I came here to say this. If your base is diverse, having generalist pals means they run off doing random stuff and get distracted from what you want them to do.
Having both specialists and generalists is nice though. THough yeah, you want your specialists too. Luckily there's bit of prioritisation going on, like igniting and handiwork taking higher priority over things like lumberjacking.
That’s actually one thing I hope they improve in the future, the assigning feature. Because man they just tend to do what they want. I kind of like having some loose pals to help with building and crafting too
Penking i think is a very good #1 early game pal before u start to specialise and optimize your base crew as they can do abit of everything pretty well. I would say this is a good list to get u moving into the midgame and while these pals ofc dont compare to the more specialised mid-lategame pals u need a solid base crew to get u there first and for that these 10 pals are good enough. Not to mention that when u have both a Penking and a Bushi u can use those 2 to breed your self an army of Anubis. Just make sure they arent the same sex i messed that up on my first try and was confused why nothing happened at first.
Glad you liked the video! I actually did that for a style choice, Kind of draws the eye to the subjects in the foreground like the pal name and the charts. I'm thinking for the next video I might turn do the blur a little bit and make slightly clearer
I'm sorry, while I love me Penkings as nice general workers, not having Anubis in the list is A SHEER CRIME. Lad's relatively easy to breed out. Speaking of breeding, you got your mossanda and your petalia, right and think petalia is the ultimate farmer pal? Put the panda and the flower on a honeymoon and get yourself a Lyleen. A pure upgrade over Petalia.
I really thought about throw Anubis on there, but anubis being hard to catch kept me from it. But, I actually didn’t know it was relatively easy to breed! Thanks for the tip there, I will absolutely be looking up the combo for it now.
I figured it out. They spawn in a cycle. I just caught 2. Take a flyer and circle the island collecting chests and catching pals and one will spawn you just have to stay there and keep going around.@@natesgamebox
I actually really struggled with that, only reason I didn’t include them is they are kind of late game to catch. A pretty big factor for me was how easy it is to get them.
Wixen can be a difficult catch, but Anubis is dead easy to breed. You already have Penking and Bushi in your list, their kidis always Anubis. Grizzbolt you might have to breed?
Generalists pals typically don't do the activity you need them to do when you need them to do it. Specialists are way better
Unless you have a farm/logging exclusive base. Then Verdash are pretty good.

tell that to my base with 5 anubis that refuse to do handiwork and just keep on mining stones

I haven't tried yet but I am told that Grizzbolt will show up sometimes at that sanctuary island in the south of the map.

You can find Grizzbolt in the southern sanctuary (87, -720) around level 20
I heard about that! I’ve had horrible luck apparently though. I’ve visited there a few times, but never got one
I found one there and accidentally killed it. Haven’t seen one since…..
