Gentlemen, I have used this product, TW Hybrid Ceramic Coating, on both of my cars, and have found this product, as well as all of the TW Hybrid Solutions, excellent. How I used it? After properly preparing my cars for polishing/waxing, and after 2 coats of TW Hybrid Solution Polish/wax, then I applied 2 coats of TW Ceramic Coating, waiting 24 hours between coats. After 6 months of applying the initial coats, I have applied a third coat, and it seems like i just waxed it! Amazing! I have used all of the TW Hybrid Solutions products, and would recommend all of them. Because of the costs, I usually use ONR, once a week, because of our harsh winters here in the midwest. I highly recommend the TW Hybrid Solutions line of products, as long as your car is properly prepared.
Thank you for sharing your process when using the TWHS Ceramic Spray. We agree, proper preparation is key. It's pretty amazing how durable the product is, we've conducted some torture tests (none scientific) and it holds up very well against some harsh conditions. Thanks again for watching and commenting. :)
Hi Shane73. Yes, you can apply it as a topper to a Ceramic coated vehicle. It will rejuvenate and extend the longevity of the coating. Great question and thanks for watching.
Turtle Wax will never die they will just keep producing new and better products. Bought some Turtle Wax detailer the other day for $13 compared to $30-$35 for same over-priced Bowdens and Meguairs products.
Definitely a great value for quality products! We just noticed that Turtle Wax is celebrating 74 years this month. Amazing! Thank you for checking out the channel!

Hi Derek. You have a great combo there. After giving your vehicle a good wash with a gentle car shampoo, use Ceramic Spray Coating as your base layer of protection. (Just follow the directions on the bottle😁) After future washes, use the Hybrid Solutions Wax N Dry each time to extend protection and add a pop of gloss! Good luck and thanks for watching!
The instructions says to do a 2nd coat for 12 months of protection, but it doesn't give and time frame between coats. You see any problem waiting a week?
You are right. We would wait a minimum of 24 hours to allow the first coat to cure. You will be fine waiting a week, just make sure to give your vehicle a good wash with a pH balanced car shampoo prior to applying the second coat. You are going to love the coating! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the info! I applied this, and the second coat the next day, and it looks great. I've never done my own detailing, but the car was ready with paint corrected, etc, because I had some work done by a detailer earlier in the month. What do I have to do for future coatings in the 6-12 months? Do I have to somehow strip it away and start over with clay/polish/etc? Or do I just wash, dry and reapply every couple months for good? I didn't buy the Hybrid solutions Ceramic Wash & Wax, but I could if that's the "system."

Totally fantastic product.... guys.... one suggestion for you.... do not flip your application rag from the wet side to the dry side until AFTER you cross hatch the product. Work the product in with the wet side of the application rag. This stuff really works beyond well.
Hi FireFoxTony. Use a dry microfiber 1st to spread and wipe away the product. If needed, use the damp microfiber if you have streaking. Thanks for watching!

Hi Carlynn. Great question. Typically you would want to wait 60-90 days after a fresh repaint. This will allow the paint to fully cure. Also, double check this with the body shop/painter that is repainting your vehicle. Thanks for watching!
Hi naftis. Yes, you can apply this product to black unpainted surfaces. One suggestion we always give is to try it on a small area first, to see how it looks. Great question and thank you for watching!
I live just off the Gulf of Mexico and in June of 2021, it's in the upper 80's and 90's. I have no shade. Heat index of 105 or more. The metal is cannot be touched it's so hot. I have no choice but to use this product in direct sunlight. I am also disabled so I looked at it's ease of use when choosing Turtlewax Hybrid products. So I guess we'll just have to see if it's as good as it claims. So far, it's the easiest to use. I hope it works out! :)
Hi Thomas. Hope the Turtle Wax is still holding up for you. That is definitely some tough conditions to detail with. The ease of use is extremely beneficial in these situations. Thanks for watching!
I’ve always been a nu finish user because of how long it lasts, but thinking of trying this product out. Would there be any benefit to applying the nu finish before the Hybrid Solutions, or would that affect the way it bonds with the paint?
It would affect the bond of the Ceramic Spray Coating to have any other wax or sealant on the paint before applying. Though, you would be fine to place a wax or Sealant on top of the Ceramic Spray coating. Great question and thanks for watching!
I've always used nu-finish and always been more than happy with the longevity. Usually 6 months or longer. My car (that I just traded in) had some pretty bad water spot etching into the clear coat. I’ve heard that nu-finish changed the formula and it’s not as good. On my new suv I’ve tried the turtle wax ceramic.. went on and buffed much easier than the nu-finish. Shine is incredible. If it lasts thru the winter I will be a permanent convert. Time will tell.
@@MrHitthespot Since I wrote this comment I actually started using it on both my wife's car and my truck. Very pleased with it so far! Did two coats on her car and one on my truck. Both have received a few washes and I can't complain. Interested to see how it will do over winter.
@@PureOctaneGarage Tested the Hybrid Solutions over the winter and it was a little disappointing. Did ok, but didn't last more than a few weeks once the salt hit the roads. The Nu Finish while not as good as it was is still beading when the vehicle is wet. I'm wondering... has anyone tested the ceramic coating and with a layer of Nu Finish put on over top? The shine from the Ceramic is superior, but the Nu finish lasts longer. Wondering if I could get the best of both worlds by using the two together?
Hi Mike. You can apply the second coat either way. We tend to wait until our next wash and apply the subsequent coat at that time. Thanks for watching!
Pure Octane Garage -thanks again. Is this the correct steps then, first good wash, clay, apply the turtle hybrid polish and wax and use the turtle hybrid ceramic spray? Use the turtle hybrid 3 in 1 in between washes or use it after each wash to maintain the protection? I have not waxed my wife’s car in over a year but the car was kept in garage when it was parked.
Always always wash your car before applying any ceramic coating why would you apply a sealant such as a ceramic coating over car that might be dirty or have dust on it you will seal that crap right back in there. I'm shaking my head with these two guys doing this video it's hard to sit here and watch two people giving awful information and the way they applied the product and took it off look like two guys from their Three stooges. I've been doing this for 32 years and I just shake my head sometimes when I see this shit
Great question Alex. You do not need to wash the car again if it remained clean for the 24 hour cure time with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Polish & Wax. (if it did get dirty or dusty, probably a good idea to wash or waterless wash the vehicle, but use something without protection to do so)Go ahead and apply the Ceramic Spray Coating after the cure time. You will love the results! Thank you for watching!
We pulled this from Turtle Wax’s Q&A: “ TWCarCareExpert · 6 days ago You do not need to throw your towels or pads away! You can wash and use them again. For microfibers, you can wash by hand with warm water and a de-greasing dish soap! We have been reusing our microfibers after washing with All Free & Clear. Love to see your ride! You have a GT350R, right? Thanks for watching!
@@PureOctaneGarage yeah i thought i had read that about reusing and simply washing. thx. and yes i have a gt350r in black with black/red stripes. stay well.
Hi Luis. Sure thing, the damp (using water) microfiber is used to eliminate any streaking from the product. Turtle Wax puts this as a tip on the back of the bottle. It’s as easy as wiping the streaks away with the dampened microfiber. Thanks for the question and watching!
You can, but if you have the time and patience, we would recommend to clay and polish (even a iron decontamination might be helpful) your vehicle after washing to prepare the surface. You will get the best results from the spray coating this way. Thanks for watching!
Hi Paul. You would want to apply the Ceramic Spray Coating as your base layer and then you can top it with any wax or detailer you'd like. Thanks for the question!
Hi Eric. Technically, yes you can if you have removed all residue from the claying process. Our preference would be to recommend a light polish to remove any light micro marring that occurs when using clay bars. Then move onto the spray coating. Thanks for watching!
I'm thinking about buying this but I had one question, I hope you guys can answer it. I live at a place where there's lots of dust and I don't have a closed garage to keep my car in. So can I do the first layer and then keep my car covered with a car cover for 24 hrs for curing before applying the second coat?
Hi Gaurav. We think you’ll be fine using the car cover to keep the vehicle protected while waiting for the cure of Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. While not the best case scenario, you are keeping the dust level down. Just get that 2nd layer on as soon as you can! (Might need to lightly dust the vehicle before applying) Let us know how it goes. Take care and thanks for the question!
Adam’s Polishes has Strip Wash that will prepare the vehicle surface for you. Another is McKee’s 37 Coating Prep Auto Wash. Hope that helps out. Have fun coating and thank you for watching!
This is a great product, but if you want the ultimate in gloss and longevity, there is no substitute for Fusso Soft 99. I managed to get 18 months of protection with it on my wife’s black Mazda Tribute, and that includes driving every day in nasty Chicago winters.
That is amazing getting 18 months on a daily driven vehicle (and through the rough winter months)! We are not familiar with Fusso products. Definitely will be checking out Fusso Soft 99 now. Thank you for the recommendation and we appreciate you checking out the channel!
Thanks for the question Giorgos. We would recommend using this for the initial 2 coats only (waiting 24 hours in between) and then maintaining with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Wet Wax or Ceramic Detailer. Any more use of Hybrid Solution Ceramic Spray Coating might create a buildup. Thanks for watching!
Hi Brett. The recommendation for damp microfiber towels is to remove any possible streaking or high spots, if they occur. We tend to get some streaking with all Turtle Wax products, so this recommendation works excellent for us. Start with the dry microfiber and add a damp if you notice streaks after the dry application and removal. Thanks for the question and watching!
@@PureOctaneGarage Stupid question, but sometimes the semantics get me. Are we talking dampened with water, or a cloth dampened with more Turtlewax Ceramic Coating?
Hi Jhef. Yes, you can apply this on top of a ceramic coating. Just make sure the surface is freshly washed/dried and be sure to give it the 24hr cure time after applying. Thanks for watching!
Should you wash, clay bar, polish then spray this on?? Or can i just wash my car then spray this ceramic spray on ? Also can i use this over the top on a standard wax as a extra protection? That’s what i want mostly, extra protection as i work in a industrial area, has cement place close by and fertiliser
Does anyone know why I’m getting a car full of watermarks after heavy rain. The beading is great, the water rolls off, but what’s left leaves a car full of watermarks. Please help!
Hi clive. We are going to guess there are some mineral deposits still in the rain being left behind. The coatings can still etch and spot, but you are helping prevent that from happening to your clear coat. Hope that helps a bit!
It's a little bit finicky in sunlight just tougher to wipe up than a regular spray wax but not as hard as a real coating. Still a good idea to use in a garage or shaded area.
We definitely think the damp microfiber will help you out. We tend to get some streaking with all the Turtle Wax SiO2 products, but they have great gloss and longevity. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for the super content guys! Had all the answers i was looking for. I have one question though. My new car is arriving in a week, what process i should be using to apply the ceramic spray. Please help!
Spots will always be an issue if the surface is not dried off. They will definitely be easier to remove if you have protection on the surface. If you do get spotting, it will be on the coating versus on your vehicle's clearcoat /paint. Hope that helps answer your question. Thanks for watching!
This product is designed and best used as your 1st layer of protection, on a clean surface. You can apply the liquid wax on top of the Ceramic Spray Coating if you’d like. Thanks for watching!
I tried this stuff (hard shell paste by hand at age 60 is very difficult doing 2 cars) and had problems with this stuff and threw it away, then used the old hard shell paste I've used for 40 years. This is what I did wrong. Step 1 - spray. Step 2 - spread it around with first microfiber cloth. Step 3 - buff with second clean microfiber cloth. At what point do I use the third "damp" microfiber cloth everyone says I need but isn't in the directions?? Thanks for your help. I really need an easier way for an older man to wax his and his Wife's cars.
I just wish when you guys make these kind of videos and I'm talking about every do-it-yourself video that's on TH-cam that you show people how to do things right. first of all no disrespect but you'll use one microfiber towel to apply the product you'll use a second one to remove it that's why you were getting streaking because the towel that you use to apply the product was still wet from the product whether you turn it over or not never use the same towel to apply the product as you would to remove it this is how you keep everything moving clean and streamlined. Also it's wise to spray the product directly on the microfiber towel so you don't get overspray because that overspray will get on to the glass and other parts and dry and that's not good because these products drive very quickly that's why you do very small sections at a time. Thanks for the video and by the way I've been an automotive detailer and restore in the industry for over 32 years. I give you good advice and you will see the difference
Thanks for constructive criticism. It might not have been apparent, but we did use a fresh microfiber towel during the speed up portions of the video. We were getting the streaking immediately after application. Turtle Wax even calls it out on their bottle, so it is not a surprise to us. We have recently started using a microfiber applicator and that does work a lot better than spraying directly on the panel. Appreciate you watching!
Thanks for the question Bjarni. We have seen and heard that putting a sealant on top of ceramic coatings is fine to do, but we like to use a maintenance boost or ceramic detail spray every couple washes. Thanks for watching the video!
How long does this last? I am seeing mixed reviews where people are saying it can’t protect more than 2-4 weeks. Is it better to go with liquid wax than this?
With proper prep to the paint, we have seen about a year. A lot of results depend on enviromental conditons exposed to and prep work. The liquid Ceramic waxes are still in testing for us, but so far Adam's Liquid Graphene Wax has held up for 7 months on a lightly driven vehicle. We also have Turtle Wax Graphene Paste Wax that was just applied to a new vehicle a month ago. We'll post an update on those shortly. Thanks for watching!
Amazon ships tons of stuff in bubble mailers that have no business being in one. They might even just stick a shipping label to an item's retail box, like a PC liquid cooling radiator. Inside the box is like one layer of bubble protecting the fins from damage. Yes, many get damaged when they do this.
I used the spray coating this evening, after a full polish using the ceramic polish and wax. (24 hr previous). I followed the instructions closely, but didn't get great results. The product is very hard to buff off, leaving smears and dark patches. I don't get it. Two sprays per panel, work it around with a microfibre, then buff with a dry and clean microfiber. It just doesn't want to come off. I don't get it, is this the same product?
Dang! That is always disappointing when putting all the effort into your vehicle's finish. We have run into the streaks/smears with Turtle Wax products. If you haven't tried it, dampen a microfiber polishing cloth with water and go over any streaks. That has worked for us to knock down high spots. If that doesn't work, reach out to Turtle Wax via the link below. They are very good about addressing questions and concerns. Let us know your final results. thank you for checking out the channel! www.turtlewax.com/en-us/contact-us/
@@PureOctaneGarage thanks!! A damp microfiber sorted it out. I think this was due to the polish already laying down some coating, so this was a bit like a second coat and there was excess?
Hi Roger. Our guess is it should be ok on gloss vinyl. It is not recommended for matte as it will add gloss. Turtle Wax does claim it is safe on PPF (paint protection film). Maybe try it on a very small area first, just to make sure! Thank you for watching! Let us know your results.
You definitely can use Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax on top of the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. (you can also top Ceramic Spray Coating with Ice SealNShine for even more durability) The Ice Spray Wax is a similar product to the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wet Wax that works in the same manner. Thanks for the question and watching!
I have now tried Turtle Ceramic Spray... But i dont know if i did wrong in "cleaning" the car-paint right before with (Sonax Xtreme Cleaner+Wax)... do you think the wax makes the Ceramic spray less able to stick or be efficient ?
Hi Bjarni. We definitely think that is what you ran into. The wax in the Sonax Xtreme added a small layer of protection. In our experiences, these ceramics and SiO2 sealants really like a bare paint surface to adhere to. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news there. Since it didn't adhere as intended, we bet a good strip car wash with a coating prep wipe will easily remove it and let you attempt again when you are ready to detail next.
We definitely recommend a polish and/or correction before applying any coating. It will give you the best depth and gloss! Also, don't forget after polishing to do a prep wipedown to assure the coating adheres correctly. Great question and thanks or watching!
My car had Cquartz applied 7 yrs ago and I've bee using Reload to maintain it also a Carpro product. Now it's not what it once was and I would like to try something like the Turtle wax ceramic. Do I need to do anything special before using the Turtle wax product, can I clay bar the car as is then start with the TW ceramic? Wasn't sure if I needed to strip wash the car with anything first. Any suggestions will me much appreciated.
Thanks for the question. We would recommend a strip car wash, clay bar or mitt treatment, compound & polish, and finally a surface prep wipe down (usually a isopropyl alcohol mix). After these steps you will have a clean and prepped surface to start fresh with your Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray Coating. Don’t forget to do a second Spray Coat 24 hrs later to get about 1 year of longevity! Thanks for checking out the channel!
Thank you for the video. I clay barred first. I have sprayed two coats of the ceramic spray and after cleaning with hybrid solutions 3in 1 detailer, I still feel something on the paint. I also had to scrub hard with the detailer to get some spots off probably from a tree. I don't know what I did wrong.
You might have to use a more aggressive clay bar, (medium grade)but beware, you will need to polish your paint after this due to light marring from the more aggressive clay. Sounds like you did do everything correct otherwise. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Great question! Per the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating bottle, it states to wait 24hrs before washing or applying a second coat. We take that as it needs 24 hrs to cure, so try to keep any dirt, water, or other contaminants from altering that process. Thanks for checking out the video. Let us know your results.
If I understand it correctly, you can get by with JUST this ceramic spray. The other products you are showing are just to make it prettier and/or extend the longevity of the ceramic spray... correct?

Good day, this hybrid ceramic spray coating can be apply or use to a ceramic coated vehicle? Thanks
Hi Shane73. Yes, you can apply it as a topper to a Ceramic coated vehicle. It will rejuvenate and extend the longevity of the coating. Great question and thanks for watching.
@@PureOctaneGarage thank you
@@PureOctaneGarage After 24hrs curing time, I need to wash the car for the second (2) coat application of Hybrid ceramic spray?
Can we use this spray without use of polish and wax prior to applying this?
Yes, just clean.
Hi, thanks for the video, nice information. Do you know if I should wax before or after applying the coating?
no
How do we prep the car for this? Just wash and dry with dry cloth?
I have the ceramic wax and dry I’m going to buy the ceramic spray which one should I use first or can I use them together I mean please help I’m not a pro with cleaners and cleaning car
Hi Derek. You have a great combo there. After giving your vehicle a good wash with a gentle car shampoo, use Ceramic Spray Coating as your base layer of protection. (Just follow the directions on the bottle😁)
After future washes, use the Hybrid Solutions Wax N Dry each time to extend protection and add a pop of gloss!
Good luck and thanks for watching!
Pure Octane Garage thanks for the reply means a lot!!
Anytime! Enjoy the detailing!
Hi guys, what product dou you recomend to protect UV ray ?
This spray coating from Turtle Wax will protect from UV. We were able to have Turtle Wax address that question directly. Thanks for watching!
Super hydrophobic, I applied this to my 4C and now it's afraid of the rain. This stuff is so easy to apply it's going to put you guys out of business.
Love that quote,”it’s afraid of the rain” Great to hear you have great results. Really is amazing stuff!
Where to buy the microfiber towels? Everyone one I use it scratches my Chevy soft black paint.
We grab our from The Rag Company. The Eagle Edgeless 500 have always been nice to our paint. Here is a link...theragcompany.com/products/eagle-edgeless-500?_pos=3&_sid=1b725d23f&_ss=r

Thanks great video! So I am clear use clay bar, then the polish/wax, then the ceramic coating for 2 coats?
Do I have to wait for another 24 hrs after the second coat?
Yes. Waiting 24 hours between each coat allows it to cure. Thanks for watching!
Does the streaking go away on its own after a while if you leave it, or do you have to buff it until its gone?
Hi Petar D. The streaking must be knocked down with a damp microfiber cloth. If not, it will remain. Thanks for watching!
Totally fantastic product.... guys.... one suggestion for you.... do not flip your application rag from the wet side to the dry side until AFTER you cross hatch the product. Work the product in with the wet side of the application rag. This stuff really works beyond well.
This stuff is amazing. Did two costs and after hard rains I have no water spots and still looks great.
That’s great to hear! It is a really fantastic product! Thanks for checking out our video!
Did the folks at Turtle wax ever respond to your inquiry regarding UV protection?
Hello mikey. We were told by Turtle Wax that the product does contain UV protection. Thanks for watching!
Do you use a damp microfiber to wipe it off straight away?
Hi FireFoxTony. Use a dry microfiber 1st to spread and wipe away the product. If needed, use the damp microfiber if you have streaking. Thanks for watching!
@@PureOctaneGarage thanks! Do you use a damp microfiber straight away while the product is curing? Or give it a few minutes? Or do you use it once the product is dry? Thanks very much
Can we use it on windshield too?
Yes, you can definitely use on exterior glass. Thanks for watching!
After ceramic spray coating can I use zip wax as it attracts dust
You can definitely use Zip Wax if you’d like. We are fans of using a ceramic maintenance spray. If dust is attracted, detail spray or a wash will take care of it. Thanks for the question, appreciate you watching!
Nothing has made my 9 yr old bmw m sport Carbon Black Metallic paint look soo deep wet and deep black with a super glass shine as easy as spray it, spread it evenly, wait 2 minutes and wipe and be amazed! This Turtle wax ceramic is so highly recommend for all black cars ...

You shouldn't see a haze. Just spread and remove immediately with a secondary microfiber. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
I am glad to see that I wasn’t the only one who had trouble applying it. You definitely need a damp microfiber or you get streaking!
We do tend to need the damp microfiber with most Turtle Wax Sealant and Ceramic products. Thanks for the comment and checking out our video!
They use a “damp” microfibre cloth. Not a damn microfibre cloth. 🤦🏾♂️

Damp microfibre cloth with water or turtle wax?
After having my car fully resprayed how long should I wait before applying the turtle wax ceramic spray?
Hi Carlynn. Great question. Typically you would want to wait 60-90 days after a fresh repaint. This will allow the paint to fully cure. Also, double check this with the body shop/painter that is repainting your vehicle. Thanks for watching!
Can you use it on black plastic unpainted parts??
Waiting to see the results ☺️
How about applying it at dusk/twilight
can this be applied to an existing ceramic coating like igl coating / kenzo? to act like a sacrificial layer
Great question. Yes, you can apply this on top of a ceramic coating to protect it that initial coating.
When you layer for the second time, do you wash the car again and apply it or just apply it after waiting 24 hours to cure it??
Thanks in advance
Mike Lee I would not apply polish and wax before ceramic. You don’t want a wax on the paint before putting ceramic on it
Always always wash your car before applying any ceramic coating why would you apply a sealant such as a ceramic coating over car that might be dirty or have dust on it you will seal that crap right back in there. I'm shaking my head with these two guys doing this video it's hard to sit here and watch two people giving awful information and the way they applied the product and took it off look like two guys from their Three stooges. I've been doing this for 32 years and I just shake my head sometimes when I see this shit
After applying the polish and wax do you need to wash the car again or can you just apply the ceramic spray wax 24 hours later without washing?
Great question Alex. You do not need to wash the car again if it remained clean for the 24 hour cure time with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Polish & Wax. (if it did get dirty or dusty, probably a good idea to wash or waterless wash the vehicle, but use something without protection to do so)Go ahead and apply the Ceramic Spray Coating after the cure time. You will love the results! Thank you for watching!
Which is better? Tw hybrid ceramic spray coating or Tw hybrid ceramic wet wax?
The Spray Coating will last a lot longer, you can top the coating with the Wet Wax if you’d like. Thanks!
@Pure Octane Garage Thanks friend.
I heard that tw graphene paste wax gives superior shine? Is it true?
I am sorry, I couldnt hear properly.. But why is the damp microfiber cloth needed?
Any new yet on UV protection?
Hi Glen. Great news! Turtle Wax stated it does have UV protection. Thanks for watching!
any idea if you have to discard the microfiber towel after application or can it be thrown in wash and re-used?
We pulled this from Turtle Wax’s Q&A: “ TWCarCareExpert

You do not need to throw your towels or pads away! You can wash and use them again. For microfibers, you can wash by hand with warm water and a de-greasing dish soap!
We have been reusing our microfibers after washing with All Free & Clear.

Does TW Ceramic Spray provide UV protection?
Yes. We were informed by Turtle Wax that it does protect against UV! Thanks for the question!
Can I ask what the “damp” cloth method is?!
Hi Luis. Sure thing, the damp (using water) microfiber is used to eliminate any streaking from the product. Turtle Wax puts this as a tip on the back of the bottle. It’s as easy as wiping the streaks away with the dampened microfiber. Thanks for the question and watching!
@@PureOctaneGarage sweet! Thanks so much. I figured that’s why, but wanted to make sure.
You’re welcome!
Can i apply this on brand new car .only wash and then apply this spray.?
You can, but if you have the time and patience, we would recommend to clay and polish (even a iron decontamination might be helpful) your vehicle after washing to prepare the surface. You will get the best results from the spray coating this way. Thanks for watching!
Will this product work well on top of a hard shell turtle wax finish ?
Hi Paul. You would want to apply the Ceramic Spray Coating as your base layer and then you can top it with any wax or detailer you'd like. Thanks for the question!
So if i clay bar my car can I apply this directly to the car after, or use a polish then this?
Hi Eric. Technically, yes you can if you have removed all residue from the claying process. Our preference would be to recommend a light polish to remove any light micro marring that occurs when using clay bars. Then move onto the spray coating. Thanks for watching!
I'm willing to try this product on my car and my teardrop trailer. Would it be okay to apply this ceramic coat on top of fibreglass/gel coat?
How much do you think I apply if I’m applying to my Kawasaki motorcycle?
One coat will be great, but can't go wrong with two coats on the Kawasaki! Thanks for watching
(Might need to lightly dust the vehicle before applying)
Let us know how it goes. Take care and thanks for the question!
@@PureOctaneGarage Thanks for the quick reply guys. I'll buy the product as soon as possible and will give you an update on how it went.
What wash would you guys use to prep the car for the polish/wax and ceremic coating spray.
Adam’s Polishes has Strip Wash that will prepare the vehicle surface for you. Another is McKee’s 37 Coating Prep Auto Wash. Hope that helps out. Have fun coating and thank you for watching!
Hi love 🐢 wax products. Can you over coat with that coating?
We love the Turtle too. You can definitely layer the coating. Be sure to allow for the cure 24 hours before adding another layer. Thanks for watching!
You prefer Turtle seal&shine or Ceramic spray?
We like the Ceramic...but you can't go wrong with either choice! Thanks for watching!
Many good information about the product, thanks a lot, but how often we are suppose to use this product?
thanks in advance!
Are they saying to use damp microfiber towels?

Does anyone know why I’m getting a car full of watermarks after heavy rain. The beading is great, the water rolls off, but what’s left leaves a car full of watermarks. Please help!
Hi clive. We are going to guess there are some mineral deposits still in the rain being left behind. The coatings can still etch and spot, but you are helping prevent that from happening to your clear coat. Hope that helps a bit!
It's a little bit finicky in sunlight just tougher to wipe up than a regular spray wax but not as hard as a real coating. Still a good idea to use in a garage or shaded area.
We 100% agree with you that it is a bit finicky in the sun. Always seems easier to do everything detail related in the shade. Thanks for watching!
Product works great. I apply in the garage, but also get streaking on the hood due to the size of the panel. I'll try the damp microfiber next time.
We definitely think the damp microfiber will help you out. We tend to get some streaking with all the Turtle Wax SiO2 products, but they have great gloss and longevity. Thank you for watching!
You might also apply a light mist of distilled water with a spray bottle and wipe.
Thank you for the super content guys! Had all the answers i was looking for. I have one question though. My new car is arriving in a week, what process i should be using to apply the ceramic spray. Please help!
Whats with my spots if i dont dry it? Shouldn't it all slide off. My McGuire does is it
Spots will always be an issue if the surface is not dried off. They will definitely be easier to remove if you have protection on the surface. If you do get spotting, it will be on the coating versus on your vehicle's clearcoat /paint. Hope that helps answer your question. Thanks for watching!
Can I apply this after applying liquid wax

After applying this for regular maintenance Should i use MEGUIAR'S G19216 Ultimate Polish after wash? how to maintain futher apllying this spray
Can i use it on matte finish?
Do you recomend putting sealant over ceramic?
Thanks for the question Bjarni. We have seen and heard that putting a sealant on top of ceramic coatings is fine to do, but we like to use a maintenance boost or ceramic detail spray every couple washes. Thanks for watching the video!
Pure Octane Garage can u recomend any specific product for maintenance boost or ceramic detail?
Right!!! We hope they are learning from these situations. Astonishing some of they way things get shipped. Thanks for watching!
Skip to 5:30 ,mute the video and turn on captions! You're welcome!!!

Can you use this on gloss vinyl stripes
Hi Roger. Our guess is it should be ok on gloss vinyl. It is not recommended for matte as it will add gloss. Turtle Wax does claim it is safe on PPF (paint protection film). Maybe try it on a very small area first, just to make sure!
Thank you for watching! Let us know your results.
Anyone know how this differs from the hydrophobic wax? Ive used that for ages with good results and never any streaks.
This is a ceramic sealant. In theory, it should way outlast a wax. About12 months longevity when properly maintained. Thanks for the question.
Can ICE Spray Wax be used on top of the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating? Would it give it better protection?
You definitely can use Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax on top of the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. (you can also top Ceramic Spray Coating with Ice SealNShine for even more durability) The Ice Spray Wax is a similar product to the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wet Wax that works in the same manner.
Thanks for the question and watching!
Can i use this as maintenance in my newly ceramic coated car?
PI just put it 4hrs ago and it rained.. What should i do? Help pls
In our experiences, these ceramics and
SiO2 sealants really like a bare paint surface to adhere to. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news there. Since it didn't adhere as intended, we bet a good strip car wash with a coating prep wipe will easily remove it and let you attempt again when you are ready to detail next.
Should you polish the paint first?
We definitely recommend a polish and/or correction before applying any coating. It will give you the best depth and gloss! Also, don't forget after polishing to do a prep wipedown to assure the coating adheres correctly.
Great question and thanks or watching!
@@PureOctaneGarage Just wipe it down or use a chemical?
@@PureOctaneGarage thanks
Is it true the car must remain dry for 24 hrs after ceramic is applied ? Or is that only the case if you want to add a second layer?
Great question!
Per the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating bottle, it states to wait 24hrs before washing or applying a second coat. We take that as it needs 24 hrs to cure, so try to keep any dirt, water, or other contaminants from altering that process. Thanks for checking out the video. Let us know your results.
If I understand it correctly, you can get by with JUST this ceramic spray. The other products you are showing are just to make it prettier and/or extend the longevity of the ceramic spray... correct?
