Yes!I read it and i beg u never read it ever again!!Just the recent Chpt and there was another Pillow fight scene with varying weight classes between a Pervert and an Object and dear god how did the writer created a Good smart a** Aizen-ish Character and Managed to Kill them in the most sh*tty way Possibe only The God beyond the Void may know.
Once the brother died (IMO randomly) I finally realized what this manga was about. Nothing. There is no underlying plot that matters, any character that has a name is going to die with some orifice torn open. No one will have anything good happen to them without it immediately being drenched with torture. There is no moral like "revenge is bad" or " surviving the worst of life is worth it" its just the author making up different ways someone's life can suck. I'm not against gore or dark themes (for those interested in a good story that uses SA look up 'I am an Addict' it at least has something to say) but when its nonsensical and gives me nothing to think about. it just pure trash.
Pretend you never saw this, it's really not worth it, the first 87 chapters are a cycle of him killing 4 of the 5 bullies/perpetrators and the remaining chapters repeat that same exact cycle, story literally had to be forced to continue past 87 chapters and even then it was still only a 3/10 before becoming repetitive and drop to a 2/10. I'm a hate reader of this and read it specifically so I can comment on how bad it is so that the edgy teenager community that can't stop singing it's praises doesn't ensnare more people to read it, so take it from me and don't bother with it.
Oh waaait, I forgot all about this manga. I think I read the first 20-25 chapters then never picked it back up again. I got sick and tired of the author using the r4pe/attempted SA of the female characters to motivate the MC further. How were they able to squeeze 100+ chapters from this premise alone?
Literally same. My friend recommended it to me and I dropped it just as quickly. I explained to him that all of the senseless SA was just there for shock value and was disgusting.
This is why i dislike bully revenge mangas/manhwas They usually follow the same brutal and mindless killings, gore ect for no reason other then to make the mc have an excuse for brutally killing and torturing the bullies That is why i would much rather read smthn like HxH cuz it somewhat shows how much revenge can make you a monster and how it harms yourself as well
Sad part is how right you are, I found it a couple months ago and binged all they way to Shun going back to his home town stopping when Mr Consent made his return - if you've read it you know exactly who I mean - but even then that is not the bottom of the barrel (not defending this mess by any means, I just saying I found more ridiculous series) case in point, there is "The Hero Who Seeks Revenge Shall Exterminate With Darkness" and "Pumpkin Night" both of which I wouldn't. Out of the two I can at least give Pumpkin Night some leeway cause it's based off slasher horror movies and the art it quite good...and detailed. But the Hero one is pretty much edgy revenge slop with Dragon Ball Z levels of escalation.
This is what I call "car crash writing." An author who lacks the capability to make some compelling in and of itself resorts to taking advantage of people's natural morbid curiosity (something that evolved to keep us safe) by just shoving gruesome stuff in so that people are compelled to find out what happens even if they don't actually enjoy it.

The entire community is filled with Edgelords, it's not worth it brother/sister, the community will always say it's amazing or it's the best thing they have ever read but those guys have no taste and no defence for anything that happens so don't fall for what they say or the premise of this story, it's not worth it.

A cruel revenge story can be fun once in a while. The thing is, no matter how vile you make the protagonist's actions, you do have to give them some emotional anchor point. Something for the audience to empathize with even after seeing the most gruesome imagery put to paper. I'm geussing apart from chapter one, this story does not do that.
We don't usually like seeing awful people do awful things (there's quite enough of that in real life, thank you very much). You can have brutal protagonists, but for that to work he either needs to have a sympathetic cause (most vigilante stories take this route, by having him seek revenge on a villain who's legally untouchable), or at least he needs to be going up against people who are worse than him. Nobody really wants to read about Evil McEvilface hurting decent people for no good reason.
@CantusTropus generally, you don't try to get revenge on decent people. That's part of the difficulty of the genre. How grimdark can you make it and have your audience still stomach it?

They said it’s the greatest revenge manga it’s not even close hell it’s not even a good revenge manga best Japanese work in revenge is count mont cristo anime based on the western novel crazy how it’s in the freaking space instead of old france with many changes yet it’s the most faithful best adaptation the novel ever got highly recommend both

I'll be real with this one. Imo this one was painfully boring. It was so damn repetitive that it was practically a slog to get through. You think with such a concept it would have at least been interesting but like damn who let them cook?
Thats not even the bad part. The bad part is the garbage amnesia arc. I think the first 50 chapters were fine. I think not every story needs to have fully fleshed out characters, especially when its a manga like this which whole point is to be edgy. 90% of twists are "YES i AM actually this EVIL". I just wish the author didnt make the character popular with the ladies. Its really distracting from the overall point

Maria No Danzai is better. It's similar but more down to earth. Less extreme and I feel like the character writing for the mc makes them feel more pitiable not just for the reason behind her killing but what she sacrifices to actually get it done. Also while there is some suspension of disbelief there's actual realism. The mc isn't some godly genius she makes mistakes that leads to a plot point where the police, her, and her enemies all race to recover a piece of evidence that exposes her. It's good I recommend in place of this.

He rapes a girl, oh yeah, that is clever. The girls are just plot devices to be raped. If you compare it to goblin slayer, where rape also occurs more often, goblin slayer has female Characters who accomplish something. It is, at least for me, a desperate attempt to be edgy. The main character is also badly written, you don't feel as empathetic as you should. Even other (considered) bad manga like dead tube do a better job with their Characters. The evil main guy seems to be unbelievable, especially considering his age for doing his crimes.. he has to be the baddest of them all, because he just has to. Why is he so strong? What are his motives? I guess, evil just being evil and evil has to be strong..

I'll be real with this one. Imo this one was painfully boring. It was so damn repetitive that it was practically a slog to get through. You think with such a concept it would have at least been interesting but like damn who let them cook?

Thats not even the bad part. The bad part is the garbage amnesia arc. I think the first 50 chapters were fine. I think not every story needs to have fully fleshed out characters, especially when its a manga like this which whole point is to be edgy. 90% of twists are "YES i AM actually this EVIL". I just wish the author didnt make the character popular with the ladies. Its really distracting from the overall point

Maria No Danzai is better. It's similar but more down to earth. Less extreme and I feel like the character writing for the mc makes them feel more pitiable not just for the reason behind her killing but what she sacrifices to actually get it done. Also while there is some suspension of disbelief there's actual realism. The mc isn't some godly genius she makes mistakes that leads to a plot point where the police, her, and her enemies all race to recover a piece of evidence that exposes her. It's good I recommend in place of this.

I personally don't think it is just about handling something well or not. It lacks of any creative ideas. How can I make a guy look bad? He rapes a girl, oh yeah, that is clever.
The girls are just plot devices to be raped.
If you compare it to goblin slayer, where rape also occurs more often, goblin slayer has female Characters who accomplish something.
It is, at least for me, a desperate attempt to be edgy. The main character is also badly written, you don't feel as empathetic as you should.
Even other (considered) bad manga like dead tube do a better job with their Characters.
The evil main guy seems to be unbelievable, especially considering his age for doing his crimes.. he has to be the baddest of them all, because he just has to. Why is he so strong? What are his motives? I guess, evil just being evil and evil has to be strong..
