Lions, the Gods, and Ancient Israel

Lions were endemic to the Ancient Near East including in ancient Israel. In this video we build on part 1 that looked at lions as threats, their association with kings, and as guards and today we'll look at lions links with the gods and how ancient Israel did, and did not, borrow from their neighbors symbolic world with lions. These two episodes are just an overview and there is a ton of other material we didn't cover.
