The problem i think would arise for alot of other great Manhwa like SSS Class Suicide Hunter, Greatest Estate Developer, Return Of The Blossoming Blade, Academy's Undercover Professor (this one might be able to grab attention regardless because Spy isn't that mainstream of a genre)

Even in a world with magic where the nobles have everything, human tends to want more and ambition don't stop just because magic exists. I don't see why there wouldn't be scientific research just because you have powerful magic. Many rulers or nobles would want to gain advantage over their competition and paranoia would also drive them into trying to find ways to block magic so that wizards couldn't harm them. So I don't buy the argument that just because there exist powerful magic and nobles have everything that it would change them to not strive for more. Humans have always been competitive and war have almost always been the biggest driving factor for scientific advancement which doesn't make sense that it would change even in a world with magic. Greed or anger would make kings or emperors go to war against other kingdoms or nobles fighting other nobles which would spur technological development to gain an advantage over the other. If you manage to find a way to block magic or defend against it makes you now need weapons that can counter the anti magic troops and so on. There could also be regulation between nations that high class magicians aren't allowed to participate in wars because it's to destructive. I also see you know very little about the cultivation world, yes some world are like what's explained in this story but you never mention population. The average world population of a cultivation planet ranges in the tens of billions into trillions and there is often times different worlds like small worlds which can hold billions more and then we have higher planes which holds a lot more people. Large sects in the lower realms can have tens of thousands of disciples and reach over 100,000, higher realms probably in the millions. How they can reach such numbers of people in an ancient world is beyond me and I think it's just that Chinese authors loves to add big numbers to sound impressing, could also be some kind of aura which could be called mana that strengthens the body and allow a lot more crops to be made faster, used in some cultivation stories as the explanation to how to grow large amount of crops. China also brags how superior their ancient medical knowledge are and how superior they are to modern knowledge and even if it was far ahead over other medical knowledge at the time just murders endangered species today. You seem to think that nuclear knowledge would be devastating, the average cultivator that have left the lowest plane could probably withstand nuclear explosions and the radiation. Cultivators of that grade also have far more devastating spells and techniques then a nuke spell and they have formations and items that could easily block such an attack. A high enough cultivator could even on the lower planes destroy a country easily. With so many humans, it doesn't make sense to me why the worlds could be stagnant for tens of thousands of years, a cultivator can go into seclusion for a few thousand years and the world would look the same as when they went in, plus minus some sects or country's. Also, not many cultivators give a crap about mortals and just don't bother with them more then the average evil cultivator taking their life force or sacrificing them. The only time they care about a mortal would be if they had a good physic and spiritual root (potential for how far you can reach as a cultivator). So I don't see much reason why development of science would stagnate for such periods of time and technology being basically standstill for millions of years and all the world looking like being on the same technological level. Cultivators also don't use the same resources as we use more then if a plant would evolve into a spiritual plant. So there wouldn't be a fight over iron deposit, copper deposit and so on. Cultivators usually don't do anything for the mortals more if they sell their services to powerful families or decide to help when passing by, many cultivators also holds a disdain for mortals. So very few mortals actually see a cultivator in their entire lifetime and they don't have the help of magic to help them, so I don't understand how worlds with billions to trillions of people totally stagnate in technology and stay with the same technology for thousands to millions of years.

I think this anime started trend of gamified world for gods entertainment genre. Like how solo leveling did with necromancer. And despite so many anime copying so many tropes from this manhwa it still feels unique.

Sim, há muitos tropos de personagens sem originalidade, mas o problema não é isso, e sim a cultura chinesa, não, asiática, de não aceitar o novo ou o esperimental, tem vários manhuwas que tentam algo novo, e no começo é bom, mas próprio público não aceita as mudanças, então o mc inteligente e perspicaz logo se tona um fodão generico, o vilão que só quer viver a sua vida se torna obsecado em destruir o mundo e as mulheres nem me fale, se alguma ousa ter algum traço de personalidade ela se torna algo pior uma prostituta (como ela ousa lutar pelos seu próprios objetivos? Ela TEM QUE SER DOIDA PELO MC e nada alem disso) Os jovens leitores e editoras não deixam nada original continuar. Esse é o real problema desse gênero.

im sorry but a first chapter will obviously have subtentially more likes then the latest one as people might not have kept up with it due to reason. You might want to compare the ratio with other known manhwua(?)

ORV is in my opinion meant to be 'read' the more visual elements are added, the worse it becomes. In my opinion the novel was the best version of orv, So yeah i don't exactly look forward to the anime but it might help in boosting orv's popularity so its all good for me

It took such a ridiculous turn. At first, I thought I was going to watch a personal transformation about someone who was fat and bullied. Good thing I stopped at chapter 80! What nonsense! Instead of just shooting someone like Gun with a gun and ending it, they send 500 people to attack him. The series started with an interesting concept, exploring the experiences of characters from different social and physical statuses. Now, it's dead-turned into some absurd, over-the-top action where everyone just fights each other. One person leaves, another comes, and then someone else. The presence of these characters is completely illogical, just brought in for the sake of a fight scene.

Orv has serious pacing problems that’s a major part of drops

I started watching anime at age 14 and ecchi anime at age 25. It's not about age whatsoever but about your outlook and what you want to experience at the time. Wanting your hobby to be ''taken seriously'' by NPC's and the most satanic and d3ranged people on the planet (twitter users), wasn't a good thing, and we are all still paying the price. I'm watching for the first time High School DxD (season 2). Ecchi anime is a celebration of femininity and of young women in particular, which is something you will NOT see anywhere else in the world at that level of production and polish. Plus, ecchi is simply a subset of romance most of the time, you calling all those ecchi animes ''the same'' just means you don't really care about the genre ''ecchi'' is glued to, as ecchi is almost always the cream of the pie.

I thought the same thing, but I still hope that the orv fandom can spread the word and carry this anime on its back to get a sequel

It's hard to really compare them when ORV is leagues above Solo-leveling once you read both of them. ORV, at face value, is a power fantasy where every win is earned and all threats match that power accordingly like an arms race. A more in-depth look at ORV makes it not just a metanarrative about a reader making the ending he wants in his favorite story, but the relationship of a reader to a story, its characters, and its author with some commentary on things that could only exist when written in words. Solo Leveling is just a power fantasy done well. One of the best in its genre, but doesn't step out of that genre and doesn't have much to say that isn't for the sake of entertainment.

When you're dying, your brain releases all its dopamine at once to ease the pain, and to focus its resources in order to avoid it shutdowns. Meaning every "Self-Insert Isekai" story could very much so just be the main character hallucinating an entire reincarnated life in their final breath, as they got hit by truck-kun or whatever they died of.

The views going down doesn’t mean much since all webtoon views decrease as episodes continue to release, but I do agree with the first season not being on par with later content. That being said, I still enjoyed the first part of the story and I think anime viewers will as well as long as they don’t go into it with preconceived expectations

gintoki's fight against takasugi in gintama has to be the best fight ever just because of how emotional it is. especially when the series had been building up for that moment for over 300 episodes

I was going to say that a slow start will only filter out some people, but a whole season… Eh, there are shows that have slow seasons that keep viewers. Not to mention that fans will watch it and tell others that it’s a slow start, but picks up steam. Word of mouth is a powerful thing

The story...is dark... goblin slayer levels of dark. One season or two most people who like that kind of thing should have a good time regardless. It getting better later does not mean it's $#!+ now.

The same thing happened to chainsaw man, I had high hopes for the anime cause I heard so much about the manga but it legit felt like nothing happened in those 12 episodes.

Personally I'm waiting a few months before reading more of OR, I'd like to read an entire arc at once so yeah, the latest episodes don't have my views and likes (yet). But also I think it's normal for webtoon views to fall off dramatically after the first episodes so I don't think it's that worrisome. Fingers crossed that the anime will be good enough to capitalize on the hype that still exists about this story.

hahahahha well desevered drop in readers honestly japan must be in really deep gutter to keep adapting mediocre works from KR it could have been a mediocre but okay work with good character writings but the author decided to shit on it by making the story needlessly convoluted near the end i dropped reading the webnovel after i glimpsed at the side story where the author killed off Kim (again) but this time having the big bad guy from the early subway replaced him because of convoluted space-time altering shenanigan the only thing i look foward to omniscient reader anymore is seeing the genderbend version of a certain "sunfish"

I dont think even manhwa only readors really get how much ORV gets better as you read it, because the manhwa STILL IS on the building stage!! Personally I see the arc we are right now as the last "building" one, after we get some more BIG world building then we REALLY get to see shit go down. Most complaints I see from manhwa readers are dealt with later into the story. And while thats one of the biggest qualities of the novel, the way it builds itself in such a good and fun way, and in the end hits you with the absolute destruction of a steel chair that is the ending + epilogue, I do think it will also hurt the anime, like a LOT. Not only because of what was said in the video, as people will drop the anime for finding it repetitive or unoriginal, but because in today's market I find it hard to see a studio making such a long, multiple seasons show. I really fear what might be cut, as it might not seem but SO MUCH of what a manhwa only reader might think is filler IS NOT, and is actually important to really solidifying the steel chair of it's conclusion. Either way, i WILL use the anime as a gateway drug to get others to read the novel, so I do win either way >:))
