfect writing. Also a great way to teach people the kind of person you should avoid. Her voice is very lovely too. Now Disney only does twist villains and misunderstood people. Sad. You can actually create something so much more interesting with bid bad guys and teach us something about the human condition like they did with Gothel.
I just found you today and I have to tell you, your voice is soothing, your research is amazing, your lists are so good and the video is soooo entertaining...I could go on and on but I'll stop here and just say you got yourself a subscriber!!! Keep it up!
I love lion king and scar. In fact it's my favourite disney movie of all time. However, I believe that Frollo is more realistic and villain than Scar. He can be in our lives and there are people like him.
37. Edgar (The Aristocats) 36. The Big Bad Wolf (The Three Little Pigs) 35. Bowler Hat Guy (Meet the Robinsons) 34. Si & Am (Lady and the Tramp) 33. Madam Mim (The Sword in the Stone) 32. Captain Gantu (Lilo & Stitch) 31. Percival McLeach (The Rescuers Down Under) 30. Madame Medusa (The Rescuers) 29. Prince John (Robin Hood) 28. Stromboli (Pinocchio) 27. @@hannahbrennan2131 Yeah I definitely agree. I'd heard such negative things about it and when I finally watched it, it was nowhere near as bad as people said it was. I'm not in love with the movie, but I still think it has a lot of good qualities and is worth watching. I think the way it tanked at the box office really affects people's opinion on it unfortunately instead of judging the movie for what it is.
@@thetroveyoutube yeah and this movie deserves to be a remake because I have 3 choices for the Horned king 1, Willem Defoe 2,Andy Serkis 3,Christian Bale
Great list! Really happy seeing Horned King get recognition and that Scar is #1! No one will ever beat Scar for me (most likely). My favorite Disney villain and favorite character in general, honestly. Here’s my top 20: 1. Scar 2. Maleficent 3. Judge Claude Frollo 4. Jafar 5. Ursula 6. Hades 7. Gaston 8. The Evil Queen/Queen Grimhilde 9. Captain Hook 10. Cruella De Vil 11. Lady Tremaine 12. Shere Khan 13. Chernabog 14. Mother Gothel 15. Yzma 16. Professor Ratigan 17. The Horned King 18. Doctor Facilier 19. The Queen of Hearts 20. Shan-Yu
Hey I got a shoutout in your video lol thanks for making my wish become reality. Also here is another video idea your top 10 Pixar tearjerker moments. Also your ranking was so good I agree with most of it.
One of the best top 10. I agree with all your choices. Of course, these characters can also be in this list: Jafar (Aladdin) Gaston (Beauty and the Beast) Professor Ratigan (The Great Mouse Detective) Yzma (The Emperor's New Groove) Dr. Facilier (The Princess and the Frog) Governor Ratcliffe (Pocahontas) Shan Yu (Mulan) Captain Hook (Peter Pan)
An admirable list. I would add Zira on the list as well from the second Lion King movie. She is at times just more menacing than Scar, but I get why she isn't listed here. My top 3 are: Hades Maleficent Scar
Lady Termaine and the Evil Queen are still so scary for me. The Evil Queen used to give me nightmares when I was a kid. As a grown up now I see how scary and dangerous Lady Termaine truly is.
I know how you feel when you mentioned James Woods, I feel the same about Mark Hamill, he always has done a fantastic job voicing the Joker, but I don't care for him as a person, so I can relate to what you're saying
Something that the vast majority of the Cinderella remix really don’t seem to be able to grasp, is the abusers like a lady Tremaine don’t need a tragic backstory, they don’t need an explanation to why they behave the way they do, they don’t need a morally gray area. They abuse you because they can. They abuse you because they have the power and you don’t. They abuse you because there isn’t anything that you can do to stop it. And trying to give that sort of person a ‘Tragic Backstory’ diminishes the impact and the damage that these people cause to those that survive them.
Even though you're not going to watch the live action remake of the Little Mermaid, I would love an in-depth video explaining all the reasons why the 1989 movie is your favorite Disney one (it is mine too, so I'm curious!) Awesome work on your videos!
Madame Medusa is my top Disney villain! Rescuers was my favourite growing up, and she was the main reason for that. Now that I'm an adult, I can appreciate just how straight up dark and cruel the woman is. Her motivation is simple: she wants a giant diamond. It's her willingness to kidnap, emotionally bully, and ruthlessly use an innocent child to achieve her goal that is super chilling. Together with Frollo, to me she's the most "realistic" villain, because unfortunately there are people just like them walking around.
This is such a hard list. They are all so good at being evil. 10. A tie between Ratigan and Shere Khan- Both very underrated villains. Everything about the great mouse detective is great and the includes Ratigan. He is so threatening to the toymaker and makes the movie have genuine stakes. He's part of what makes the great mouse detective the most underrated Disney movie in my opinion. Shere Khan has such a great and threatening voice. While King Louie and Kaa are amazing, Shere Khan deserves to be the main villain of the movie. 9. Jafar- Every renaissance villain aside from Ratcliffe and Clayton are amazing in my opinion and that includes Jafar. His sarcasm is the best part. My favorite moment is the scene where he is extatic about Prince Ali. Pretty much a perfect villain. 8. Mother Gothel- My favorite villain from a cgi movie. The fact that she convinced Rapunzel that she loved her is messed up. I agree with you that Donna Murphy did an amazing job as did all the voice actors on this list. 7. Dr Facilier- The best part about Princess and the Frog are the charecters especially the heroine and the villain. Friends on the other side is amazing and the animation is so creepy. He is definitely my favorite villain from recent years. 6. Captain Hook- He is the most hilarious of the Disney villains. It's so hard not to laugh whenever the crocodile is on screen. He is also the first villain that Disney had fun with. Before him there were some great villains like the evil queen and Lady Tremaine but they were just all so hateable, especially the coachman. Where's Captain Hook is hard to feel threatened by. An amazing villain nonetheless. 5. Hades- Another villain who is here because he is hilarious. His attempts to stay calm are the funniest part. My favorite moment with him is when he reminds Meg of the itsy bitsy detail that he owns her. He can also be quite threatening but his comedy is definitely my favorite part. 4. Cruella De Ville- She is so iconic. The amount of movies they have made about her shows how great a villain she is. The fact that she would kill all those puppies for a coat is just messed up. 3. Scar- The top three are pretty much tied. Scar is such a great villain. Like Jafar, his sarcasm is great. Be Prepared is one of the best Disney songs ever. It's part of what makes him so iconic. 2. Maleficent- To me the top three are tied but I put Maleficent at number two because she is usually the leader of the Disney villains and for a reason. The fact that she is so calm makes when she gets angry so much more evil. She is a standout if one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. 1. Ursula- Even though the top three are tied I put Ursula at the top because she is the ultimate Disney villain. I can't sit here pondering this list all day. Ursula is so good at being evil and manipulating the deals. But yet she is so much fun to watch. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the little mermaid but I don't know if I'd love it as much if it had a weak villain. As it is it's one of my favorite Disney movies. This is the hardest list I have ever had to do. Honerable mentions got to THE COACHMAN- I just wanted to mention him because he is the definition of pure evil. He is not a favorite but one of the most evil. THE EVIL QUEEN- The first Disney villain. We all know how great a villain she is. LADY TREMAINE- The look on her face at the end gets her a mention on its own. But she is just a really great threat and creates one of my favorite Disney climaxes of all time. SHAN YU- Underrated villain. Just like the coachman not a favorite but ridiculously evil CLAUDE FROLLO- My favorite Disney movie along with Pinocchio has the most evil Disney villain along with the coachman. I felt like he needed a mention. THE HORNED KING- In my opinion an underrated villain in an underrated film. Glad to see he's on your list. WINKY- Just wanted to mention him because I love The Wind in the Willows and he is a great villain. GASTON- Last honerable, I promise, such a great villain especially through his two songs. Disney are just so good at making villains.
I love your list, thank you so much for sharing it! I agree that it's so hard to make a villain ranking when there are countless amazing options. I like that you mentioned The Coachman! In terms of pure evilness he'd definitely rank top 10. That donkey business is so creepy, it makes me shudder.
@@thetroveyoutube Definite agree. And he doesn't even get punished but I think that would have ruined the pacing of the movie. Not sure what they're going to do in the live action though.
@@paulhuggard3162 Yeah it's so eerie that as far as we know, he's continuing to turn boys into donkeys. while i'm quite hesitant about the live action pinocchio, i'm interested to see if they'll change anything about that.
Soo, here’s my list: 10) Gaston. Yes, I’m including this idiot. He’s scary, he’s a narcissistic idiot that can rally people up 9) Facilier, he’s song is great, he’s fun, and, oh my gods, what a way to go 8) Jafar 7) Scar 6) Claude Frollo (I hate his guts, but I think the Broadway version is so much better. Broadway version is number one) 5) Lady Tremaine 4) Mother Gothel (that gaslighting) 3) Ursula 2) Hades :) 1) Maleficent Note: I haven’t watched everything and songs influence me a lot, so
I don't think I've ever established a top 10 list myself, only top 3, but off the top of my head: 10. Captain Hook--Gotta love semantics and word play! 9. Maleficent--While admittedly a bit enigmstic with petty goals, she's a powerful presence. 8. Ursula--I always loved the dealmaker trope, especially since she was honest with how the deal works. 7. Yokai--Cool looks and powers plus a sad backstory (both in the movie and the manga adaptation); I just wish we got more of him. 6. Govenor Ratcliffe--While all the coloniets had racist moments (except Wiggums), he is the worst, being aware that what he's doing could be interpretated ss offensive, but doesn't care because he wants the glory and dtatus that comes with success. 5. Hades--While FAR off from the source material, he's interesting, intelligent, and relateable. 4. Lady Tremaine--Passive aggressive family members are a pain in real life, but in stories like this? Phenomenal. 3. Claude Frollo--No explanation needed. 2. Jafar--I just love how scary he is and how Iago brings out his humorous side (and how power brings out his insecure/unhinged side). 1. Yzma--She perfectly illustrates humor and intimidation. I think she would've been even better in "Kingdom of the Sun." NGL, if Bruno had been an actual villain, I'm sure he would've made the list somewhere.
Frollo, Scar, Ursula and Maleficent are my top 4. Not quite sure what order though. I think Frollo edges it as best villain for me while I find Scar to be the most fun and therefore my personal favourite. Jafar would also have made my list but otherwise I think my choices would be very similar.
I'm not sure about my ranking, but my favourite Disney villains are Maleficient, Ursula, Lady Tremaine, Queen Grimhilde or the evil queen and Frollo. And although it technically isn't a villain, I love Monstro the whale as an antagonist, which is more of a violent force of nature than an evil one.
"But Scar is the only one to kill his own flesh and blood." I mean.. as far as we know xD Maleficent probably ate her siblings as a child or something. That woman was the only character in all media to ever actually scare me, I think it's due to watching her as an infant that I was able to watch horror movies like the Exorcist at 7 years old with no problem. Like yeah you can spin your head but can you curse babies and turn into a goddamn dragon?? Philip is a legit GOAT to be able to defeat her even with the three fairies' help. He's just a dude with a magic-imbued sword against a dragon with all the powers of hell.
My top 10: 10. Hades 9. Ursula 8. The evil queen (snow white) 7. The owner (?) Of the Pleasure Island (Pinocchio) 6. Cruella De Villa 5. Maleficient 4. Mother Gothel 3. Lady Tremain 2. Scar 1. Frollo
This is a fun idea! The only problem is that I haven't seen most of them in years and don't necessarily want to rewatch them all haha. I might be able to rank them into tiers rather than do a proper numbered ranking though. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@thetroveyoutube I was sort of being facetious, but during Night on Bald Mountain, amongst the spirits that fly up towards Chernabog is one that looks like a skeletal warrior on a horse with a horned helmet and flourishing a sword. This stock footage from Fantasia was actually reused in The Black Cauldron to portray the Horned King during Hen Wen's first oracular vision, so technically, that's the Horned King!
Cruella Deville: Yes. Nothing says "epically hated person" more than a baby animal murderer. Horned King: Only saw this movie once. Can't comment. Frollo: Yeah, this guy should've read the part in the Bible where God says, "Don't do my job! Don't claim that you know my will because you don't. Nobody does." Implying that playing God is the ultimate sin. Like I kinda said earlier, often it's the ones that try excessively hard to look good in the eyes of God that cause the most villanous damage to society. Lady Tremaine: She got what she deserved in the third installment post-credits scene. Surprised you haven't done a sequel list considering "CInderella III: A Twist in Time" is considered one of the best animated sequels ever made. That aside, I agree. The fact that Tremaine is just an ordinary cranky old hag just adds to her villainous persona. Mother Gothel: I've heard people call her a female Frollo, but while there are many similarities. Frollo, as you said, does what he does to look good in the eyes of God. Gothel does what she does to look good in the mirror. Hades: I've already explained the actual personality of Hades in real Greek Mythology on the Renaissance Era of your page, so I'll just say this: Whoever it was who decided that a used car salesman should be ruler of the dead....is a pure genius. If only the animators got creative with the main source of food in the Underworld in Greek Mythology, a pomegranate tree, and cleverly replaced it with a lemon tree! I agree he is the perfect balance of playfully dark humor and sadism. Ursula: Yes! Ugly, creepy, and scary yet sadistically charming. Vindictive and manipulative. Desire to rule and enslave. Clever backup plan just in case Ariel starts to succeed in getting Eric to love her. Ursula is indeed pure evil. RIP Pat Carroll. We all will miss you. Evil Queen: Even though it's never revealed in the movie, Disney insists her name is Queen Grimhilde. As for her character, there's a lot of characteristics that are....how should I put this....similarities that become differences between her and Mother Gothel. Both wanna look good in the mirror, but one needs a magic mirror to make this happen and the other needs magical hair. Both have young daughters that aren't their blood that they're jealous of, but one needs to kill hers and the other needs her alive. Both turn into ugly old hags before the end, but one has the ability to turn back while the other decays to dust. Both fall to their deaths, but one dies hitting the ground and being crushed by a boulder while the other dies aging to dust before impacting the ground. Correction: She's the OG Disney movie villain, but the OG Disney villain is Pete. He was created nearly two years before Oswald the Lucky Rabbit believe it or not. Maleficent: Only saw this movie once, but the villain is intriguingly malicious. She threatens to kill a BABY! Need anything more be said?! Scar: What does one expect of a villain inspired by Shakespeare with a music number that references Adolf Hitler and Nazism? A low ranking? He kills his brother, manipulates his nephew into thinking it was all his fault, almost kills his nephew, in a deleted scene tries to take a woman a third his age (if not younger) as his primary mate, and even turns on those that helped him get into power!
Thanks so much for this comment, you have a lot of interesting thoughts and facts that I love reading! I like what you had to say about Frollo and Gothel. They do share the similarity that they keep a child who isn't theirs locked away in a tower, but their reasonings for doing so are quite different. I like your comments on Hades as well. As for The Evil Queen - I do actually refer to her as Grimhilde a lot in my personal life haha. I'm not sure Disney ever made that name official though, so I refrain from calling her that in videos. And you're right that Pete is the true OG Disney villain! For the Queen I just meant in terms of Disney movies she's the OG. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
This was so hard, a top 25 would have been easier. 10. Cruella (Just too iconic not to be on a top 10.) My favorite moment: Any time she's raving. 09. Jafar (Made a lot of stupid decisions, but still...) My favorite moment: Dressing down (literally!) Aladdin. 08. Gaston (something about the non magical villains is so intriguing. Except for Hans. Hans bores me. And Belleweather. Bleh.) His theme song in the tavern. Such a good song even though the whole thing is despicable. Shame the live action sucked the life out of it and dropped the best line. 07. Gothel (I've seen people say that Gothel is underwhelming, but I find her by far the best Disney villain of the Revival Era and a great villain overall. I also agree with your take that she probably did care about Rapunzel. Toxic people can love the ones they are abusing, which makes it that much more tragic.) My favorite moment: When she goes mask off with rapunzel after having Flynn taken out by the Stabbingtons. 06. Hades (Hades is such a fun villain and his design totally stands out!) My favorite moment: Pretty much all of them, he's fun in every scene...but his interaction with the Fates cracks me up. 05. Frollo (He just gives me chills. The contrast between him and the Archdeacon...in the novel they were one character and split for the film...is great, and the fact that Frollo overpowers him in a few key scenes makes sense seeing as how Frollo, who wasn't wholly evil at first in the novel, let his dark side take control in the end. He is a scary reminder of hatred and pride can be a deadly combination.) My favorite moment: Probably the windmill scene. If I hadn't already hated him, that would have done it. 04. Ursula (Flamboyant, campy, a lot of fun and also extremely evil and unable to be redeemed. But that's why she's such a good villain. And don't forget about BODY LANGUAGE!) Her villain song, how could it not be? 03. Evil Queen (She says so much in her few lines and she sets the tone of the film. Outside of the dwarf cottage, the world of this movie feels so lonely and barren, an almost hopeless feeling hovers over it and I believe that's partly because the tone the queen sets. She herself is lonely and cold and quite probably insane because of her solitude. I believe that as vain as she is and as much attention she pays to appearance, that she is filled with self loathing. It's not her hatred of Snow White that drives her so much as the fact that she will never be happy.) My favorite scene: The Queen and the Hag both deserve favorite moments. But I'll combine them and say the transformation. 02. Maleficent (She basically ties with Tremaine for first place for me. The voice, the imposing presence and her pure evil are just perfect for the story. She didn't need redeemed. Redeeming her was honestly a stupid fanfic level idea...and I say this as somoen who mostly enjoys the Maleficent film.) My favorite moment: Her arrival at the party. 01. Lady Tremaine (I agree with everything you said and she almost didn't get top spot, but when I think about how I feel watching these films, Lady Tremaine has left one of the biggest impressions on me. Needlessly cruel, even to her own undoing...she never tries to kill Cinderella, at least not until the sequel...but the oppressive way she bears down on her is so real and so frightening. A stronger princess might have whalloped her and left on an adventure and a weaker princess might have crumbled to dust under her, but she was perfectly matched for Cinderella. My favorite moment: The bedroom scene.
Ursula scared the poo out me as a kid... I'm calling it now she gets an origin if that isn't already in the works After the success of nightmare and coraline yall need to put some respekt on the cauldron it was ahead of it's time
so i think the only thing about your list that would differ from mine is i'd trade Frolo and the evil Queen's position. only because as self serving as the queen's actions are do we know if she's got countless lives on her hands? yes her goal was to kill the princess but she eventually ended up poising her into a death like sleep not actual death. Frolo was about to literally drown a baby after he slayed its mother, he then more than once, by his own hand, attempts to actually execute Esmeralda and Quasi in the name of God, after a life time of gaslighting Quasi about his own worth. the evil Queen is evil and nuts and cinderella's her stepdaughter too, but he's a literal mad man also with tangible power that he in fact does exercise over his people(we don't know if she's terrible to her subjects). we really only see the queens malice towards Snow, and even that's personal. Frolo is EVIL power with a major god complex! and like you said in the video he's using God to justify his atrocities! yes she's evil yes she wants to kill(put in a coma) her stepdaughter, but its all just about Snow. He's literally making no secret that his goal, in no uncertain terms, is Genocide, that only exacerbates when his lecherous disgusting conditions placed before Esmerelda are refused! and he gets pretty damn close to achieving that goal! Radcliff is also someone driven to attempt Genocide but he doesn't get nearly as mad nor does he attempt more than once, in cold blood, to kill his own ward! Frolo's Sick, twisted, Rape-y, and spectacular at convincing himself that his actions are not the problem but the solution. i don't think the Queen is under any impression she's in the right in her situation! she's bad he's a MONSTER! when she died Snow benefited, when he died ALL of Paris benefited, ALL! I honestly think even to this day he might even be just a tad worse than Scar but that's honestly a toss up.
i actually despise ursula and mother gothel, but i have to agree they do make my favorite movies great. i wonder if they're my least favorites because they're so awful to my favorites haha :( lotso is my favorite villain even tho he's pixar. it's just so hard to see him as evil when he's a little pink teddy bear 🥺 besides lotso, i LOVE the headless horseman and gaston!! they can do no wrong in my eyes. i'm curious if they were cut from your honorable mentions!
I can understand hating the villains who come after your favorite characters. Ariel is my favorite character, but oddly enough, I still love Ursula haha. I'll have to make a Pixar villains ranking. Lotso would definitely be on there! And yes, I did consider Gaston and the Headless Horseman for honorable mentions. I love the Headless Horseman - the only problem is he's only present for a couple minutes lol
Times Disney and Pixar movies don’t need villains or antagonists: Bambi (1942): No antagonists or villains aside from the human hunters exist in this movie, same for the 2006 direct to video midquel all its conflict and story due to being light-hearted just comes from the coming of age story focusing on how Bambi, Thumper and Flower go from childhood to adulthood and Bambi succeeding his father as the new Prince of the Forest. Dumbo (1941): No antagonists or villains exist in this movie aside from the circus master and staff and Dumbo’s mom’s sisters’ brief antagonism, all its conflict just focuses on Dumbo trying to free his mom from custody. Fantasia duology: They are just musicals with no direct villains or antagonists. Finding Nemo (2003) and Finding Dory (2016): These movies have no direct villains or antagonists, all its conflict just comes from for the first movie Dory and Marlin trying to rescue Nemo and Marlin through character development learning to allow Nemo to be independent and overcome his overprotectiveness towards him and fear of losing him like he lost Coral and his unborn children to the barracuda and for the second movie Dory overcoming her short-term memory loss to find and save her parents. Marine Life Interviews has no antagonists either. Inside Out (2015): No antagonists or villains exist in the movie, aside from Juggles the Clown and mind workers and Anger (Unintentionally)’s brief antagonism, and Gloom appearing as its scrapped main antagonist, all its conflict just comes from Joy and Sadness with Bing Bong’s help trying to get back to Headquarters to save Riley and Joy through character development learning to get over the selfish and control freak side of her personality and agree to make peace with Riley being outside her comfort zone and make peace with her feeling other emotions aside from happiness like sadness, anger and depression and fear every once in a while and understand the true purpose of sadness. The new emotions for Inside Out 2 (2024) including Anxiety will either appear as neutral characters or even new villains themselves. Lady and the Tramp (1955): Aside from Aunt Sarah and the Siamese cats’s and dog catcher’s brief antagonism towards Lady and Tramp, all its conflict just comes from Lady and Tramp’s romantic relationship. Monsters’ University (2013), though its predecessor, Monsters Inc. has villains Waternoose and Randall, and this movie as Roar Omega Roar and the human park rangers and Hardscrabble herself as its villains, this movie’s conflict mostly just comes from Mike and Sulley’s relationship which starts off as toxic but becomes a friendship as the story progresses. Outside of Roar Omega Roar, Monsters at Work also has no villains or antagonists. Mike’s New Car and Party Central have no antagonists either. Beauty and the Beast (1991): Though Gaston appears as its plot-irrelevant villain and antagonist, all the movie’s conflict mostly just comes from Beast’s redemption arc and his developed romantic relationship with Belle to break the spell the Enchantress cast on Beast/Prince Adam and his servants in their castle. A new villain named Forte plays a larger, more key role in the direct to video midquel, The Enchanted Christmas. Belle’s Magical World has no villains or antagonists either outside of some of the main characters’ antagonism towards each other. The Jungle Book (1967): Although the movie has villains, Shere Khan and Kaa but not counting King Louie and the Bandar-Log monkeys who are chaotically neutral characters instead all its conflict mostly just comes from Mowgli through character development learning with Baloo and Baghreea’s help to overcome the selfish and compulsive side of his personality and agree to go to the Man-Village despite his dislike of it and preference to live in the Jungle with his adoptive wolf family and jungle animal friends. Shere Khan plays a larger role as a villain in the 2003 sequel and 2016 live-action movie. The Fox and the Hound (1981): Although Chief and Amos appear as neutral characters but not villains with brief antagonism towards Todd and Vixey and Widow Tweed and later for Copper himself, same for the Bear as the climax villain towards Tod, Copper and Amos in the climax, all the movie’s conflict just comes from Tod and Copper trying to keep their friendship alive and avoid becoming enemies despite the outside factors altering it. The 2006 direct to video midquel has no villains either, all its conflict just comes from Tod and Copper and the Singing Strays including Dixie and Cash resolving the internal conflicts within themselves. The Winnie the Pooh franchise: No villains or a
ntagonists aside from the Backson and Rabbit’s antagonism moments and Skullasaurus or the heffalumps and woozles in favor of its light-hearted tone, all its conflicts come from other factors and internal conflicts including for Pooh searching for honey and later getting stuck in Rabbit’s hole in The Honey Tree, the flood and destruction of Owl House’s in The Blustery Day and Rabbit learning through character development to make peace with Tigger’s bouncing and hyperactive behavior and not force him to stop doing it all in favor of his own selfish benefit and comfort in And Tigger Too and Eeyore’s tail’s disappearance, Pooh’s search for honey and Christopher Robin being kidnapped by the “Backson” and the main characters getting stuck in the Backson trap in the 2011 movie. Brave (2012): Though Mor’Du appears as its villain the movie’s conflict mostly just came from Merida and Elinor’s relationship and Merida’s character development instead. Frozen (2013): Though Prince Hans and the Duke of Weaeselton appear as its plot-irrelevant villains and plot devices, the movie’s conflict mostly just comes from the eternal winter created by Elsa and Elsa learning to leave isolation on the North Mountain and control her ice powers and overcome her fear of hurting or killing her sister Anna with them and lose her like how she lost her parents. Frozen 2, Once Upon a Snowman, Olaf Presents (Aside from Olaf’s portrayal of Disney villains in those episodes.) Frozen Fever and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure had no direct antagonists or villains either, just conflicts caused by other factors. Frozen III will likely have a main villain that will better contribute to the plot. Big Hero 6 (2014): Though Yokai appears as its main antagonist and plot-irrelevant villain and plot device, the movie’s conflict mostly just comes from Hiro’s character development and him with Baymax and the rest of the superhero team’s support learning to get over his older brother’s death and not have revenge on Yokai for it by killing him. The spin-off television series eventually uses villains and antagonists. The sequel, Big Hero 7 will likely have a main antagonist and villain that will better contribute to the plot. Zootopia (2016): Although Bellwether appears as the movie’s main antagonist and overarching and plot-irrelevant villain/plot device, with Duke and Doug appearing as antagonists too and Gideon Gray (Before his redemption), the Junior Ranger Scouts and Larry, Gary and Mr. Big and his polar bears (Briefly) having antagonism towards Nick and Judy, the movie’s conflict outside of the external ones caused by Bellwether and the antagonists mostly just comes from Nick and Judy’s character arcs and relationship which starts off as toxic at first due to them being natural enemies and having personality differences but slowly evolved into a friendship as the story progresses as they learned to accept each other for who they are and change into better people and Nick and Judy resolving the internal conflicts and traumas and personality flaws within themselves caused by being bullied for their species in their childhoods. Zootopia Plus has no direct villains or antagonists either outside of Duke’s role as a villain protagonist acting antagonistic towards a goat lady and the burglars from Mr. Big’s backstory and Tru Tru’s antagonism towards Fru Fru and her friends and Chief Bogo and the Tiger Dancers’ antagonism towards Clawhauser and Gazelle and Flash and Priscilla only out of their slowness and the customers at the Rainforest Riviera and Nick and Judy (At the end only out of doing their jobs as police officers) antagonism towards Sam. And Bellwether and Doug being its unseen overarching antagonists/villains. Zootopia 2 will likely have new villains and antagonists that will better contribute to the plot. Moana (2016): Aside from Te Ka/Te Fifi and Tamoata appearing as antagonists and villains in the movie, all it’s conflict mostly just comes from Moana and Maui trying to restore the heart of tefiti journeying across the South Pacific Ocean and Pacific Islands and Maui’s character arc and development to change from the selfish and pessimistic anti-hero he was introduced as into a well-meaning heroic protagonist with Moana’s support and help. Moana 2 will likely have a main villain. The Cars trilogy: Although these movies do have villains and antagonists, Chick Hicks for the first movie, Sir Axlerod, the Lemons and Professor Z and Jackson Storm appearing as its antagonists and villains, the movies mostly just focus on Lightning McQueen, Mater and Cruz’s character developments aside from them resolving the conflicts caused by the villains. The Cars Toon series has a few villains and antagonists while Cars on the Road has no villains or antagonists at all. The Lion King 1 ½ (2004): Though due to being a midquel to the first Lion King movie it has villains and antagonists, Scar and Shenzi, Banzai and Ed from the first movie, all the movie’s conflict mostly just comes from Timon’s character arc while he and Pumbaa journey to find Hakuana Mutata. All the other films and television series in The Lion King franchise meanwhile use villains and antagonists that contribute to the plot. Toy Story 4 (2019): Though the first three Toy Story movies have villains and antagonists, Sid Phillips for the first movie, Stinky Pete and AL for the second movie and Lotso and Ken (Who reforms at the end) for the third movie, the villains and antagonists for this movie, Gabby Gabby and the Bensons reform at the end due to being plot-irrelevant villains and anti-villains and false antagonists, all the movie’s conflict just comes from Woody trying to decide where his loyalties lie and whether its by being Bonnie’s toy or being a lost toy alongside Bo Beep. The Toy Story Toons and Lamp Life have no main villains or antagonists either. Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018): Although its predecessor, Wreck-It-Ralph (2012) has a main villain Turbo/King Candy as well as Cy-Bugs the sequel has no direct antagonists or villains aside from Arthur, the Ralph Clones, First Order Stormtroopers and Double Dan as all it’s conflict just comes from Wreck-It-Ralph and Princess Vanelope traveling to the internet from the video game world in LitWak's Arcade to the internet to but the Sugar Rush steering wheel from EBay to save Vanelope’s game, Sugar Rush and Ralph learning to end his personal attachment to Vanelope and make peace with her decision to go “Turbo” when she chooses to stay in Slaughter Race in the internet instead of returning to Sugar Rush and video game world in LitWak’s Arcade. Wreck-It-Ralph 3 which will likely focus on its heroes and protagonists visiting video games that are playable at home or streaming services will likely have main villains and antagonists that will better contribute to the plot. The Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar movies Soul, Onward, Raya and the Last Dragon (Unless counting the Drunn.), Enchanto (Unless counting the matriarch of the Miberal family.), Strange World and Turning Red and Elemental have no main villains or antagonists either because all their conflicts come from factors not caused by villains and antagonists including internal conflicts, family issues as conflicts caused by nature. Luca and Wish are the only exceptions. Dug Days from the Up franchise has no villains either while Auto appears as the overarching antagonist of Burn-E from the Wall-E franchise. Your Friend the Rat, Jack-Jack Attack and Auntie Edna have no villains either. The pterosaurs also appear as the plot-irrelevant villains of The Good Dinosaur, it’s unknown if Elio will have villains. Almost all the Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar short films outside the Mickey Mouse and Luxo Jr. franchises and Once Upon A Studio (2023) have no direct villains or antagonists. Syndrome, ScreenSlaver, Skinner, Auto and Charles Muntz meanwhile appear as the villains for The Incredibles franchise, Ratatouille, Wall-E and Up.
Maleficent , the evil queen, Jafar, Hades, Frollo , Mother Gothel, Hans are my favourite villians. They are entertaining villians at good at being evil. I like to hate disney villians but i find them interesting.
I can’t even do a ranking. I love so many of them. Lady Tremaine Maleficent Ursula The Evil Queen Frollo Jafar Ratigan Scar Captain Hook Yzma Cruella DeVil King John Shere Khan Gaston Mother Gothel Dr. Facilier Hades Shan Yu Chernabog King Candy The Horned King The Queen of Hearts Bowler Hat Guy The Coachman Zira
I know Clayton from Tarzan is not your favourite villain. It's also not my favourite villain. But Tarzan itself as a movie is pretty great in my opinion. Clayton is a decent villain, but his death is underrated in my opinion. 🪢 = ☠️
@@thetroveyoutube Exactly and some people don't notice it! He's not really a threat to Tarzan and his family except for the end and it's the same thing with Shere Khan from The Jungle Book. Shere Khan is overrated if you ask me and he's a meh villain to my opinion.
@@thetroveyoutube I hope for you if they make a remake of The Little Mermaid it won't be as bad as the other remakes. Hopefully that will be a great movie! 😁🙏🙏🙏
Sadly, Woods has turned out to be a real creep who hits on underage girls. Hades is my favourite Disney villain of all time, and I appreciate how Woods voices him for every appearance, and I hope he continues in that role. But he’s really let us all down in his personal choices.
I would really really love an R-Rated Villain Disney movie, I know it won't happen, since Disney is for kids, but it would be awesome especially Hades, he is my spirit animal lol anyone being deliciously evil is really entertains to me as a millennial
Isn't it odd that traditional Disney villains are some of the most iconic in the history of cinema, and yet they don't make new villains anymore? We need new villains that are JUST evil. Complex and sympathetic antagonists are interesting, but the archetypical bad guy/gal is often more engaging.
Wait Chernabog was supposed to be a villain? It no doubt it scared the 5 year old kids that watched it... sure, but as far as his role in the story. He comes out at night to party with the dead. Then they go back when the sun rises. Hardly a villain in my book.
My personal belief is that the Queen acts like that when she turns into the hag because she now has the privilege of anonymity. She's like a keyboard warrior - she can be completely unhinged now that she doesn't have any sort of image to keep up.
I respect you opinion but I think you failed to mention one twisted villain though it’s not clear who was really then main villain. Ask for explain and I’ll be happy to tell you why. 1 Coach man/ Stomboli 2 Jefar/ Malifficint 3 Ratigan/Horned King 4 Lady T 5 Scar 6 Roscio/Disocdo 7 Edgar 8 Gaston 9 Hades 10 Usarla
@@thetroveyoutube Coachman hands down the most evil villain compared to the usual villains mo, jealousy, greed, politics etc his was more on the lines of abuse and amusement. I recently watch a video basically proves my point more ppl should be considering this.
@@danielficarra2557 The Coachman is definitely super twisted and evil, you're right. I didn't put him in my personal list because he's not in the movie enough for me to get a strong grip on his character, but I'm glad you appreciate him. If I made a villain ranking based on evilness he'd certainly be there!
@@thetroveyoutubeaminated movies has flaws being colorful is not what makes it good i disagree with you a goofy movie is not good movie for me beacuse or its amination i care about the charaters in the movie you know I what would not care about aminated movies i didt care for the charaters you understand
I can understand you not wanting to do this video idea for either discomfort or monetization reasons or both, but i think a "hottest/most fuckable disney characters" video would be hilarious! Again if that's uncomfortable or doesn't match your channel's tone I completely understand! (everyone else can reply their top choice tho cause I'm curious my vote is for adult kovu 🥵🥵)
I can't believe you put mother gothel so low. She's a,2nd if not first for the very reasons you stated in this video. So why put her so far below? Maleficent is a plain villain that's it ...whereas Mother Gothel has complexities which makes her a very realistic villain, someone we can find in our day to day lives and it's terrifying...she should've been put second.
Jafar definitely needs to be on this list. just kick out one of the undeserving ones like Maleficent or the Evil Queen. Cruella is deliciously over-the-top evil. Every scene with her is an absolute blast. too bad every scene without her in it is a slog to get through; better to just watch the cruella scenes on youtube than sit through the rest of that boring-ass movie. Haven't seen the Black Cauldron, can't comment Frollo is another you just love to hate. He represents every corrupt clergymen, every holier-than-thou preacher, every hateful conservative out there. they all think their wicked ways are mandated by their god, which makes them all the more dangerous to society. I'm not really a fan of villains like Tremaine who are just evil for the sake of it. It worked with Cruella, but Tremaine isn't nearly as entertaining. She's intimidating, sure, but that alone won't do it for me Gothel, like Frollo, is scary because she's real. She's probably an even more insidious kind of evil than Frollo, cause frollo makes his intentions toward the gypsies quite clear, whereas Gothel constantly breaks Rapunzel down while pretending to love her. yes, pretending. she only loves Rapunzel's hair; that's the only thing she'll praise about Rapunzel. Gotta love Hades. not sure what i can say that hasn't been said already. the animation is awesome, the voice acting is awesome, the everything is awesome. Ursula's cool, sure, but i'm not sure she deserves to be this high on the list. She really isn't that exceptional (though of course i love poor unfortunate souls) you think the evil queen is a good villain? what have you been smoking? she's the blandest, most boring villain imaginable. nothing about her is interesting or entertaining. though of course, she was once the best disney villain. up until Pinocchio was released. Maleficent is likewise a boring-ass villain in a boring-ass movie. hot take, i know. she's just evil for the sake of it, and doesn't have the personality to back it up. other than Cruella, i don't think pure evil villains have ever worked for me. Scar is just awesome though. i think Jafar would top my list, but i can understand putting Scar in this place. love him. the scene where he kills Mufasa still sends shivers down my spine, especially cause we see the heartbreaking results immediately after. makes the conclusion where he's eaten by his hyena underlings so immensely satisfying.
It wouldn't be a ranking of mine if you didn't accuse me of smoking something now, would it? Lmao I can't say I foresaw being critiqued for ranking Maleficent high. But as I always say, disagreeing is what makes things interesting. Obviously I like Disney villains who are evil for the sake of it, but I can understand wanting more fleshed out characters like Frollo and Gothel who feel real. If I was watching anything other than a Disney movie I'd wholeheartedly agree, but something about the classic Disney movies with simple fairytale stories makes me enjoy the straightforward, evil villains. And I'm also taking their voicework and designs into heavy consideration here. Regardless, thanks for watching and commenting!!

I honestly hate scar, he's my least fav villain, in fact, The Lion King itself is my least favorite disney movie all time, my least favorite movie of all of the movies i ever watched actually
Lady Tremain brings terror into my veins because she could be anybody in our lives. She's perfectly nice and hospitable to guests, and she's just some sweet lady at the ball, but behind closed doors a complete monster. That could be anybody that we know, which is why she's so scary.
This is so true. Her ordinary appearance is a massive part of what makes her so terrifying. Great comment!

I'm so glad you included Hades on this list. While he may not be the scariest villain he has a charismatic humor, that you can't help but love.
I find it fitting that Maleficent and Scar share the top two spots. Scar is the king of evil in Disney, and Maleficent is the queen of evil.
Frollo is the most interesting and satisfyingly evil amongst the bunch but, Maleficent is iconic beyond the movie that introduced her to us.
You describe the villains really well. Like how Cruella's cloak is consuming her.
Thanks!!
Yzma is amazing

I think that Gothel is the best Disney villain. Shes the most realistic one. The manipulation, the gaslighting, her famous line "now I'm the bad guy." It was perfect writing. Also a great way to teach people the kind of person you should avoid. Her voice is very lovely too.
Now Disney only does twist villains and misunderstood people. Sad. You can actually create something so much more interesting with bid bad guys and teach us something about the human condition like they did with Gothel.
I agree. I really wish they’d return to clear villains rather than twists and shocks.
I just found you today and I have to tell you, your voice is soothing, your research is amazing, your lists are so good and the video is soooo entertaining...I could go on and on but I'll stop here and just say you got yourself a subscriber!!! Keep it up!

Frollo Scar Ursula and The Evil Queen are my top 4 favorite Disney villains ❤️
Yes I tend to agree with this!

Top 10 Underrated Disney Villains.
Honerable mentions got to
THE COACHMAN- I just wanted to mention him because he is the definition of pure evil.
Just like the coachman not a favorite but ridiculously evil
CLAUDE FROLLO- My favorite Disney movie along with Pinocchio has the most evil Disney villain along with the coachman.
Soo, here’s my list:
10) Gaston. Yes, I’m including this idiot. He’s scary, he’s a narcissistic idiot that can rally people up
9) Facilier, he’s song is great, he’s fun, and, oh my gods, what a way to go
8) Jafar
7) Scar
6) Claude Frollo (I hate his guts, but I think the Broadway version is so much better. Broadway version is number one)
5) Lady Tremaine
4) Mother Gothel (that gaslighting)
3) Ursula
2) Hades :)
1) Maleficent
Note: I haven’t watched everything and songs influence me a lot, so
Awesome list, thanks for sharing!
I don't think I've ever established a top 10 list myself, only top 3, but off the top of my head:
I think she would've been even better in "Kingdom of the Sun."
NGL, if Bruno had been an actual villain, I'm sure he would've made the list somewhere.
great list, thank you for sharing it!
Frollo, Scar, Ursula and Maleficent are my top 4. Not quite sure what order though. I think Frollo edges it as best villain for me while I find Scar to be the most fun and therefore my personal favourite. Jafar would also have made my list but otherwise I think my choices would be very similar.
Here Is My Top 10
1. Ursula
2. Mother Gothel
3. Maleficent
4. The Evil Queen
5. Scar
6. Cruella De Vil
7. Frollo
8. Jafar
9. Hades
10. Dr Facilier
Great ranking! I like Dr. Facilier a lot, although he just missed out on being in my personal ranking.
Damn you watched the exorcist at 7?! 😅
@@thetroveyoutube I had an older cousin who always snuck horrors on when I stayed over my aunt's house for the night xD
R.I.P. Pat Carroll
SCAR!!!!!!! We love him the meanest!!!!!!! Cruella also a stunning figure xaxaxa, and so... devil!!!!!!
My top 10:
10. Hades
9. Ursula
8. The evil queen (snow white)
7. The owner (?) Of the Pleasure Island (Pinocchio)
6. Cruella De Villa
5. Maleficient
4. Mother Gothel
3. Lady Tremain
2. Scar
1. Frollo
Oh the Coachman from Pinocchio? He’s really scary. Great list!
The ghost of the mirror still creeps me out with it's black eyes 😬😳
Can you do a ranking of direct to video disney sequels.
This is a fun idea! The only problem is that I haven't seen most of them in years and don't necessarily want to rewatch them all haha. I might be able to rank them into tiers rather than do a proper numbered ranking though. Thanks for the suggestion!
A ranking of Disney Villains songs would be cool
Awesome suggestion, I'll definitely have to make this ranking at some point. Thanks!
The Horned King is also in Night on Bald Mountain!
I'm not sure that he's actually in it, but I've read that animators got inspiration from this short when they designed him for The Black Cauldron.
@@Blokewood3 Oh, that's actually really cool! I didn't know that detail, but I love learning things like this. Thanks!
My favorite has to be gothel, it doesn't feel too dark but also really realistic and I just really like manipulaive type of villans
Sometimes it’s scarier when the villains are more grounded and realistic.
This was so hard, a top 25 would have been easier.
10. Cruella (Just too iconic not to be on a top 10.)
My favorite moment: Any time she's raving.
09. Jafar (Made a lot of stupid decisions, but still...)
My favorite moment: Dressing down (literally!) Aladdin.
08. Gaston (something about the non magical villains is so intriguing. Except for Hans. Hans bores me. And Belleweather. Bleh.)
His theme song in the tavern.
Toxic people can love the ones they are abusing, which makes it that much more tragic.)
My favorite moment: When she goes mask off with rapunzel after having Flynn taken out by the Stabbingtons.
06. Hades (Hades is such a fun villain and his design totally stands out!)
My favorite moment: Pretty much all of them, he's fun in every scene...but his interaction with the Fates cracks me up.
He is a scary reminder of hatred and pride can be a deadly combination.)
My favorite moment: Probably the windmill scene. If I hadn't already hated him, that would have done it.
04. Ursula (Flamboyant, campy, a lot of fun and also extremely evil and unable to be redeemed. But that's why she's such a good villain. And don't forget about BODY LANGUAGE!)
Her villain song, how could it not be?
It's not her hatred of Snow White that drives her so much as the fact that she will never be happy.)
My favorite scene: The Queen and the Hag both deserve favorite moments. But I'll combine them and say the transformation.
02. Maleficent (She basically ties with Tremaine for first place for me. The voice, the imposing presence and her pure evil are just perfect for the story. She didn't need redeemed. Redeeming her was honestly a stupid fanfic level idea...and I say this as somoen who mostly enjoys the Maleficent film.)
My favorite moment: Her arrival at the party.
Thanks for sharing such a detailed ranking! I love that you mentioned favorite moments for each villain.
Ursula scared the poo out me as a kid... I'm calling it now she gets an origin if that isn't already in the works
After the success of nightmare and coraline yall need to put some respekt on the cauldron it was ahead of it's time
so i think the only thing about your list that would differ from mine is i'd trade Frolo and the evil Queen's position. only because as self serving as the queen's actions are do we know if she's got countless lives on her hands? yes her goal was to kill the princess but she eventually ended up poising her into a death like sleep not actual death. I honestly think even to this day he might even be just a tad worse than Scar but that's honestly a toss up.
i actually despise ursula and mother gothel, but i have to agree they do make my favorite movies great. i wonder if they're my least favorites because they're so awful to my favorites haha :(
lotso is my favorite villain even tho he's pixar. it's just so hard to see him as evil when he's a little pink teddy bear 🥺
besides lotso, i LOVE the headless horseman and gaston!! they can do no wrong in my eyes. i'm curious if they were cut from your honorable mentions!
Madam Medusa is truly evil kidnapping a girl and forcing her to dig up a diamond
my top 3:
1. frollo (because of all the reasons you stated)
2. scar. He's iconic.
3. Jafar. He's v creepy.
Great top 3!
If Disney is an extended universe, Chernabog is essentially that universe's Satan. He lives in the hearts of all Disney villains.
Times Disney and Pixar movies don’t need villains or antagonists:
Bambi (1942): No antagonists or villains aside from the human hunters exist in this movie, same for the 2006 direct to video midquel all its conflict and story due to being light-hearted just comes from the coming of age story focusing on how Bambi, Thumper and Flower go from childhood to adulthood and Bambi succeeding his father as the new Prince of the Forest.

Evil queen because she is an absolute legend
Also is it just me or does the hunchback soundtrack kinda sound like Zelda music
How about a top 10 Disney movie list?
I've actually ranked all 60 of their animated films if you want to check it out! th-cam.com/video/8A3O3sBOEJ4/w-d-xo.html
I know Clayton from Tarzan is not your favourite villain. It's also not my favourite villain. But Tarzan itself as a movie is pretty great in my opinion. Clayton is a decent villain, but his death is underrated in my opinion. 🪢 = ☠️
I agree, Clayton’s death scene is fantastic. The shadow of his body hanging there is so creepy.
@@thetroveyoutube Exactly and some people don't notice it! He's not really a threat to Tarzan and his family except for the end and it's the same thing with Shere Khan from The Jungle Book. Shere Khan is overrated if you ask me and he's a meh villain to my opinion.
@@simontekentvanalles6073 I do love how they found a way to be super dark and creepy but in a subtle way
@@thetroveyoutube I hope for you if they make a remake of The Little Mermaid it won't be as bad as the other remakes. Hopefully that will be a great movie! 😁🙏🙏🙏
@@simontekentvanalles6073 do you think Queen La should have been the main villain of Disney Tarzan?
What's with the personal swipe at James Woods? Nobody else got that treatment.
From what I've heard, James Woods is a jerk. I don't know a lot about the other voice actors to comment about them.
Sadly, Woods has turned out to be a real creep who hits on underage girls. Hades is my favourite Disney villain of all time, and I appreciate how Woods voices him for every appearance, and I hope he continues in that role.
But he’s really let us all down in his personal choices.
Almost every villain in disney is top tier
I would really really love an R-Rated Villain Disney movie, I know it won't happen, since Disney is for kids, but it would be awesome especially Hades, he is my spirit animal lol anyone being deliciously evil is really entertains to me as a millennial
Maybe a different studio could try this idea!
Interesting choice, what do you think about doing Pixar and Non-Disney villains?
I’d definitely consider it, especially Pixar 👍
@@thetroveyoutube but Non Disney villains like 9(2009), Don Bluth’s, Dreamworks etc?
@@srstriker6420 Possibly! I haven't seen all the DreamWorks movies so I'd have to get around to that first.
@@thetroveyoutube okay then but have you seen Monster House, Coraline and 9(2009)?
What do you have in mind for Halloween?
I'm surprised Kathleen Kennedy isnt on the list
lmao
Isn't it odd that traditional Disney villains are some of the most iconic in the history of cinema, and yet they don't make new villains anymore? We need new villains that are JUST evil. Complex and sympathetic antagonists are interesting, but the archetypical bad guy/gal is often more engaging.
Bill Cipher Number 1
,what are the reasons for not including Jafar in your ranking?
Wait Chernabog was supposed to be a villain? It no doubt it scared the 5 year old kids that watched it... sure, but as far as his role in the story. He comes out at night to party with the dead. Then they go back when the sun rises. Hardly a villain in my book.
My personal belief is that the Queen acts like that when she turns into the hag because she now has the privilege of anonymity. She's like a keyboard warrior - she can be completely unhinged now that she doesn't have any sort of image to keep up.
I think you're right!
I understand why you picked the villain youdid for number 1.
Scar is OK, but I'd put him at 4 or 5
I respect you opinion but I think you failed to mention one twisted villain though it’s not clear who was really then main villain. Ask for explain and I’ll be happy to tell you why.
1 Coach man/ Stomboli
2 Jefar/ Malifficint
3 Ratigan/Horned King
4 Lady T
5 Scar
6 Roscio/Disocdo
7 Edgar
8 Gaston
9 Hades
10 Usarla
Nice list! Who’s the villain you’re thinking of?
For a more sfw version maybe you could do "most marriable" instead so that you can take into account how they would treat you as a partner lol
Hahaha I can definitely consider this type of idea for a future video, thanks for the suggestion!
Haven't seen the Black Cauldron, can't comment
Frollo is another you just love to hate.
She's intimidating, sure, but that alone won't do it for me
Gothel, like Frollo, is scary because she's real.
She really isn't that exceptional (though of course i love poor unfortunate souls)
you think the evil queen is a good villain? what have you been smoking? she's the blandest, most boring villain imaginable. nothing about her is interesting or entertaining. though of course, she was once the best disney villain. up until Pinocchio was released.
@@thetroveyoutube i don't always accuse you of smoking something. on your pixar ranking vid, i accused you of being drunk.
(of course, these are all jokes; i know you don't actually abuse substances while making these rankings)
@@ashleyvanbeek7045 you're right, there is some variety in there! haha, i know it's all in good humor ;)
I hope corona has a good therapist on hand.
Spoilers for the tangled series: they don’t.
Oh no! Haha, hope Rapunzel is coping alright
@@thetroveyoutube It’s gradual. But you’re right. Her trauma is present. And her (understandably) overprotective Dad doesn’t help.
@@TheRoomforImprovement I only saw the first episode of that show but I was surprised by the characterization of her father. I wasn't a fan of it from what I saw.
@@thetroveyoutube It has its ups and downs (especially in the 1st season) but When it works, it works. Some songs in it are better then the ones in the original movie.
@@TheRoomforImprovement Maybe I'll have to give it another chance!
Yeah maleficent always slow
I honestly hate scar, he's my least fav villain, in fact, The Lion King itself is my least favorite disney movie all time, my least favorite movie of all of the movies i ever watched actually
Maleficent is way better than Scar I wanted her to be number one not him
She definitely deserves the top spot, this is just my preference!
She is a pretty bland character compared to Scar. Scar is the perfect combination of every aspect we love from villains
