Glad you're back! I do wish more of the castles were larger; so many are slender, especially the ones from older movies. I do appreciate Eric's and Jasmine's for their unique shapes.
I'd love to see you do a video on your least favorite Disney films, a video about "Kingdom of the Sun," or stories you'd like for Disney to adapt.

Many of these castles are iconic! I love your list! I wonder if I can even pick one in all honesty. I suppose my favorite is King Stephan's castle. I have to admit though that Aurora is my favorite princess. So a bit biased I guess. I like the different areas of his castle and that dining room where the feast is has always looked very appealing to me. Great video as always!

Great video! Not drawn out unnecessarily with padding, but still enough time to highlight each of these stunning structures!

Glad your back The Trove, great list! Fun fact on Sleeping Beauty’s castle, in Disney Land. It was going to be Snow White’s castle to honor the first Disney animated movie. But Walt decided to change it to Sleeping Beauty castle to let visitors know about the new princess movie coming out. Sleeping was going to be released in 1955 but it was going through production troubles, so it was released in 1959 instead!
My favorite Disney castle’s are Cinderella’s castle and the beast castle!

I agree with u so much when at the end of beauty and the beast the castle changed I feel it was such a Erie looking castle and the forest a fog and mountains around it gave it that perfect cherry on top

Nice video, despite I kinda don’t agree with your list at all lol. I personally don’t think Aurora’s castle should be higher simply because of the visuals, considering how little time she’s even in the movie itself. But anyway, this is my list:
    1. Cinderella- I always enjoyed the grandioso style of this castle, making it more romantic and fitting perfectly for the royal ball and Cinderella’s reward for not giving up on her dreams. Just wished the prince wasn’t so bland (not counting 3)
    2. Atlantica- I severely disagree Eric’s castle is better. I always found the exterior a little plain and more like a big fat tower similar to Merida’s castle. I really loved how creative King Triton’s castle is, especially in LM3 with the forgotten garden which has a statue of the late Queen Athena.
    3. Rapunzel’s castle- personally I was very disappointed this one was in last. I know we didn’t get nearly enough time in it, but it is shown a LOT in the sequel series. I also really loved the more Spanish style (I think) aesthetic. Too bad Raps didn’t grow up here
    4. Beast Castle- I think this is a huge reason to why the movie became popular, all the talking utensils and furniture, especially with Forte in the sequel. As much as he gives me the creeps and is still one of my favorite sequel villains in general, Tim Curry did an amazing job. Also, I always loved the stained glass windows, especially in the ending when Belle is what let everyone turn back to normal
    5. Aurora- I really love the more realistic look of an actual European castle from the 14 century. It’s so beautiful despite castles weren’t actually that grand or colorful.
    6. Elsa- the winter palace (as I like to call it) really is a masterpiece. It really shows how much potential Elsa contains and how she can truly be herself without having to be afraid of her abilities. I guess I wish we got to explore more of it instead of being limited to the main chamber and balcony. (Like does Elsa sleep on a frozen bed??)
    7. Tiana’s Palace- I’m a little disappointed this wasn’t at least mentioned as an honorable mention. Yeah its not a castle, but I always found the tiny name change so sweet. I think it’s something a LOT of people didn’t notice at first (place to palace) but it shows how fancy yet homey Tiana’s restaurant is that welcomes people from all walks of life for a delicious meal
-If you have any suggestions, I’d say reviewing Don Bluth animations. Or I recommend ranking the Disney sequels (not counting live action or ones made by Walt Disney in comparison to the Home Video ones)
-Also one other thing, what’s your opinion on the white castle at the end of Snow White? Heaven maybe? And if we want to be technical, I think Notre Dame or the palace of justice deserves an honorable mention. Notre Dame specifically has so many gorgeous shots during Out There and God Help the Outcasts, showing God’s “castle” welcomes anybody no matter who they are. I think one of the most iconic shots is Quasi water boarding down the flying buttresses or simply hanging onto the tallest steeple, singing about how much he wants to go outside Notre Dame for just one day. Also, I know this one probably shouldn’t count, but what are your opinions on King James’s castle in Pocahontas 2? This one ironically enough actually gets a lot of screentime, too bad Pocahontas couldn’t enjoy herself

Hey Todd, good to see you again. I have been watching all of the films from Walt Disney Animation Studios in order, something I haven’t done before. Do you have something special for the 100th anniversary?

Thanks! Watching them all in order is a special experience for sure. I don’t have anything planned currently for the 100th but possibly!
