This video is part of my RANKED series. I received a comment on my last video asking me to rank Disney sidekicks, and I loved the idea! Sidekicks are such a memorable and fun aspect of so many Disney movies and there are lots of options to choose from.

Yeah Pascal is my favorite sidekick! I think Pascal saw Mother Gothel’s bad side even before Rapunzel did. I believe that is why he wanted to have her drop out the window. He is so funny with his little squeaks! Your list is great! Sebastian is definitely a vital character in the Little Mermaid. Awesome video!
Everytime you named someone I thought "who could be better than them?!" and then you'd list someone better... Goes to show my lack of memory of sidekicks... Great list!
Mushu is one of the best talking animal companions! I'd definitely love to see you make a list of stories you'd like Disney to adapt.
I'd like to give a shout out to Flotsam and Jetsam. They do Ursula's bidding as her spies, sure, yet she cares about them and they have an undying loyalty to have everything in her favour.
My heart breaks when Ursula loses her babies. They ask her how she is and she has to tell them that she is fine but she's not really fine and she just can't get into it because they would never understand

Of Ariel's animal friends, only Sebastian could keep Ariel company, he can hide himself from humans and still assist Ariel with his tiny size but strong wits
Without Sebastian's unselfish bravery, Ariel would never get her happy ending...she will be doomed as her original fairy tale was written!

A bit surprised the three fairy’s from Sleeping Beauty aren’t on here. Homegirls were always on the clock 😂
They are a group and not a singular person. But yes they are amazing in that movie!

I honestly consider them more the protagonists than sidekicks, but I do love them!
@@thetroveyoutube that’s true. They do have the largest character arcs, tbh
Like your list but I don’t think Hercules should’ve gotten two slots, despite I get Pain and Panic are on opposite sides of Pegasus. And personally, I find Pain and Panic more bumbling and annoying than actually funny. I’m really disappointed Maximus didn’t get included with Pascal, who deserved a lot higher. Max literally helps Flynn and Raps get together and even helps Flynn out of prison to save Rapunzel. Plus I find his personality a lot more hilarious than Olaf, someone that is a bit annoying and overbearing especially in the sequel. I don’t hate Olaf, BUT there’s a reason why non talking animals work so much better than a ranting snowman. Another I’m disappointed didn’t get mentioned was Meeko and Flit from Pocahontas. For being sidekicks, they actually serve a pretty decent purpose in the story, including Flit’s paranoia of John Smith’s friendship to Pocahontas while Meeko is at odds with Ratcliffe’s dog Percy. I actually really loved how Meeko helped Pocahontas at her lowest point by giving her John’s compass, realizing what her dream means and John was always her dream. Also I find these three so much more funny than Olaf (yes he is more annoying than actually endearing) or Pain and Panic. I am a little surprised Rajah or Carpet weren’t included, given Rajah is Jasmine’s only friend for most of the movie, and low key I used to envy Jasmine for owning a tiger. I also enjoyed Sleeping Beauty’s animal companions when they steal Philip’s cloak and boots to become her dream prince, a little sad the owl or other creatures didn’t reappear in the rest of the movie. Also, what are your thoughts on Tuk Tuk from Raya and the Last Dragon or Heihei from Moana?? Another I’d include would be Ray the firefly from Princess and the Frog. His little love story with the evening star made me cry when he died and became a star next to her
Also, as for Sebastian, I actually find him to probably be the best character in the entire movie. I find it hilarious he shares Triton’s hatred of humans, but chooses to disobey Triton’s orders anyway to help Ariel win Eric’s heart. And he comes to see not all humans are crazy nut cases like Chef Louis.
Top 10 Disney settings? I was watching the Pixar settings when that occurred to me.
