I remember in a fight with the Automatons over Marfak I think, the SEAF colonial defense forces from the planet Lesath sent us (canonically) reinforcements to fight the Automatons, ingame this translated into a boost in the conquest percentage and holy liberty if we needed it, we were about to lose.

So basically, Helldivers are just paratroopers.

A note that I have found is is if you have a quasar cannon aim for the legs of the harvester it should 1 shot

The dark god theory is nonsense in my opinion. I thought it was pretty obvious after their first defeat they have returned with absolute hatred (much like the bots) and have no qualms now using citizens as meat shields using technology they already had.

The HD1 Illuminate were very reminiscent of the Covenant from Halo. Now they're 100% influenced by Warframe. Considering the Helldiver games draw heavily from other sci-fi series that's awesome, but I still much prefer the aesthetic in the first game.

the Helldivers are selected from a 1% of the seaf, so when they say you are an elite, they are not wrong, is just that 1% of a manpower of a galaxy, is a pretty big number anyway.

I've been digging into info about the Illuminate so I can be a better Diver.... but dang. This peaceful species took it upon themselves to basically become our unofficial guardians. Never forced their ideologies or beliefs on us, just checked in here and there to make sure we were doing alright and developing well. They must have been so proud of us for developing space flight, and excited to finally reveal themselves and hopefully be allies. Just for us to immediately declare war on them for no apparent reason (from their perspective) and get genocided to the point Super Earth genuinely thought they were eradicated. I find it really funny that I just wanted to watch a video on Helldiver bugs and then just randomly I re-learned about the King salmon that I already know about because I literally catch them every summer due to me living in Alaska.

They really need to fix their spawning problems. They literally spawn in front of you in hordes, already running at you, it's wild. I'd be ok with them warping down or something with an animation, but there's nothing. Just poof, enemies. Even in this video, in the first 60s, you can see the grunts just spawning into existence already running at him AS HE'S LOOKING AT THEM. At least bugs and bots have the decency to wait until I turn around to spawn.

In my opinion the braking from the retrorockets decelerates the pod more than estimated. Also wouldnt want your pod to hit solid rock or yes youre a flat diver.

I tried to play helldivers 2. the game played perfectly for a few minutes, then suddenly crashes, and It won't give me an error message, so I can't find the problem. Had to refund the game if I can't play.

During the age of sail, the ships "Master" or Sailing Master basically ran the day to day operations and navigated the ship. The Captain of the Ship was the one who gave him orders to be carried out and who fought the ship during combat. You have a ships Master (bald woman) who greets you after the mission. she does the day to day operations and carries out the orders given to her by the Helldiver. The Helldiver who is unfrozen is therefore in charge of the ship as a Captain but has duties delegated to the DO and other crew officers. After all, it's the Helldiver that is calling down the ordnance and supplies from the ship as well as directing where to fly to fight. The Helldiver is going to know what's best to take the fight to the enemy while the Master is just there to maintain everything. The Democracy officer is essentially a political officer. What's known as a Commissar to many East Europeans. They're really there to keep people from defecting and purge and treasonous sentiments. Officially they would be in charge of morale and propaganda. Disseminating proper Democratic views and speeches to the crew. Note his elaborate heavy armor that will never see a smudge of dirt. They would have no command authority but that hasn't stopped commissars from trying to take command in the past if they discovered a company's officer corps corrupted or cowardly.

As fun as SEAF would be to call in, it would be a waste of a stratagem slot on higher difficulties it would be better as a planet defense bonus as they wander around the map patrolling for enemies

If they did a movie it would cool to have half the film focus on a large SEAF formation struggling on the front lines with the other half being focused on Hell Divers taking those critical objectives in support, showing the relationship between the two and telling an expansive narrative.

On a raise the flag mission this weekend I was sitting next to a machine gun shooting at the husks during the night. The light from my own and the machine gun muzzle flash was just, well enough for me to post talking about it. This new update was such a win. My favorite faction to fight. Like a blend of bots and bugs, but in a good way.

I want like SEAF Marines we call in as a reinforcement squad of soldiers that acts as our extra-fire-support like the Halo Marines and I'd want like SEAF Army, Guardsmen, and PDF for being present on the planet already either engaged in actions against enemy forces, holding defensive lines, defending objectives, and really engaging in ongoing battles that we dive right in the middle of to turn the tide.

This literally just feels like halo bunched up into one faction. Shields. Alien tech in general and shoving “the flood” in with the covenant lol. Now the ODST have a warthog.

Helldiver pods are loaded like bullets into a chamber where they are then fired. Helldivers are bullets, and like bullets, are expendable. That is grim, but the truth is, the whole of Super Earth society is expendable. It is their culture. Look at the lyrics of the Super Earth Anthem
