Handyman work is hard work. A lot of details and specific parts and tight spaces. Plus heavy lifting and dirty. I always try and do work myself but whenever I do it’s difficult and I never do a good job compared to hiring a handyman

The comment about people not wanting to work is so aggravating. Just joined a pre-apprenticeship program, the unions throw up a million barrier to entry to allow for full employment, people that work privately want experience and offer starvation wages. Even the program I'm in spends half the time preaching about showing up on time and how it's all about connections, but doesn't offer night classes so people can work during the day and transition into the trades. The industry made itself hard to get into on purpose.
