Welcome to the chaos! My name is Nate, I enjoy gaming and engineering. So I decided to combine those two passions and look into some of the engineering behind famous video game machines. Hopefully you enjoy!
The Legend of General Brasch (He's a Fraud)
Who really is General Brasch from Helldivers 2? Not much is said about him in the game. The community has made him into a legend similar to Chuck Norris though. But, there is a chance he is far from that. He could be a much darker figure in the game...

The Railgun has been a favorite in both Helldivers 1 and 2. I decided to break down the history of the railgun as well as look at the math behind the railgun to see if it would be possible to make one using modern technology. #gaming #helldivers2 #lore
The Terrifying Automoton Lore and Anatomy
มุมมอง 127K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Automotons are a massive threat to Super Earth. They are scary, loud, and smell a bit like motor oil. In this video I cover the lore of the Automotons in Helldivers 2, and where they likely came from based on the lore of Helldivers 1. #gaming #helldivers2 #lore
The Illuminate are coming, Here’s How to Beat Them (hopefully…)
มุมมอง 12K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
The bugs are being pushed back. The bots are being pushed back. That leaves perfect room for a Helldivers 1 faction to make it's appearance. THE ILLUMINATE. The Illuminate are a highly advanced faction from the first game and they are TERRIFYING. Today we discuss the leaks of the models for the upcoming new enemy. #gaming #helldivers2 #tips #leaks

Today in Stardew Valley I Found Space Boots!!
What about the nursing spewer it’s orange
I think we need the German World War II King Tiger tank stratagem
The automaton are communist I'm basically American what is he saying communism as a religion we cannot do anything because of Congress and the Constitution
The moment i under stood the weakness of my flesh....
Dont forget, quick way to kill the Strider is to call reinforcements on them, the hellpods do massive damage!
Why do you still have a rusty sword?
I believe the reason why troopers are made to look humanoid is simply because it’s the most efficient form of soldier Everything else is a weapon, they can easily crush a trooper, but what are they gonna do when they need to collect resources? Build factories? Scout out the land, set up defenses, or even traverse highly uneven terrain? Devastators are too big to scout enemies without getting spotted easily and have only one working hand that makes them inefficient workers, berserkers can’t hold anything, hulks would realistically have trouble moving on rough terrain and no variant has a hand to work with as well as a lack of flexibility Every unit has its purpose, be it for direct combat, psychological warfare, or besieging emplacements The factory strider would work for sieges, its own guns laying waste to fortifications, its immense size drawing fire as well as pushing forward, and it drops bots such as *troopers* who then serve to pick through the rubble for survivors and/or resources, essentially, they exist to push the bots’ frontline, after capturing an area, they then build a bunch of troopers who then get to work building the actual factories and outposts we see You can almost think of striders as like the automaton equivalent to WH40K orks’ gorkanauts which break the frontline and can deploy orks stored inside while still fighting themselves
the berserkers also laugh and scream in high pitched noises, which is used to strike fear into the divers, which is also kind of a human tactic. (they also use totems of dismembered divers)
"automatons are just in one sector" it didn't aged well
What about the flying bugs
"Hulks are harder to deal with than tanks" Me one shotting like... 6 hulks with my railgun in one game: "not... really. I despise their tanks"
I’m the exact opposite lmao I can’t oneshot hulks with the spear but I can absolutely oneshot tanks That and the spear shits itself when the lock on target is closer then 10m
I think its more something like Pattern Imprint. Simply put, the Brain is a required component to create a Automaton. But not as a physical part. Instead, its a digitized psyche that is then force programmed. And then, a body is made and the Psyche is forced into it. If destroyed, it's not a issue, as the Psyche is able to be reused from production centers to remake the Automaton. It's Necron 101.
8:44 this is flat-out wrong, the tooltip in question explicitly states the reason theyre affected by supressive fire is because they have "hyper-reactive sensors" that essentially get frazzled when they're overloaded with too much input.
Aren’t the automatons socialists, not communists?
I want the bugs to keep evolving to become humanoid and maybe fuse with helldivers
There's only one religion for cyborgs and it's obviously the Cult Mechanicus
PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH
What about the orange nursing spewer. Less armored version of bile spewer.
Considering the game was inspired from starship troopers theres a big chance they have a hivemind structure yeah, and super massive bugs too
Guard Dog Rover is very very good for new players that don't have much situational awareness, even just as a warning tool for themselves. Particularly on Bug planets with melee enemies. Also, it saves ammo, as you don't need to waste ammo shooting little ones. You can just walk around and let the rover handle it.
I do agree the Flamethrower is pretty bad but I will say if I find it in a bug mission randomly I often take it, and its great for holding off swarms trying to rush you like even just to force em back, and also it kinda stun-locks Stalkers and prevents them from doing that terrifying leap fling thing at you.
I prefer EAT over Recoilless Rifle because EAT's afaik do slightly more damage, and also do not take up a backpack slot. Also I can call in a crap ton because of the fast drop time, and so teammates can get shots off, or i can just have em scattered all over the map ready to be picked up whenever nearby because there's 2 per pod.
Helldivers are 7ft tall Also i think that there are shock absorbers of some type in the hellpod if he rises out of it
General brash vs chuck norris
The hive mind is in the planet the Terminids occupy.
Actually I think the tank is an automaton too, the turret is literally his entire head
How do the bugs travel in space?
Well crap if the automotons are in fact kidnapping people and forcing to basically become cybermen then they truly are the bad guys.
Imagine what Helldivers would be like if we could ride these things like horses.
Patriot: doesn’t know about lore and fights for super earth Traitor:knows about the lore and try’s to screw over super earth TRUE PATRIOT: *knows the lore but still fights for super earth*
if it's true it's very f up, and automatons have no moral ground for their cause
it's not diferent evolutionary state they are similiarto ants in this matter they are one species every memebr of a hive is born with diferent role in mind just like in ant hive
11:12 the berserker is actually a logging tool. When they invade those planets they have to harvest resources y’know
Bile Titans are classified as "small" on their home planet. There are much bigger Teminids, called Hive Lords, which, as he name suggests, hosts an entire colony of bugs, Bile Titans included. Think Factory Strider from Atomatons, but much, much, oh so much bigger.
It might also explain that they die instantaneously when you shot their heads of. I mean, if they are fully robotic, why not adding a safety second brain to make an headless automaton still fighting or something ?
all eggs are orange, not green, which makes it seem like they were layed by orange bugs, which makes it seem like orange bugs are females, or at least egg layers if bugs reproduce asexually. also, nursing spewer is orange, and has a big ass just like bile spewer. name "nursing spewer" conveys the role of offspring production more, while name "bile spewer" coveys a more military role. perhaps there are "nursing titans" that are just hidden well underground?
Go cry about it at your momma. WE ARE READY! We will democrat any place in the universe for super earth, doesn't matter where or whom. We don`t even have to evac, we have plenty of clones to deal with them!
As treasonous as all of this is to say: There’s a lot of hints that when Helldivers are recruited, they’re put in cryo storage until they’re needed. Perhaps the Automaton are similar. When they get new recruits, they’re embalmed and their brains stored until needed. I find it unlikely these are stolen civilian brains, because a.) they aren’t trained and b.) they would mutiny.
im guessing the terminid diversity is akin to how eusocial insects back home on Super Earth have soldiers, workers, drones, Queens, etc. The Bugs have just a much higher diversity of variants.
Hive Guards are actually based on Turtle Ants - a species of ants that have a head that's shaped to seal the entrance to the hive
What game ?
There's actually a types of chainsaws used in mining operations, and the chainsaws berserkers use do resemble these chainsaws. Specifically how they attach to the rest of the arm looks like they have a pneumatic component, in which nearly all mining chainsaws have. I'm more led to believe beserkers are originally designed for mining operations, but that chainsaws just also happen to be deadly. Automatons already have a dedicated melee weapons that are also used with jetpacks, designing their actual melee based units with mobility in mind. This does not make sense for the beserker, as they lack the same mobility. Beserkers too are also the only automaton design that lack plating around joints, with even the basic troopers having some level of armor. Beserkers don't really have armor of any kind, which leads me to believe they originally were not warbots.
in the first game there was a bug called a hive lord, i cant think of any place to put it in the evolution. also, i think the bile and nursing spewers were selectively bred to produce more mineral 710. I wouldn't say that they evolved sepretly, i think thst they are like other hive insects, and that diffrent bugs serve diffrent purposes in the hive
AMR is hulk annahilator imo
I have a feeling we will be totally owned by these dudes until we stea... re-approate the technology and have some serious gear to fight with! But before that, it will be most horrific.
Why not both ?
I think the flyers might’ve evolved from the stalkers since the stalkers have those wings and are really light, fast, agile, and can jump high so maybe the flyers are their metamorphosis. Or maybe some hunters become stalkers and others metamorphosize into flyers.
100% agree! In my mind it’s kind of their final form to be able to fly and capture prey. Also I’m considering making an updated version of this video since some new bugs, like the flyers, have come out since I made it!
gerneral brasch uses 500kgs as grenades
finally this kind of jokes appearing
I thought it was common knowledge that the terminid types are just different stages of their life cycle..
You're missing like 4 types of bugs, Grandpa!
