- No Rest for the Wicked early access is here and well, there are plenty things to love about the game but one issue made me refund the game in under an hour. #norestforthewicked #pcgaming
Didn't have one crash. Dude spends a quarter of this ranting about character customization lol
I'm not even a minute into this video and I already cant take it seriously. Saying a game should be refunded because the character creator/art style isnt to your liking is pretty ridiculous.
You could see these things from screenshots and trailers for one thing. But to complain about face models in a TOP DOWN game where you will see your face maybe 0.05% of the time? Absolute idiocy.
Edit: Finished the video. And yeah, its as ridiculous as I thought it would be. Expecting perfect performance from an early access game is naive as hell. And proclaiming everyone should refund the game due to a singular negative experience (most people appear to not have any issues running it based on my searches), while also saying the gameplay is amazing, is beyond dumb. Will be clicking that "do not recommend channel" button immediately.

Fair enough. Reviewers that can't remove themselves from their own personal experience and conceive of the project in at least a somewhat objective manner don't last long.

i thought my character would look like the red haired guy in the trailer didnt know i would look like popeye before eating the spinach.. the female character looks lit tho without the face
Yeah I've had nothing game breaking yet. A few lag spots when I transition into a new area but that's it last for one second. If you like souls like games I recommend checking it out. I'm still early in though so idk what yo expect going forward but so far it's been a good experience.
The last two hotfixes stopped the crashing for me. Loving it now that it doesn't crash. Will do a follow up.
I refunded because there was no DLSS and not a single character I created would be saved on game exit. After starting 3 characters I realized this game needs some serious work even for EA.

Same. Best eary Access title I ever bought. You know you can skip this video, when they guy starts talking about the character editor of a "souls like" as if it was of any significance.
6 hours here. Not eve a single frame hitch. r7 3800x and rtx 3080... NOT a top of the line system by todays standards..

The last two hotfixes fixed stability for me. I'm gonna do another video in the interest of fairness. if I'm gonna dunk on the game I better be ready to praise it as well. And what I've played is damn fun
Agree with most of what you said, I also refunded the game, it was a disappointment.

About the character designs. I think theyre cool. The devs created their own universe with these unique characters and it adds to the fantasy genre the game is in.
They've grown on me. It was just surprising. But the NPCs/other main characters look great design wise
I have an ok PC (RTX3070) and not one crash.
My main gripe with the game is where in other ARPGs, it's about the power fantasy, in NRFTW the power fantasy has yet to be found. I'm getting killed sooo much it's affecting my enjoyment.

Very similar experience: had it crash twice within an hour, tried some troubleshooting and crashed again: refunded until performance issues resolved.
Way to pricey for a EA game, played it for 90 mins and meh, just refunded. Will get up on super sale somewhere down the line. Nothing i felt super compelled to play anymore at that price tag
Baldurs Gate 3 was $60 for EA. Most games are about $35, usually because theyre made by small studios. But plenty of them charge full price.

I never got around to making a follow up. But I'll admit that my initial take in the game was incredibly superficial and unfair considering it was early access. Anyway, thanks for the laugh. I had to see what I said at 8:35 cause I had no recollection and it made me chuckle
