I started my handyman career without any experience. I learned everything I know through research and youtube. This line of work is not about knowing how to do something. It's about the willingness to learn. Get over the fear you can't do something and you will succeed at anything you set your mind to.

Business?? I highly doutb you have a legit business. No business registration, no license, no ein, no insurances. Just a regular joe blow handyman hack.
Awesome video,GOD BLESS
Preventative ideas to do before things get slow: *Accumulate assets( things that will make you money) ex. Vehicles for renting out, tools for renting out, space for renting out, etc. * Save money. * Start a aide hustle
It took me and my buddy 12 hours in 1 day to install this same gazebo in 115 degree weather. Me and him are both experienced installers and were expecting it to take us maybe 5 hours max . Boy were we wrong lol , definitely up charging for the next one . And peeling that blue skin on the sheets took way too much time
lol
Where are you located? We just bought the gazebo and need it assembled. I live near Reading, PA
Set the drill to hammer we've all done it lol
an interesting idea for a repair. I like to use those wire brush cups to remove old solder from pipes that hook up to a drill they make it nice and clean to solder or use other fittings.
Yes, you can repair the cut, but if you had done a little research, you'd found that you didn't have to do that. Pretty much all tub inserts/vanity covers are simply held together with caulking/bonding of some sort.
I just love when blow and go's build something in a way that it seems they decided no problem would ever arise down the line.
I'm having trouble getting the fourteen foot roof panel square.Any suggestions
Use clamps to bring it together
No insulation?
you are a wannabe handyman. front panel comes off. you might have to move the vanity no big deal. next you needed to use a different faucet. you dont cut the support of the tub. it had single handles and spout so use a single handle and spout.
thank you
I have a faucet that is located on the upstairs, and to access it, I would have to pull the tub or go through an exterior wall. Is there any easier way to repair this type of faucet?
you can access it from the bottom floor ceiling
Thanks!
Plumber is very expensive these days and most of the problems are caused by building inspectors. That should have never happened.
Hack
In order to give context to the price, it would be helpful to know what specific market or what kind of market you are in. With $1350 you are losing money in New York, but maybe over-charging in some rural market.
Man, I got fibreglass powder all over watching this video.
@@rickcinway2312 it's not fiberglass it's actually marble dust mixed with styrene epoxy.
Dude that looks 😍
Being that the bottom of the 3 cabinets on the right was the same height, you could've put a board under them, 2x4 or 4x4 and jacked them up from the middle as 1 unit & then another jack for the cabinet on the left (maybe a board under there too). Either way you did a good job & that looked like a frustrating pain in the a Nice job dude !!
I thought about that but the dilemma I had was the cabinets tilting forward. Having the jacks inside the cabinets kept them against the wall.
@@utubehandyman maybe the board could have been in the front or middle ? Just something so you wouldn't have so manyu jacks to wrangle I'm just thinking out loud. Would you have done anything different looking back now?
@@TheAxecutioner yes more jack stands would have helped lol. But yes thought about the wood on bottom but I would have needed more jacks. Reason I didn't do it that way. It worked out in the end lol.
Great job. I'm very talented like yourself but I would have never tackled this job especially alone. You get an a+
finding helpers is such a hassle I work alone most times.
It's not that a plumber couldn't do this, they just don't want to because it involves some extra work
Looks so frustrating
Idk I would have just piped around the support now you risk a crack with your warranty labor.
if it cracks I'll buy them a new tub.
Mold there’s dangerous mold spores everywhere in there omg
just hold your breath
😅 you made a mess Bro. That whole panel is the access panel 😂 Made your work looks expensive and ruin the panel with an ugly hole with a cover😂
Bro I'd like to see you take that panel off. The hole is beautiful, I don't know what you're talking about
No!!!! don’t cut it just remove the caulk
I do fix those are tub tile like a tick granite they have always access to fix that tub faucet the whole piece is removable
That was the problem, I really like working, using my hands however because I didnt want the job to slip I always try to make my price lower compared to others as a handyman, as well as thinking about how much profit I'm going to make. Thats what is keeping me counting in the same spot. Its really hard for me i have a family and two kids make pray for me.❤
I've learned over the years that approach will only attract customers who will not appreciate your work and are always looking for the cheapest price. You may have to suffer a bit but do not be the cheapest unless you REALLY need to make ends meet. Quality customers will come with time. Have faith friend.
@@utubehandyman Thank you for your inspirational kind words
I had this problem with the Delta system all I did was buy a new trim kit went from chrome to antique bronze no plumbing required!
Ok help a girl out! I’m getting ready to switch out the trim on my tub, and it’s a Jacuzzi that they literally TILED in with no access that I can find. What did you do to just change the trim without diving into any of the plumbing?
Florida is loaded with cultered marble tubs like this. The front panel comes off. Cut the caulk join. There is always a possibility the panel will break. Especially if it had a hair line crack when first installed........ive done hundreds of these in south west Florida....... that repair panel looks like ASS!!!!!!!! And how do you think the moen faucet got intalled in the first place????. It wasnt installed on the tub before it was set. DUH!!!!
magic, that's how it was installed
I’ve noticed two things. you weakened the structure by cutting that “ridge”, ( maybe the whole bathtub is sturdy enough) you placed an access panel when (maybe with two more hours of work) you could have taken off the hole front panel. So yes, you made the job and it is not bad, but there is room for improvement.
the whole front panel is the support for the tub it is all molded together how are you going to take it off and have tub stay up?
The tub is on framing. Theses walls aren’t structural.
That's utube for you make you fuk something up
Wtf!😂 I’m sorry my guy but this was horrible. Definitely not a professional way of doing this type of repair…folks please don’t think this was the correct way 🤦♂️ Love the video though
Boy that will look like shit !!!
Glue 3 more panels along the skirt and give it that decorative look
Where ever you are in this video, is there a maximum you can charge PER job as a handyman? Where I live it's $500 per job and it has to be completed in one attempt, not multiple attempts at $500 each time. Many people don't know that here.
I'm a licensed contractor my limit is 50k per project. But as a regular handyman, 1k is the limit in my area.
@@utubehandyman you're one of the smart ones to have a license. Where I live, if a customer is unhappy about a job, they can literally not pay and the handyman has no recourse without a contractor's license. We learned that from a judge in small claims court.
Front comes off!
I'd love for you to make a video doing just that
Yes the front panel can come off but looking at this situation . It was the best cost solution
Tough time. I guess that bigger tiles might be easier?
Never could understand why people make things like this so inaccessible. It's just a matter of time before the faucet will need some maintenance.
great work
Very nice job young man.
...and you had already addressed the name issue. Please ignore my prior comment.
i ended up keeping it, too much work to change it now lol.
They could have 3 squares in the front to make it decorative. The hoses were kinked a bit tight. I would have used longer hoses and looped.
We need to come up with a different title for those like you who do Handyman+ work. To many people believe the word "handyman" means the neighborhood nice guy will do the work for small dollars. We have plumbers, electricians, contractors who people consider to be "professional". We need a single word that best describes professional handypeople. Chatgpt offered up Tradesman, Craftsman, Technician...what are your thoughts?
Bro took forever to get to the point
Why did u cut the corner gusset. It is part of the tub structure. Just lengthen the pipe
umm no. I would've had to take the assembly off and lengthen all 3 pipes not just the one.
What kind of wrench did you use? Link?
Basin wrench.
Yeah bro, that whole side your cutting on is a access panelwhole thing ehpuld pop off thats how there made
