There are 3 sephiroth i guess. We got jenova sephiroth doing his/her thing. Real sephiroth still stuck in ice in northern crater. And "remake" sephiroth the one with the wing.

Who's jenovaroth?
Well in the ff7 remake ultimatum, the developers said there was 4 versions of sephiroth: Og sephiroth, which is just sephiroths mind controlling the failed clones, remake sephirth (which is obviously advent children sephiroth who has come back to remake the timeline, hence the name "remake") flashback sephiroth which is just flashbacks, and the a version whom only cloud can see, which is just sephiroth planting images in clouds head. Like the first appearance of him in chapter 1 when he mocks cloud by repeating clouds mother's dying words to him. The devs haven't actually confirmed that remake is a sequal to AC yet, but come on 😂😂
I sure hope not. . . it's waaaaay too confusing. On top of that, the possibility that these are different things, who are just in his disguise makes this a laughable character :/

Damn, i only get 9 days, but hopefully, 9 days should be good enough to hit the end of story even if not enough time to platinum this sumuvabitch.
At minimum there are two separate Sephiroths.
There is Sephiroth, who is "dead" but harrassing Cloud in his mind as a means of rebirth. He knows who Cloud is, and will frequently almost compulsively say Cloud's name. He is taunting, manipulative, talkative. Once he earns his freedom from Fate, he begins to use Oure to refer to himself in Japanese, symbolising a return to some humanity and true self. He requires a wing to fly. He will use fighting stances, he is a trained fighter, he will evade and block.
And there is Jenovaroth, who is Jenova inhabiting black cloaked figures. She refers to itself as Watashi; genderless, formal, Ethereal, a pronoun used to give royal or godly decrees, or used by a CEO that's about to layoff 75% of the company and ruin thousands of lives. She is encountered in the Shinra building in two bodies, #49 Marco in Sector 7's slums, and #2 'This Guy Are Sick' from Sector 5's slums. She doesn't speak often, will NOT refer to Cloud by name, and does not need a wing to fly unlike the real Sephiroth. She can also phase through objects in the original game. When confronted with Cloud who is hearing the call of Jenova, Jenova-roth says "Don't deny me (Jenova). Embrace me (Jenova)." Jenova-roth moves in a sort of possessed human in a trance, doesn't bother with fighting stances, walks as if the world doesn't exist, and it doesn't care. It probably wouldn't even evade attacks, because frankly, why bother? Most can't get through the fear of the hallucinations it emits to actually pull the trigger or successfully attack it. On the cargo ship in the OG when confronted with Cloud, it asks "Who are you?" Because it honestly doesn't know, and probably couldn't care less.
One can strongly argue that there is a third Sephiroth, which is the first but displaced in time, as there is a Sephiroth at the edge of creation holding the planet still in a Stop spell, and manipulating its memories thereby attempting to alter the past. Which then means that the one at the northern crater is a different, time appropriate Sephiroth..
Which part of OG do we get confirmation that jenovaroth is real?
@@CAeuJohno123thats note by anytime u fight Jenova, ur met by Sephiroth first and after the fight, a piece of Jenova is left behind.
But the devs themselves in words, state the sephiroth is in control of jenova through the main OG game. Its the jenover boners that can't seem to accept that jenova isn't the main bad guy. It's like yall want sephirth to be the good guy, when he's not. A theory is just a theory, unless stated by the devs themselves. If its not made clear in the game, then its just a theory
@@CAeuJohno123The main game takes place 5 years later, after Sephiroth has been in possession of its head for 5 years. Even then, Remake shows us that Jenova still has its own thoughts; the black cloaked figures in Remake in the Shinra HQ building... don't know who Cloud is, just that he is one of them. Even in the Ultimania Omega, "Jenova frees itself." Listen to the conversations from Jenova-Roth.
Cloud has been getting visions, mention's mother, and upon seeing the body, Cloud is starting to relapse. #49 says "Don't deny me. Embrace me." This isn't something Sephiroth would say. And if he did, Sephiroth would say "Cloud."
In the Rebirth trailer, Sephiroth warns Cloud of what Jenova can do, while holding a piece of Jenova, and nearby a black cloaked that turned into a Jenova hallucination; this is the scene where Jenova-Roth in the original game says "Who are you?" "Sephiroth, don't you recognize me? I'm Cloud."
Jenova's black robed figures can fly without a wing if they hold enough of her, Sephiroth cannot (as we don't really see him hold her aside from the head, and at that time he didn't learn how to fly yet.)
And even then, it seems to be depicted as more of a struggle in the compilation. Angeal almost fell to it, as even his honor wasn't enough. Genesis used his obsession with the poem to fight it. Sephiroth...in the Nibelheim incident, Sephiroth had nothing to fight it with...or any will to do so.
In Advent Children, he still wants to do what mother wants the moment he gets a body, where in the novel his desires are completely different, when he doesn't have a body, or influence from her.
By Dirge.. Sephiroth lost, and Jenova won. Jenova's other puppets in Deep Ground effectively doomed the world, eliminating any hope for the planet's Rebirth so once it dies, it's permanent. The only way to undo that, is to undo the events immediately after Zack's death -- which was stage one (Before Crisis) and take place largely in Sector 5 with Avalanche HQ; as the avalanche second in command will betray the leader and summon the World Ender ("They say the World is Ending" ~ Elmyra), which will heavily influence Weiss's schemes during Dirge..
Also a fun fact. OG bombing mission takes place December 9th, 0007, according to every timeline spreadsheet made for the compilation. Remake's bombing mission takes place December 12th, 0007, according to Remake World Preview. 3 days late...
@@CAeuJohno123 As for this, the way Jenova speaks. Before the English translation "cut the bullshit", Jenovaroth had a very specific way of speaking. Jenova, which means "God new" or New God, speaks in a very God-like manner. One in which no depiction of Sephiroth has ever recreated in English, unfortunately. In Rebirth they showcase it by the trance-like position, the shadow pulling Sephiroth's invisible leash in the basement, and the uncanny valley.. The awkward heaving phase.. is written on the script to be a mental tug of war between the 'alien influences' and Sephiroth at his lowest point. Then the flashes of Jenova in the same positions and poses as Sephiroth, are indications that she has taken over. Freeze frame Sephiroth and go frame by frame after the shadow grasps the air behind Sephiroth's head, on the closeup.
Also in Crisis Core, Angeal said the visions were giving him the desire to murder everything he sees.. And Genesis...murdered everyone in his hometown except for one person.
12:12 it wasn't Jenova in control. Who did the pieces of Jenova look like? Me that's who. She was a shape shifter and yet always took my form and said what I wanted her to say... Because I was running the show from my arrival in the Northern Crater onwards.

@@PlayerVersusGame No can do buddy. There's a fan fiction where I'm the father of Klee in Genshin Impact and traveling through the Life Stream is a gateway between worlds. Cloud has to kill me or I have to destroy Gaia to access the Life Stream and return to my daughter because we don't want Alice to be a single mother anymore... She's kinda irresponsible 😂

I also held on to the theory that if Remake is a stealth sequel to Advent Children, then there may be two Sephiroths in the Remake timeline. One from after Advent Children after being defeated by Cloud again, and one currently in the Northern Crater. Because believe it or not, Sephiroth was not that interested in Cloud until midway during the OG. Here from the start, Sephiroth was always ready to whisper in Cloud's ear and ruin his day. That obsession we see in him with Cloud only came in full force in Advent Children, where he made screwing with Cloud a priority rather than destroying the world. It's character development that appeared immediately which is why I held on to that theory.
The Ultimania describes 4 different Sephiroths
Illusion - The Phantom Sephiroth that only Cloud sees
Black Cloak - The Sephiroth that appears via the black-cloaked men
Recollection - The Sephiroth of the past
Black robe - Appears via the black-robed men
? - Not the black-cloaked men, but a Sephiroth that is recognizable to everyone else
I think sephiroth is a good guy and they'll team up with cloud to beat jenova (the ultimate bad guy). That's why he asked him for his help.
Yes. And i think the plot ghost are the will of jenova who is in control of the planet this whole time.
@@phrofile3613geostigma people were never fully cured outside Midgar so it’s been a problem for time after AC. I’m not surprised if it’s manipulating the Planet that even Aerith gets confused. Can’t wait for this game though maybe I’m overhyping a meh story.

The Barret dying part I dont see it often mentioned in videos... I think its far more important than people think. Seeing the ghosts keeping him alives makes me worried about Aerith fate in Rebirth. But at the same time... Maybe she can also fight them like Sephiroth did and prevent the events on this timeline? Or... some other character takes Aerith's place and dies instead of her in this timeline. Eitherway, can't wait for Rebirth! Good video btw.
Thank you! When the game launched few years ago and I saw him die I lost my mind. The sigh of relief i let out when I saw him get up. I think that the end of remake open things up so that anything csn happen now
The whole point of destiny's crossroad is to be free of Whisper's/fate's influence. Aerith's scene is going to be special cuz nothing is set now. It's a Schrödinger's cat scenario atm

Oh if you only knew how many I say to myself "does this make sense?" As I record these videos. I've literally had to stop and re shoot some segments because I read a thing that disproved something I was gonna say.
I get the feeling that the Sephiroth you see in the flames after the bombing mission would be the remake timelines "Jenovaroth" that we could expect to see in any particular moment from the original game. In the very next scene where we meet Aerith the Sephiroth that stops time and exclaims that cloud is too weak to save anyone, is the real Sephiroth from the original timeline. I noticed this during my recent playthrough. The first Sephiroth is encouraging cloud to keep moving forward (getting the black materia) and the second one taunts him as if he is letting him know all his efforts will be in vain.

Yea you and others are 100% correct, I was more so quoting the presentation in the virtual entertainment hall where it says they were wiped out by a meteor. Question, was the meteor jenova arriving?

One question I had was about why S is so obsessed with Cloud. I know Hojo was crazy about him but what about Sephiroth?
Also Project G producen Angeal, right? Lucretia gave birth to Sephiroth with whos cells? Was it from Project G or Jenova directly?

I mean from the title alone and thumbnail I can tell you that you’re wrong because the ultimana from Nomura literally states the sephiroth that is in remake is the same exact one from advent children which was the same one in og as well.

I say there are 2 sephiroth and one jenova who mimics sephiroths appearance like in the original back then.
One sephiroth is the present one in the north crater. and one is from an unknown future who tried to alter everything.
Theoretically the present one controls jenova the whole time but maybe its now the future one who is in control. Therefore the unexpected jenova fight in the shinra tower. Present sephiroth had no intend to start this fight...
Maybe Zack must defeat the future sephiroth and sacrifice himself to revert back the Timeline for cloud to defeat the present sephiroth... 😵💫

There were 2 sephiroth in the original game... the 1 cloud killed as a kid.. and the clone they see all the way until you find the original sephiroth in the northern crater

I always thought it would have made way more sense to give us a completely new character/antagonist. Retconning an entire franchise, just so you can get in a mildly famous villain is an incredibly sketchy move.
Moreover, excecuting said famous character in such a poor way really doesn't make this idea worth it :/
There as many as Square wants. Maybe they will Aerith get pregnant from Sepiroth who knows everything is possible in this Remake
