Uriah the Hittite
Uriah is a minor character in the Bible that only shows up in a few places. He is famous for being the husband of Bathsheba and murder victim of David. But what else can we know about him? When we dig into the archaeology and text of the Bible we can see two distinct versions of Uriah emerge - which one is most accurate isn't clear but we will explore who this figure may have been. Let's dig in.

Why does the art at gobekli tepi have so much in common with art from around 2200 bce? Handbags? Those type of birds? That type of stone? That area? Saying that gobekli tepi is the one piece of art that stands apart as being 70 centuries older is an extraordinary claim, especially when we have such logical reasons to date it with the rest. I just need more extraordinary evidence to believe that. Also, if you theorize that white people started civilization, the theory is trash? Isn't that racist? Lol that's not why Grahams theories are bad. Grahams theories are bad because of the Chronology, and for the fact that they rest on so many other unproven theories. The younger dryas period just gets talked about like it's a fact. This is ridiculous because scientists have 69 different theories on how ice ages themselves could even be possible. So if ice age is a theory (69 theories actually), and the younger dryas is a theory that rests on one of those theories (not sure which one exactly), then why not critique this part of his theory? Based off of all the rhetoric I heard in this video I think I know exactly why you framed it this way. Gatekeepers smh.

Any speculations on why God didn't just wipe out the Amalekites with a targeted plague or localized flood? And what's up with Moses having to hold his hands up to allow the Israelites to win in battle as described in Exodus 17? Why? It seems that God succeeded in being at war from generation to generation as conflict in the Middle East has never ceased, albeit without the Amalekites in modern times. For a creator of the universe, God sure seems to be pretty weak and powerless when it comes to things that humans care about. When he does help, it's in a substantially inefficient and impermanent way. I presume that is why all of God's promises are essentially delayed until the afterlife. He must really be powerful in that realm.

So let me get this straight, David employed the Apiru as his army so to speak. The Apiru remained with him when he ascended to the throne. Does that not imply that they became Hebrew? I'm just saying the Apiru seem to figure prominently in the "history" of Israel. How can you say they are not the same?

God cannot be tricked. He allowed it to happen because the circumcision of the firstborn is a covenant to show that you belong to God. Therefore, the bridegroom of blood. In the same way, a woman would bleed from her private parts when she becomes one with her husband because she was a virgin. Which we will all be when we repent of our sins and they are forgiven.

The Bible is not a religious book, it is simply the records of the Israelites, a Black people. Hence the reason why non black people desperately try to force themselves into it but will always fail. Ughhhh God doesn’t need someone to be exhausted, nor high, dehydrated or hallucinating to show them literal visualization of his Power. God is not weak. He can do the IMPOSSIBLE . That’s why He is GOD. Don’t downplay the power of God when He’s shown us over and over again that He is POWER itself. I think a lot of the times our carnal human brains forget that, because it’s hard for us to understand or go beyond our capacity of understanding of how things can supernaturally take place by Gods hands. So let’s lean not on our own understanding. :) BUT you have to fear God first before you can truly understand that. God even says in the Bible “The fear of God is the beginning to all wisdom”. God Bless ✨🕊️

For Edomites, Qos/Qaws could only be a name for the "god of forces" mentioned in Dan 11:38. According to the prophecy of Isaac for Esau in Genesis, Esau would live by the sword (in other words by physical force) . He would exist under Jacob until he gains the dominion and conquers the state of Israel. True Edomites from the spiritual viewpoint can be found in the fourth beast of Daniel where the 11 horns represent the 11 grandsons of Esau. This beast has not yet appeared, but is destined to be thrust into the fire. The nation of Edom will not be included within the Kingdom of Heaven. As Christ said "If you were the sons of Abraham you would do the works of Abraham." True Israelites spiritually include both Christians and Jews. Likewise, true Edomites spiritually are all those who live by the sword. The question today is which nations come closest more or less to living by the sword? This goes above and beyond matters of genealogy. Christ is concerned with the kind of spirit living within you, not your ancient ancestors. Both Titus and Timothy warn about this.

Azazel is a picture of antichrist.. sins were laid on him but he was not put to death.. he was left to roam in the wilderness.. Jesus Christ is the real scapegoat who when He dies, sin dies with Him.. Similar to Jesus Barabbas and Jesus Christ.. Barabbas aka son of God was spared while Christ was put to death.. He who tries to save his life will lose it.. he who loses His life (for Christs sake) will find it..

Also atheist here, well read in Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age Levant history. Much respect in Beneath the Bible’s tackling of history as a synthesis of parrallatic approaches from many disciplines. Also respect in your Theological aside in acknowledging writers, compilers and modern readers practicing a living theology in applying past to present and future in a hopeful framework. Question: in your theological aside, when you talk of the prophets foretelling Jesus, I know you know that this is in language tied very much to the monarchy and ultimately the Combat Myth of the Storm God triumphing over both Sea and Death. Knowing the origin and multivariate reworking of this mythologem how do you embrace it as a true story? It seems simpler to understand it as folks practicing living theology by interpreting near term events in light of the past with a hope for the future.

Great job, love your presentation 👏 Professor Kenneth Kitchen dates Joseph from around 1750 to 1650 at the very latest. If one takes the text literally then Joseph is riding in a chariot and horses are introduced into Egypt during the Hyksos period. If we take the patriarch narrative literal then Abraham maybe in a time period close to the Bene Hassan tombs. In which the fresco has no indication of horses.. of course this is only a hypothesis and speculation.
