Awesome review! Love how you left untreated areas and used different spray patterns to see how the product reacts to water.
Thank you. I was trying to be as thorough as possible with these comparison videos. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.
Excellent test. Great demonstration. Thanks for posting. When flooding the panel....works best without the sprayer attached.
I've been using the Meguiars and like way you apply it to a wet vehicle. I can hand wash and rinse, pull into the garage, and spray one panel at a time with Meguiars and wipe with the wet applicator. I spray on panels, windows, plastic trim, and rims. Comes off very easy and buffs to a nice shine with a microfiber towel. It also restores slightly faded black plastic trim to a more darker color with hydrophobic properties.
Excellent comparison! Thank you so much.
Look forward to long term results. Good lineup for sure.
Thank you for watching! Would you prefer to see updates every 2 weeks or every month?
@@TheCarDetailingChannel either is good especially with the car sitting out 24-7. Mother Nature kicks in pretty quickly!
Fantastic comparison. Thank you so much. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you Mahesh
Great review and good tip no guessing anymore.
I personally loved the results from meguiars hybrid spray wax for it's hydrophobic effect.
I’d say buy the cheapest & use it regularly.
I was thinking the same thing. The cheapest one is the winner because all 3 products worked like they should
I'd say buy the best no matter the price an do it once. I'll be out driving in my camaro while your working on your Ford
I had applied Megs HCW a month back - the foundation coat of HCW in wet-wipe and buff mode. My car spent a whole day under the rain lately otherwise there's shaded parking for my car. Yesterday washed my car with ph-neutral shampoo and then applied HCW in spray and rinse mode over the wet car. The surface was repelling water like a lotus leaf after first wash. I had initially wished for the TW but purchased HCW because it was cheaper than TW.
What did you protect those unprotected strips with ?? 😊Just found your channel looking up mhw. You are very clear and precise. Great tip on using damp applicator on the Megs hybrid. Been waiting nine months for my new car (and still counting)and I am practicing detailing on my 20 year old daily driver. Discovered and love Glarts cockpit cleaner and Brake buster. Looking forward to the updates. Just subscribed from England.
Thanks for taking your time to share.
Can the Turtle Wax be used on black rubber or glass.
Thanks for doing the work.
Thank you for the informative demonstration. Can I also use the coating on the trims? I have 2021 Toyota Highlander and would like to have the trims and the panel by the windshield wipers shiny and get back the original black color.
Have been nice too see the watherspot test of this products
Great video 👍 looks like 🐢 wax for the win! 🇨🇦
Great informative video.
I used to have an extremely clean car in 2005. I washed and waxed it all the time...even the air vents were cleaned out with q tips lol. Anyway, I lost that car and kinda got out of the car paint polish hobby. The other day I decided to detail my wife's car, and used mothers cmx. Holy crap...the diference between carnuba and this stuff is amazing...the future is here!!!
Just picked up some CMX three days ago. Waited the 24 hours and reapplied a second coat, at 48 hours stacked a third coat, and the results were very good. Highly recommend CMX and stacking after 24 hours.
thx
I agree, I’ve used all three and the mothers is by far the best
Did you store the car in a controlled environment, or leave it parked in the open, or drive it between coats? My car needs a full polish and wax and was curious how these conditions could affect multiple applications while on a tight budget of time. (Obviously driving between coats is far less than ideal: any expert’s experience, opinion, and knowledge would be greatly appreciated by this DIYer who’s pressed for time.
What polishing machine are you using here and can I just polish the paint by hand with Meguair's Ultimate Compound?
Good video. Ty . Think I'll stick with tw . I have used all the tw line and happy with them . Because of availability and price I offer the tw stuff as a lower cost option for my customers compared to my other "pro" line of products. Have had great feedback. Ty again.
Can’t go wrong with TW, they’ve been putting out fantastic products. I think with so many good products and brands out there now, it is starting to coming down to personal preference for me. Thank you for watching and commenting Derrick! I appreciate you brother and I hope business is doing well for you.
In my opinion there is lot more to test beside water beads.
I think you should test the shine, finish, surface hardness, thickness of layer, lasting, versatility of various surfaces, dirt attraction against static charge etc.
Been happy with both CMX and TW Ceramic. I find CMX has better fresh water beading but doesnt hold up like TW. Currently using TW as it seems to go strong for a few months.
How often do you use it every couple months?
@@TheMercadoChannel yeah up here in Canada I was getting like 2-3 months with TW. Mothers although better out of the gate would give me 1-2 months. Ive since switched to Gyeon Q2 Wax. I get the gloss and water beading for easily 2-3 months.
Huh, I use the mothers about once a week, everytime I wash my car, it’s pretty cheap and easy to put on. I wasn’t aware it lasted that long
Do you wax polish the car before applying the ceramic?can you apply the ceramic over plastic and headlights?
Good video brother.
so which one lasted better overtime? all ceramic waxes will have same effect but whats more important to be is which one lasts longer
from the intervals of 1st coat & 2nd coat is it ok if the car stands outside ? or before applying it should we wash the surface before applying it again?
I thought all 3 were the same. Which one was better in your opinion?
The hcw seems most hydrophobic,. Being able to apply both wet and dry would suit me too,. The turtle Wax has rep for sometime streaking... I might buy hcw next
My car is parked outside . Would you recommend rewashing the car before applying a second coating
I like meguairs one because if you have a ceramic coating already you can just spray on the hybrid ceramic and wash it off and you get back a fresh coating
Can we apply these products on windshields
Good review
Hi, i have washed the car then after dry i applied the Meguiars ultimate compound and then i applied the meguiars ultimate polish. Now my question is.. Can i applied this ceramic wax spray over this polish as a protection?
If yes then the procedure will remain same as in your video?
How to products like these compare to professional grade ceramic coatings in regards to longevity?
I do have a question i have new 2022 car. What is a good prep for a new car that has only seen car washes .
Any views or opinions on Autoglym Rapid Ceramic Spray?
I see you use a pad to coat the bonnet would you say this is a better way then just spraying the bonnet from the bottle .
I just bought a 90000.00 dodge challenger thar got prep washed with armor all wash an wax the car is black I don't have a buffer or experience with one how should I proceed to use mothers ceramic
which product have you found to last the longest after normal washing ?
Can you do a water test a month later.
question...love the video. Do you suggest putting this on over a polish before I wax? or put this over the wax
You would want to polish first and then apply either of these. You can apply these over a wax if you really want to but I wouldn’t suggest it because you won’t get the best longevity out of the product that way
@@TheCarDetailingChannel which is best between megulairs and turtle ceremic wax which attracts less dust
I love Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating!
I apply 3 coats in the spring, 3 coats in the summer, and 3 coats in the fall. Super easy to apply and lasts all year long throughout the winter months!
Walmart always has the best price.
Hey bro, where do you live? I’m in Canada and I’m wondering if I should just get the coating or the turtle wax can do the job for the winter
Hmmm..applying 3 coats, three times a year does not equate to "lasts all year long"
@@BillGockeler It does for me.
Water beading and the way snow and ice just slides off the car is nice. Plus I wash my car at least once a month in the winter.
@LambSlainAtCalvary I'm in Canada too. I tried Shine Armor Graphene Ceramix spray, but it's the Turtle Wax Ceramic hybrid is the best. Still shiny after a year and during winter.
@@duke6j lasts a few months you mean
I just tw ceramic spraywax 4hrs ago and it rained.. What should i do? Help pls
I have been using the meguiars, and CMX in the past. Meguiars is a little bit more painstaking to initially apply , as there needs to be a base coat. It does not seem to last very long. CMX does not last long. I have been watching so many reviews I've been doing heavy research and I heard that Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions is one of the best products on the market, even beating out products many many times it's price. So I think I'm going to try the new Turtle Wax hybrid solutions next. Because people seem to be raving about it
Turns out most of the raving was from people paid to make adverts... Now things are settled down and people are making more impartial videos, all is not quite as Rosie
@@jusb1066 I have been using the hybrid solutions for a few months now and I can't really say anything bad about it. It's good stuff.
@@youandiryan a lot of people have trouble with the hybrid solutions streaking, the advantage of the maguires is you can use it both wet or dry. Classify objects to some of the marketing turtle.wax have been using the last couple of years flying reviewers out to Arizona, luxury free premium products review specials, just to give that positive vibes that doesn't really mean anything other than they've been bribed
@@jusb1066 hybrid solutions does and can streak. I will admit that. But that is an easy fix. All you have to do is go over it again with a dry buff and it is gone. Also you get streaking if you use too much product, but I've never had too many problems with streaking. Personally I like hybrid solutions. It seems to last longer than Maguire's definitely.
@@youandiryan the TW spray is awesome. I bought some of the TW 10 wax mix/ combo of ceramic / graphene / carnuba paste and it really it the shit. Freakn awesome. It lasts longer and I use the spray every few months for touch ups after washing. The paste is $25 but worth it. It just takes very light coat then repeat the next day or use the. spray. I have a 98 Caddy and 98 Trans Am and the paint looks new when detailed using the TW. Mind blowing. Top quality and easy to apply. Have you tried the TW 10 wax combo?
love the video but no long term rest with car wash soaps etc....bummer!
All 3 products appear to have the same hydorphobic ability. However, I also heard you say that the Mequiars product was the easiest to use.
Turtle Hybrid Ceramix give look more glossy, more deep clean look, also last long
Try also, Sonax nano ceramix spray coating friend, look strong clean, give clear look, still can feel it in 4 month
Yep Megs defo more hydrophobic. Tw some sheeting going on👍
If you have a new car, what steps would you do to get to the ceramic spray? Meaning, do you need clay and polish applications?
Clay is to get off stuff like birdshit and bugs a new car you could just wash and wax
Hi can anyone advise if the towels used to apply the coating and the towels to buff can be washed and reused or would they need to be demoted to wheels/garbage?
They can be washed and reused. I always rinse at least 2 times and absolutely no fabric softener or dryer sheets for any micro fiber towels.
Turtle wax seems to have the best sheeting action. Mothers, to me, came in 3rd.
Can I use the meguire hybrid this on my 5 month old car .. I’ve never coated it or waxed it ?
100% you can
2 month updates with sun and elements exposure.
Definitely a bad chemical odor to the ceramic spray wax. It will get in your hair and if wind blows the wrong way or its a breeze in your nostrils.
The wax itself works great, really makes car shine and hydrophobic more than any spray wax I have tried. I drove through heavy rain on open highway an when it stopped raining after about 40 miles and I stopped for gas the car was dried off and looked shiny still and didnt have any of that road dirt on it that you would usually expect after driving in rain.
This definitely works, its just that it has an amonia-like chemical smell that stays in your nostrils and hair even after you shower , even if just a small amount of mist happens to blow your way. Definitely wear nitrile gloves when applying. I would like to kno wthe toxicity of this product if inhaled in small amounts (mist).
Which one are you referring to?
@@justinchatlani6297 The Turtle Wax. Besides the smell it actually beads more and seems to last lnger than the others I have used. Its mainly the smell, just make sure you are standing where the wind isnt going to blow the mist toward you.
I use all these. Meguairs can streak easier but is more hydrophobic and can be applied wet. slightly. The turtle hybrid spray is easiest and actually my favourtie. The cmx is alongside autoglym is water i swear…cmx stinks and autoglym smells citrus but super weak.
Turtle paste smells best with better gloss. Also comes with good pad.
Meguairs wet wax the old school stuff is hard to beat for gloss though.
Clay n polish is a bit of a waste for a spray ceramic… may aswell use a proper ceramic. Then use spray ceramic per wash after. Depends how many cars u got
Good video
I had the mothers cmx and to be honest , no slickness, not much shine , i think it sucks , the turtle wax had a better shine and slickness , have never tried the Meguiars but heard good things about it , might have to grab me some .
Mothers is alright in the short term, it takes a hit pretty quickly. You will notice it within a month, I will say though Mothers bonds EXTREMELY well to glass, I've not found another brand that just holds in place like Mothers on glass.
I use TW Seal n shine improved formula on my windshield and it's been holding up great i get more then a month of solid water beating and gliding away till it reduces performance. Been using Rain X original for years but SnS is much better imo. No issues with the wiper blades so far like other people claim.
What do you think about the Nu finish Ceramic spray. It looks good.
Looking at your reflection as you leaned over the car the first one, turtle wax had a significantly better reflection.
You can apply Jet Seal by hand with this same method. Will last 4x longer.
They all work. It looks like. I think the real test comes in durability… how long each one last.
can you use the maguaris on a existing ceramic coat?
Yes
I think where you had the tape did the best
The clouds passing over the crisp hood was a good look
I was using CMX for a while then found Griots 3 in 1 ceramic and it is far superior to anything else I have found for longevity and shine.
I have the Griots 3 n 1 ceramic but I haven’t tried it yet. Can’t wait to see how it performs
Scott HD made a longevity test and it was holding on strong even after a year…just amazing…such a shame I can’t get it in my country :(
Agree … have tried all the major brands & really like Griot’s; even more than Chemical Guys. The 3 in 1 product is easy to apply with no streaking & produces great results.
nice video like everytime. I would like to see the turtlewax prodoctus against each other like : flex wax, hybrid, seal and shine
Ahh forgot about the seal and shine black
I have a playlist on my channel where I put Seal N Shine vs Graphene Flex Wax Vs Ceramic Spray. Check it out if you have seen it.
@@TheCarDetailingChannel oh sorry will chevk it out now. Thx
Do you need to wash again before applying the second coat?
I would
Please list the steps in the beginning before waxing
Hi guys
Can we applies the ceramic wax on the class ?
No
Did you let the Mothers sit on the paint for a few minutes? just askin cause of the time lapse
Good question Dee Jay! Yes, i let the Mothers sit for a few minutes before wiping off left over residue with a clean towel.
I thought the Turtle Wax hybrid did the best. I was surprised.
I say the meguires hybrid wax because it can be applied wet and just rinsed off. Out of those three.
Yeah, it looks to me like a turtle wax dries quicker, so I would pick the turtle wax
Meguiars Ceramic Wax beads better as far as I can see. Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions sheets more but still beads up.
If you really want to see how protective they are why dont you use 100 grit sandpaper? Seriously I use these and try others all the time. My wife truck is 4 years old and it looks better than it did new. Point is keep it clean and put something on it.
Can i use the turtle wax ceramic spray as another sealant after doing the mothers 3 steps wax?
Sure can.
Mcwires was faster to get off with leaf blower 😊
Aaaah 360p, my old friend...🙂
10:30 urinating on a bonnet after after 6pack of beers test 🍻
With this type of application, Meguairs' product may win... Turtle wax is the most slickest,
Megs is the most hydrophobic among the 3 products
2 week please 😎
Coming up this Friday hopefully. I appreciate you tuning in.
If they are similar in price, most likely the ingredients and results will be the same. All three brands probably buy the solution from the same company.
But how long does each last????
All three of these will last a few months at the most on a daily driver that stays outside all the time. It doesn’t matter which one you choose, I’d reapply every 3 months
good
Thank you! Which one do you think will last the longest?
Autoglym's EGP is all I ever use, would never change it for anything.
I have noticed that in the last 15 years there is a new, better, life changing car wax/polish/shine product every three weeks. Or at least a new bottle and name.
The one on the left!
The chemical guy one burns my hand that some real stuff
Mothers worked really good
Should have use the mother's 2.0 and I bet the results would have been epic, would not took ten minutes to do the hood, less probably
Maybe I’ll try it for the next vs series
Left side seems slower
I've been called Hydrophobic before but I promise I'm not afraid of any water balloons
I think drivers side beaded the best
Need a torture test on all three products to see who last longer
In a torcher test turtle wax lasts the longest. But it still gets the lowest ratings for longevity. He is giving updates on the coatings so I am curious to see why turtle wax get rated so low when it lasts the longest in tests.
I think the one on the right side
Turtle wax for sure. Even has good self drying
Turtle does best job
