The "Jezebel Seal:" Fact or Fiction?

Jezebel was the Phoenician Queen of Ahab of Israel. She has a reputation of being decadent and sinful from her portrayal in the Bible. Today we explore if we have actual, tangible, evidence of her existence - or not. A personal seal was donated to a museum which may have her name on it. Some scholars have suggested the iconography is fitting for a queen and suggested this is the personal seal of Jezebel. Others are not so sure. While this debate is not new it is nevertheless interesting and today we'll walk through the arguments for and against this being the seal of Queen Jezebel. Let's dig in.
