Cyberpunk has had 3 years for it's redemption. Starfield could be a much better game in 3 years. Plus Starfield's launch wasn't as bad as Cyberpunk's when it comes to bugs and stuff.

Putting aside every piece of gameplay and design for a moment...cyberpunk, even at launch, had a great story with competent and interesting characters, well-written dialogue which helped you feel even more at home in the immersive world-building of night city, even boosted to the stratosphere when combined with the amazing soundtrack. That is why, even with all the bugs and shortcomings, there was alot to the game. On the other hand, Starfield is BARREN. dialogue is written with the grace of a dead fish and all the story lines in it are, putting it mildly, "Bethesda level".

i mean, you just go into cyberpunk, and every character you interact in the story is so jarringly different, they all have their own unique backstories, and you really get to dive deep into those backstories, the conflicts of the characters and their motives, the way the characters were made was so well done, like a whole new Engine has been designed to allow these characters to look this way, and then you have starfield, and there they are using the same engine theyve been using for over a decade, all the characters have the pixelation of a game character from 10 or so years ago..... and the voice acting and character dialog was just so bad, no character was specially unique or had a backstory you really cared about, who gives a crap if you have a "HUGE expansive world" if the story is shyte and lacks impact

in my opinion, starfields ending does NOT pay off at all.

I was a cyberpunk lover since the game came out. Yes it was a mess, but I still had a good time with the gameplay and story. After I got it for PC I had an even better time. The 1.6 update felt perfect and then the 2.0 update along with phantom liberty just made things even better. Cyberpunk is one of my all time favorite games.

That's dumb. This isn't a competition. Enjoy both games.

In cyberpunk, you don't just watch a cutscene, you participate... And the characters movements, mannerisms, facial expressions and body language,etc...are the most immersive of any game.

Playing Starfield was one of the biggest chores I've ever experienced in gaming. It is absolutely mind numbing in so many ways. As vast as an ocean, but as deep as a puddle. CyberPunk 2077 is its exact opposite.

It totally depends on how much time you are actually spending playing games per day and what titles do you play; in my case it is worth to purchase some of the titles at a discount, as the time to finish one title is pretty huge; you can find titles at 3$ or 10$, which takes 3 months or more to finish. If you play expensive titles and a high number of hours per day ( 3+ hours), than PC game pass is really a great value for money. The good part is that Microsoft let`s you cancel the subscription at any time, and even returns the value of the remaining days until next bill.

Bethesda is probably one of the biggest pos publishers out there dont get me wrong but i never understood the cyberpunk glazing. Its a fun and beautiful game, sure but this was a steaming pile of garbage at release and for months after. Literally both of these games are the same brand of bullshit but people are so complacent that they let cdpr live when they honestly should have suffered for that. Starfield doesnt have a chance to make the same level of changes but lets be honest here, you let this shit slide guaranteed.

And the powers suck

Cyberpunk was bad at launch because of studio drama basically, and it bounced back and literally to the moon because CD could not tolerate making a sub standard game. Starfield is bad because Bethesda just doesn't care about making games, and they're banking on their fanbase accepting any old trash they toss out.

Similar experience, but in my case, I played through Starfield multiple times. While playing I thought I LOVED it! Admittedly, I thought the main storyline, was the weakest point. Sure, the powers you get later. than you played, are cool and all, but not really anything that MAKES the game. Eventually, I played through enough times that my mind began to ask what game I wanted to play next. Being a LONG time gamer (since '85) I knew that was a sign it was time to move on. I had seen the amazing trailers of Cyberpunk, and thought they looked amazing, so I decided to give it a try. The game IMMEDIATELY hooks you in! I knew, within less than an hour, this was going to be epic! Every aspect of the game, from graphics, to the best soundtrack I have EVER heard, to how the game plays, everything, made Starfield seem about as engaging as single word story! Cyberpunk is objectively a better game in EVERY regard! Right now I am at the end of my second playthrough and I already have fears about what I could possibly play next.

Fav game so far for the last few years

I love both games. I used to think starfield suck because of these comparison videos. I tried the game. I didn’t like it and thought it was disappointing. But then I gave it a chance because I heard you will like when you spend time with, so now that I gave it a chance, I really like it there is so many thing to do more that expected. Both games suffered so much by these TH-cam video and other social media but I want you guys who haven’t played them because you heard it were bad, try those games that people on the internet tried to make them look bad for the views, and you might love.

Starfield is shit. I didn’t even bother with it.

I played Starfield for 200 hours. Most of those hours I was building my ships and my outposts and not doing the story. Really wish I was told to do the story first instead of enjoy myself, because now I don’t really want to move forward due to all the work I put into my stuff. So for now I don’t get to enjoy the interesting story. I also had an issue where I had to be careful about my saves. I could end up losing them due to my Xbox apparently not having enough room for saves despite Starfield being the only game on my Xbox. It was a headache. But I did have fun, yet got so bored near the end. And yes Starfield is a space exploration game, but No Man Sky does it better. Starfield needed to be like Fallout or Skyrim. Speaking of those two, they are far more exciting to play than Starfield. Skyrim is just an amazing game with so much fun you can have. And Fallout, especially with the tv show, is worth playing around with. Being a sarcastic asshole in Fallout makes it worth at least a few playthroughs. And they have mods as well. Starfield will have mods eventually, but the core gameplay loop is just so uninteresting to me that I don’t think I’ll care by then.

When cp2077 i raked 200 hours, but job and research deployed me to the middle of fuckin nowhere, after all finished i played it again for another 200 hours, then the PL dropped so i play again till my laptop dead for 3 times (reballing and shit like that).

I liked some of the missions in star field I liked most of the missions in cyberpunk But all of cyberpunks missions feel alive I can't say the same about star field

...have over 80 hours in Starfield because I sunk-cost-fallacy-d myself into thinking MAYBE it gets better, maybe this drivel of a story has some point to it... ...nope, no it does not. The story makes no bloody sense and falls apart the second you think a bit about it, there are no answers, the characters could be replaced with cardboard that just has some info written on it and you'd have the same experience, there is too little real handcrafted stuff for a smaller fallout game, never mind a thousand bloody planets and it would still feel empty even if they had just a singular solar system, and it is just artificially bloated with boring, empty, and uninspired biomes of copypasted random procedural generation with a laughably small pool of handcrafted places placed on random on it. ...and just to be petty: "Nasapunk" is a pretentious stupid name for a particularly boring form of retrofuturism. It also has no punk whatsoever.

I have a feeling Starfield was intended to be a very different game than what we got. You don't just make 1000 planets just so you can make a traditional Bethesda rpg

Starfield was so boring. How the fuck does anyone make space boring?? Cyberpunk deserves a sequel, I want to see what more can be done with it!
