I’ve been struggling with streaks on my scatpack from this spray wax but after watching your video I finally have learned how to successfully spray wax my car without streaks! Thanks!!!
I also did the same… I did polished my bike, it’s 2 years old now but I always take care of it, so I was confident of the paint condition. I did a hand polish & then washed and applied the product. The only thing I’m wondering is that the water bedding has improved not by a big margin, may be because it was already smooth surface, secondly I did not notice any improved shine, again my bike is white. Let me know your thoughts.
Brilliant. Used this stuff last year on my black Range Rover after spending hours - clay bar, cut and polish. So disappointed with all the streaks, they disappeared after about 3 washes and there was obvious protection. Same process this week and tried less product, more clothes, more wiping off etc to avoid streaks. So bad I only did the bonnet and front wings. I'll give her another wash and try your method. Many thanks.
Very honest review. I had the same streaking on my black BMW with the ceramic spray after I used Turtle ceramic polish and wax. With your tips it works much better. Thanks
@@epicautomotivedetailing after I bought the regular ceramic spray, I saw that Turtle also released ceramic black spray and black polish. Did you tested these as well?
Thanks for the update. BTW, for those wondering about TW Ceramic Sealant and the new and improved S n’ S vs. graphene coatings, there are a few videos showing that the TW products are longer lasting.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Please do a video on improved S n’ S. There’s a recent video comparing it to the original formula, and it beaded better and lasted longer, even after being assaulted by multiple applications of nasty cleaning products.
@@ChicagoRob2 yeh I been thinking about testing it. I'd like to test it while I'm out and about so I can make relatable for car cleaners and see how to make it good for business with cost per application and look at how much you can charge for using it. I'll definitely do that
I bought this product as soon as I saw the many amazing videos out there. But, after watching your video - and other videos of some lesser known TH-camrs - and quitted even trying it. I am very glad you did this video. Now I am feeling more confident to apply this on my black car.
great video. as a long time detailer, I suggest misting di water from a spray bottle immediately after applying. then b7ffing dry for no streaks at all. or dampen a new microfiber towel an vs then buff off with that. good videos thanks
Thanks for this video. I had exactly this issue on my Black Alfa. Streaking looked awful. Tried the damp cloth trick but it didn't improve the situation until I followed the damp cloth immediately (literally damp cloth left hand, buffing cloth right hand) with a bone dry buffing cloth. Then it started to look great. As you say you will go through multiple buffing cloths because the need to be bone dry. This product still takes a lot of effort to apply to a black car so its not for everyone but if you use it have confidence to power on knowing the streaks will come out with these tips. Also, the direct sunlight tip is bang on product bakes almost immediately in direct sunshine making life even more difficult so choose a grey day, should be too hard in the UK.
Yeah it's definitely not my favourite by far there is too many better ones out there. I think for most people it's not worth the hassle this ceramic spray
I've had excellent results by spraying the TW Hybrid Ceramic and new Graphene sprays directly on a square microfiber applicator pad and applying in a cross-hatch pattern. Very effective on the application and a bit more economical.
This is exactly what I needed, I think I was having this problem with Meg's hybrid ceramic. The biggest issue was on outer trim and windows where it left oily looking streaks, and I had the best luck with reappling over those areas with a thicker coat.
What a faff! 5 towels? 😳 I used Yum Cars Ceramic last weekend and only used one of their towels for the whole car - one side to spread it then the other side of the towel to buff. It's a great product too, thanks to your Yum Cars reviews my car is now the shiniest I've ever seen it. 😎👍
A bit surprised that you suggest a clean NEW towel as opposed to a clean properly laundered towel. I can see the price going up for the weekend warrior like me. Always enjoy your tutorials and honesty. All the best from Ontario 🇨🇦
Good video and agree like many, the first time I used this I wasn't impressed at all, especially after watching all of the rave reviews. However, I've stuck with it and found the best way of applying on my black car (including in the summer), is to spray the product onto the microfiber cloth rather than directly onto the paintwork. Still streaks a bit here and there but much easier to work with. Also using the applicator cloth as the damp cloth to go over any bits again rather than another wet cloth. Good results and okay for once or twice a year but not an easy product.
Hi Joe, my first attempt not great so i'm reading all the comments and advice here. Did you mean that you have one applicator cloth that is wet with water or product? and use this for the whole car. Plus do you use multiple dry buffing cloths? Sorry if i have misunderstood.
I had a hell of a time with this stuff , and after applying to the car sone days later parked outside a pub in the sunlight and it looked dreadful, but on the driveway it looked ok , so will now try it again , with your method , cheers great video and top tip with the damp microfibre cloth i will try again 😊
Excellent video. I have used this product. Works well. Just takes time to apply. Dave please test this product over 6 months months to check if it lasts.
Thanks for the video. To make this work in the heat (I'm in Vegas where it can get super hot and super dry!), do only one section at a time. Then make sure you use a dry cloth to buff it. That's it! I do it once a month after the first time, and it's incredibly good.
hello my friend i already have another video on this which may help. long story short use a damp towel to go over the streaks and follow up with dry one
@@epicautomotivedetailing I applied the coating yesterday. Just went out and wiped the bonnet down this evening and streaks are still showing :-( might have to do an IPA wipedown and do it again I think
I'm glad I stumbled across this video because after using this product yesterday I found it streaked terribly. I did a full correction prior to using it. I thought these spray polishes were supposed to be faster to apply and some would have you believe they are, but in my opinion, the traditional paste waxes are far easier to use given that you don't have to franticly remove the product before it starts to flash-off and I think that's the problem with the streaking with these spray polishes, they start to flash-off before you have a chance to buff it off, especially on the larger panels, so it's those areas that have dried are what cause the streaking. You also mention about it being too warm when you applied this previously but TW claim you can use this in direct sunlight.
@@epicautomotivedetailingwell i bought version that says "new", yet i have same problems :D sio2 % is high enough to cause these peoblems + solvents in this bottle arent as agressive as they are in some other professional coatings where you can really smell them. Those strong solvents are bad for health but, comparing to something as TW spray ceramic, they actually help you remove streakings MUCH easier (before coating is fully curred).
I have a dark grey Toyota and applying TW, I will get the streaks. But using it on my wife's silver car, it looks absolutely fine! It's nice to find a the work around is extra micro fibres!
Yeh I've done fair few videos on this ceramic spray now and I've used it for a year I use it in lighter cars and save the darker coloured paint for things like yum cars or bear car care
Good to see you got it working. I only use 3 towels (but that Tesla was a bit of a barge, so understand the issues), and as I mentioned to you on the previous vid comments before, the wet one is absolutely key to getting results. Little tippy hint from my experience of the range. If you use TW ceramic on a customer car and just one coat, you should try to upsell a leave behind of the ceramic wet wax for them to use after maint washes. It is simple to use, they will love the results and you will become their trusted advisor. A couple of bottles will easily see them through six months on an average car. When you return to re apply the ceramic seal in six months, you will have an easy job and you may of course choose to make a couple of quid on the upsell too if you can get a discount from TW.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Can understand your point entirely as a valeting business and a TH-camr. With me just maintaining a few cars, I quite like the finish, longevity and simple maint washes the TW offers, and don’t have to worry about time too much. You get out what you put in as a weekend warrior I guess.
Great video. I’ve been using this since April 2020. The key to this product is the damp cloth. It’s one extra step but it’s worth it. I also use the TW ceramic polish before this spray and that gives you 2 layers of protection. TW also came out with the black version of this that gives more depth while retaining the same gloss and protection.
Nice revisit, I used it on my black Golf this summer. Good results if a bit difficult to apply, IMHO. I will likely go for something quicker and simpler when the bottle runs out. Cheers Dave.
Dave a great video working in the heat is hard and a hot surface on a vehicle can be a challenge. You state the facts and some products are recommended not to be used in direct sunlight. I know that a majority of the products are not to be used in direct sunlight and it's always wise to read the manufacturer directions. Thanks for taking the time to encourage and to teach others the mistakes you have made and to avoid them. I live across the pond and working in the direct sunlight in Texas is challenging. I have products that can be used in direct sunlight and streaking with any product on a dark color vehicle can also be an issue. You said it best power through it and take the time to use more than one towel and just don't get discouraged. If you are ever across the pond and come to SEMA Show drop me a line.
I spent all day on my car trying to remove streaks. Not at all easy and for this I will never use this again. You’re right in what you say. To Pell you the truth my Porsche came up brilliantly with Halfords own liquid polish. It was brilliant and easy to do.
I tried this product a few times on my bright red car and the streaking was terrible. And yes I even tried applying on the cloth rather than direct on the paint. It was like I rubbed oil from the side of my nose on the paint. Took a lot of time and aggrevation trying to rub out the streaks using dry and then damp towels. I could have used old school wax in the same time and not have dealt with streaks. I don't get how people are successfully using this product, maybe they don't notice the streaks because they only show at certain lighting angles.
I first used Turtle Wax ICE Spray Wax' then bought the TW Ceramic Polish, and the TW Ceramic Wax. I found the same streaking you shown. It takes more work. I am going back to the ICE products.
Yeh it's a shame but it looks like they have their graphene coming out before Xmas. I could be wrong but judging by there (something big is coming promo) it looks like graphene
Nice to see the integrity shown by not only making this video but pulling down the others. From my point of view (just doing my own cars), I'm sticking with Seal'n'Shine (or whatever we call it in the UK). The results are stunning, especially if the first application is done slowly with an applicator. I think the longevity, gloss and slickness are hard to beat for the money. However, if I was selling it as a service, like you, I'm sure selling a ceramic sounds much better than selling something from a £10 bottle from Halfrauds ...
This video gives out great advice about the smearing etc, just a note about the Ceramic spray you use which has great results, especially the following washes which makes cleaning more easier.
Another great video Dave. Very handy tips you gave about using that product. It doesn't seem the easiest but the end result was excellent. Keep up the good work.
Thanks mate, yeh it scrubbed up well. The product is very good and I think it is better for people with a lot of time and and indoor space. Thank you for commenting on my videos and supporting the channel ✋
Hi Dave, the damp cloth idea does work, after applying the Ceramic Spray,it takes a while on a black car.i wonder if you can spray the TW ceramic on a damp cloth, wipe the paint work then take it off.
No need to be damp. Just spray it on a towel and spread it on a panel and buff off. its that easy. I recommend this to all spray sealants and waxes especially on dark colored vehicles .
Fair play for doing a 3rd follow up on this. To be honest, if the instructions were better and indeed of any benefit nobody would have an issue. Always makes my teeth itchy when you see a product being hammered by other channels after a little organized holiday by the manufacturers....... fair and well for them to be wined and dined and then spout their recommendations, but here we have the peoples choice giving a REAL review in real conditions on a car he is getting paid to do or not if you fu sorry get it wrong. Most of us normies by now would have moved on and this would be in the bin or the "run out of everything else shelf". We the people are the Gods, not the Voodoo pedlars. Thanks for doing this Dave and hope you all had a great Christmas. Rant over 🤗
Cheers Roy. I removed previous negative bits from my first turtle wax videos as i was being too lazy to give it a fair go. To be fair once its on and its been applied correctly its amazing and that's not just me saying that. I think because of the initial Hype i got carried away and was hoping for a miracle. When it comes to ceramic protection as long as it holds out in between washes that's all i need personally as i enjoy the entire cleaning process so there is no way i would wash a car and leave it without some of quick detailer of ceramic spray at the end of it. Hope you had a nice Christmas too. Ours was ok, Sadly our dog didn't make it so it took the shine off it but ill be glad to move on with 2021

Applied it 2 months ago and didn't really have any issues on a dark grey metallic. Used cheap/less plush MF for application, 1 to apply, damp one to remove and a quality buffing towel. Found it pretty easy and no issues. Over application seems to generate most people's problems imo. Throw towels in a bucket of warm water as soon as you are done to stop the product curing into them and a subsequent wash makes them good as new.
Hello just curious on the weather conditions when you applied it. The horror stories I seen were from the really hot days in direct sunlight. Thanks for your feedback and experience it really does help other who read comments 😃
@@epicautomotivedetailing 12c bright and sunny. I'd parked the car in the shade too. Machine polished with The TW Polish on a finishing pad, then 2 coats of the Ceramic. Done over 2 days so slightly reduced the cure time between ceramic coats 1 & 2.
Great video Dave, think you've identified where I went wrong with this product when I bought it originally, may have to buy it again and rtry using your tips although I think yim cars ceramic is a far easier product to apply now I've tried it and like it
Yes yum wins hands down for me. I had to remake this video because it would be pretty poor of me if i left my old video without giving it a fair crack. Yum ceramic is mind blowingly good
Absolutely perfect mate you actually did nail it must watch video before anybody uses this spray first-time users will fall into the Trap take your time follow this man's instructions he has now added a lot of us found out using this product the hard way but I must admit great product as all the turtle Wax products have become this spray is near enough on professional level ceramic coating that cost vast amounts of money and you require goggles gloves hazmat suit
OMG, yes!!! I have Toyota Camry with the red pearl paint (7 layers of paint + 2 layers of coat)! I have a terrible problem with this product, I literally sweat myself and push really hard trying to remove the streaking... So far the only workaround I found is using barely any product, wiping it off almost instantly and buffing off with a second towel right away...
@@epicautomotivedetailing Most of the videos about this product are super inconsistent too... One guy is saying it's perfectly fine to use in direct sunlight, as the product was designed having in mind the hot climates, another is saying avoid the sunlight, one is saying it's super easy to apply, etc. But it's not easy to apply. Probably , theoretically, after doing a near professional level of paint preparation and while you already have other products applied to the paint afterwards... then MAYBE it would be somewhat easier to apply... For me it got really frustrating and I even thought of throwing the bottle out for good... In addition, I got their 3in1 Ceramic Detailer Waterless Blah-Blah product as well - and I got exactly the same streaking problems as with the ceramic wax... And worse, the product says to pretty much spray generously and wait a few seconds... BIG mistake! Edit: I've never, ever had such problems using the Waterless wax by Meguiar's
@@epicautomotivedetailingwait a second fella... i have read your replies you made under this video where you say you like this product and will keep using it. And here you are claiming you won't use it again. You must realize one thing, people will read these comments many years after uploading a video. Be consistent with replies
I made a right arse of this product the first time I used it. Sprayed the whole car before buffing. Lesson learned the hard way. Little areas at a time are the trick.
thanks for the great tips! Unfortunately I found this video after I used the ceramic spray wax, and I have streaks right now. It's already been a day after I have applied it so the streaks are cured in. Will the streaks deteriorate on its own as time passes by, or will I have to go through a special process to remove the streaks?
@@epicautomotivedetailing are you saying the next time I wash my car, the streaks will go away as I wash? What I meant in my original comment is that the ceramic spray has already dried and cured in. What shampoo do you recommend? Thanks!
I see what you mean. Well it's not 100% sio2 in fact it's very little. Adams strip wash shampoo would sort that out. But first see how a standard wash goes with a panel wipe after. Has it cured badly?
Great vid, me and my brother in law tried this a while back on his black Volvo and we struggled as it ended up covered in those marks. I tend to use the spray on sealants via foam cannon (auto glym) polar blast… how long does this actually last for in your opinion? The stuff I do use usually needs re doing monthly (even less over winter months)
Quick question. Now that I have applied this stuff it is the next day and I am stuck with (Permanent?) streaks. I failed to spend the necessary hour buffing and rebuffing yesterday. What's the cure? A couple washes and reapply? Go get some Ceramic polish and wax? I'm not completely pissed, but I don't have time for this learning curve.
Loved the video. I have a dark blue car and have had streaking issues with several different products. Instead of using a dry MF towel to spread the product, I've tried smoothing out the product with a damp MF towel. This adds just enough moisture to allow the product to spread around evenly until I can buff it off. It's not a perfect solution but has helped tremendously.
For Windows i hardly use protection as most cars are done regularly every week or so, I just keep it simple. The glass cleaner I'm on at the moment is yum glass which is ace 👌
I just finish to apply the first layer on my BMW i4 and I agree about the quality of this product. Maybe I would add some advices to easyly get the job done: first of all, don't do this outside if the sun is shining. It's way better to to it inside when at temperature under 10° C. You will not have traces problems. Second, don't spray too much product and work on a single panel ay a time. Spray as you would paint: keep your hand moving toward the surface when spraying. Third, use good microfiber special clothes, one to spread, one dry to polish/finish. Don't wait too long to finish after spreading. I tested with and without polishing car before on small surface and if you have time it's way better to do it first. You will got a better result. It's not very difficult to use, but it requires a few hours of good working. Tomorrow, I will go for the second layer, it will be more relax and a quick job, I think. I hope this will help some of you.
Good points raised Dave, to help us learners/student of detailing! Meg's HCW first applies similarly, best done with a wet car and damp MF for applying, then use the 2nd cloth to dry and buff (hot day not ideal time to play with this kind of product). Similarly priced to TW, but I will be trying the new (cheaper) Infinity Wax QDX Graphene spray bought recently, but not the weather to test this weekend. ⛈⛈⛈⛈
@@epicautomotivedetailing TW HCW is a good product but those smirs or dark spots appear on dark colored vehicles because you spray directly on the panel here is a Tip for you. Try spraying on a towel and then just spread it on a panel then buff off with a second towel on any dark color (no more). this can happen on any spray sealant/wax not just TW. I've seen it happened even on meguiars NXT wax 2.0.its simple to much product on a surface and not enough time to wipe off.
Great review. Could you dilute 50:50 with de-ionised water and would this make it easier for black cars. I had the streaking happen to a detail I was doing with TAC Wax undiluted and I over reacted and stop using and went back to the EZ Ceramic Wax. The Tesla looks amazing.
A bit confused here. Do you apply the product with a damp towel and then dry it off with a dry one, or do you apply with a dry towel and then only use a dampened towel if you see streaks?
@@epicautomotivedetailing Honestly didn't expect such a quick reply on a three year old video. Thanks man! I'm trying this out for the first time tomorrow :)

i have tested a few all in ones. such as autoglym super resin polish and rupes uno protect. works fine but after that i stopped using the turtle wax because there are better alternatives
Thx for the video. Is there some brand you recommend for beginners for this sort of work? Not sure whether I go for this one, Meguiars or any other brand/type of product. Normally I'd wash at the car wash, dry it with a cloth, and then I can just apply this product as you instructed, or do I need to wax it before?
At roughly 2:55 you mention wiping the car with a "damp" towel. My question is, damp with what? Damp with the ceramic spray or with water? If so, is it cold water, hot water, soapy water with a car wash compound? Please advise.
Great video and tips as well. This product is very streaky and a challenge to apply especially on dark cars. This has been out for over a year with tons of videos on TH-cam did you just get this product?

As a mobile car detailer, I use this product because it's the best, but smearing is my biggest problem, making the job take much longer, and yes I spray directly onto the microfibre cloth, and I have to use water to remove the smear, but the results are outstanding, and worth the added time.
So,, it's spray onto a dry cloth, and apply,, wipe off after a minute or two, with a damp cloth,, and then almost immediately, buff with another dry cloth,,, is that correct,, ??? Just trying to find the "perfect scenario" ". Cheers,,,,
@@epicautomotivedetailing Nice. I plan to detail my car this weekend and polish using Autoglym super resin polish before putting on the Auto Finesse caramics kit
I had best results by applying it with thin cloth, so it spreads more evenly, and most of it disappeared. The bits that didn't disappear - I buffed them with DRY, fuzzy cloth. Took some time, but I think that removing marks with damp cloth also removes the product.
Can we do TW ceramic coating right after polishing the car by Meguiars Polish? Or should we wait 24 Hrs? Or give it a wash before applying ceramic coat? Pls explain the correct process
Sorry if I'm a bit daft, but would you please clarify the order of application? Do you spray, wipe/spread, buff, wet cloth wipe and buff again or does the wet cloth wipe procedure come right after the stuff is spread over the panel and before the first buffing? Thanks!
Personally I wouldn't go for this product if the weather is unpredictable. Infinity wax offer better protection. Try Synergy lite it's a one year coating that's incredible
Brandnew car, so the first time I washed it I used the Turtle Wax Hybrid wet wax the yellow bottle and that stuff is amazing so easy to use. But after the car was all dry and done, it was parked for about an hour Later in the night I decided I was goin put some turtle wax ceramic spray on it. The green bottle. I just noticed and found out you have to use a damp micro fiber when using the green bottle and very light application, well anyways I didn’t do that so now I kinda have that sappy streak look on my pant. Not horrible but I can see it when looking for it. What’s the best strip wash I could use? Turtle wax Max wash? Or Adam’s Strip wash? The car overall has two coats of wax technically it should be super hard to get off. I didn’t put a crazy amount on the first or second time. But it did have time to cure, so I’m afraid the wet damp cloth trick won’t work for me right now. Just basically want to start over and fresh, then I’ll probably only use the hybrid spray when the car is wet cause I like that the most and I get better results, probably cause it’s easier to use.
It's very hit and miss depending on these factors in the video. I was guilty of not liking it but the truth is I do and it was my own misunderstanding of the product that was a let down not the ceramic spray itself
Thanks mate. Yes it's not simple as it looks and I think there is better out there In terms of simplicity but it's well priced at cost per application 😞
It does but it's one of those hit and miss products in terms of application. Too hot and it can cause problems but the damp towel followed up with a dry one is the answer. It's actually one of my favourites now
@@epicautomotivedetailing Cheers. Will give that a shot tomorrow. Packed it in today after streaking the bonnet on my black A5. Was genuinely disappointed.

Good tip about uber clean towels... I hadn't cracked that code yet. All these type of ceramic type products are way too much work on dark paint compared to how easy it *should* be. Also, UV tests I've seen people conduct on products like this seem to show they really have no UV protection.

Yeah I love this spray the only thing that lets itself down is the time it takes to apply
@@epicautomotivedetailingany recommendations for good products that are faster to put on?
This is exactly what I needed, I think I was having this problem with Meg's hybrid ceramic. The biggest issue was on outer trim and windows where it left oily looking streaks, and I had the best luck with reappling over those areas with a thicker coat.
thank you
can i use this as a ceramic booster for an already ceramic coated car?
What a faff! 5 towels? 😳 I used Yum Cars Ceramic last weekend and only used one of their towels for the whole car - one side to spread it then the other side of the towel to buff. It's a great product too, thanks to your Yum Cars reviews my car is now the shiniest I've ever seen it. 😎👍
Hi Phil yes 100% agree Yum is my number 1 ceramic spray. It doesn't get enough credit for how it performs 😁🇬🇧
@@ozgoodphotos lol too much hassle
Hey dave, can you please tell me the approx wait time to ceramic coat your car after polishing?
It's definitely a love hate product. I got few more ceramic sprays to try this month as I'm definitely using them more and more now
Hi Joe, my first attempt not great so i'm reading all the comments and advice here. Did you mean that you have one applicator cloth that is wet with water or product? and use this for the whole car. Plus do you use multiple dry buffing cloths? Sorry if i have misunderstood.
@@Tim955w What I mean is that I use the same applicator cloth to go back over any streaks then buff again with the dry towel. Seemed to work okay.
@@joespavin3792 Thanks for replying.
Happy to mate. It's a new regular client so can definitely do that
Thanks for the video. To make this work in the heat (I'm in Vegas where it can get super hot and super dry!), do only one section at a time. Then make sure you use a dry cloth to buff it. That's it! I do it once a month after the first time, and it's incredibly good.
Thanks for the video. Applied the other day disappointed with the streaks.
Does this mean i need to wash, decontaminate, polish and reapply to fix it?
hello my friend i already have another video on this which may help. long story short use a damp towel to go over the streaks and follow up with dry one
I think it's just a troublesome product in general. They know that. I expect this to be gone soon as they will probably have a better version
Agreed. I had same issue and also ended up resorting to a quality paste wax. Wax on, haze and wax off ... without dealing with streaks.
@@bigworldparty The polished surface failed to bead when it rained.. in just five weeks.
Thanks Kev, once I'm through with this bottle I'll be on meguiar's spray sealant it infinity wax graphene maybe. Just love trying all sorts of brands
@@kevtheargonut I'm all about simple and easy products
Great video. I’ve been using this since April 2020. The key to this product is the damp cloth. It’s one extra step but it’s worth it. I also use the TW ceramic polish before this spray and that gives you 2 layers of protection. TW also came out with the black version of this that gives more depth while retaining the same gloss and protection.
Thank you Ron, sounds good idea I'll try that next time
What about the damp cloth?
Nice revisit, I used it on my black Golf this summer. Good results if a bit difficult to apply, IMHO. I will likely go for something quicker and simpler when the bottle runs out. Cheers Dave.
Hello Simon, yeh it's good but think it needs a tweak to be better for the mobile valeter or weekend warrior. Yum ceramic all day long for me
Dave a great video working in the heat is hard and a hot surface on a vehicle can be a challenge.
Thank you my friend. Its actually hot over here right now. It hit 31 yesterday which was mad. still not a patch on texas i bet lol
I spent all day on my car trying to remove streaks. Not at all easy and for this I will never use this again. You’re right in what you say. To Pell you the truth my Porsche came up brilliantly with Halfords own liquid polish. It was brilliant and easy to do.
He used it wrong. Spray it on the applicator not the car.
I started using it as a kinda drying aid on wet paint after maintenance wash. Works great!
But still.. Doesn't matter how I apply, it is not very durable..
I've done 24 hours in between coats and that's the best way to get real good durability.
Hello I'm definitely buying some seal and shine tomorrow I need to try asap for a video 👏
This guy is totally right, I’ve used the black wax with is amazing but it still streaks like crazy! Using a damp towel does work
Thank you Phil, it's a good ceramic spray for sure but think it needs a little tweaking to be something special. You just got to power through it 💪
This video gives out great advice about the smearing etc, just a note about the Ceramic spray you use which has great results, especially the following washes which makes cleaning more easier.
Thanks David 🙏
So this only be applied if no sign of rain or if you have garage? As it needs to cure!
Love you honesty, I'm not a detailer just someone that likes a clean shiny car
Thank you 🙏
Hi Dave, the damp cloth idea does work, after applying the Ceramic Spray,it takes a while on a black car.i wonder if you can spray the TW ceramic on a damp cloth, wipe the paint work then take it off.
Yeh I should of mentioned that lol. Thanks for watching my friend

Thank you very much. To be fair I've been still valeting this car and it's held up incredibly well.
It's a real pig isn't it. I won't get any more ever again

I made a right arse of this product the first time I used it. Sprayed the whole car before buffing. Lesson learned the hard way. Little areas at a time are the trick.
Yeh it's frustrating to say the least. I think if they tweak it a bit which I'm sure they will it will be a real winner

thanks for the great tips! Unfortunately I found this video after I used the ceramic spray wax, and I have streaks right now. It's already been a day after I have applied it so the streaks are cured in. Will the streaks deteriorate on its own as time passes by, or will I have to go through a special process to remove the streaks?
Hello those streaks can fixed with a damp towel. With darker cars it shows more. Alternatively give it a quick wash with a bit of shampoo 👌
@@epicautomotivedetailing i see. I just have some streaks on the hood.
If washing afterwards doesn't work then go for an abrasive polish like Autoglym super resin Polish
What protection are you applying on front window? Can you use turtle was cc to car windows?
For Windows i hardly use protection as most cars are done regularly every week or so, I just keep it simple. The glass cleaner I'm on at the moment is yum glass which is ace 👌
For front window I suggest Carpro FlyBy Forte or SOFT99 Ultra Glaco
Works well. Easy to use and you get decent longevity and to reapply is very easy. 10 minutes
Great video Dave, informative and real world relationship to time available being a working detailer.
Thanks mate. I have a real passion for this. I love what I do and want to help others ❤️
I need to try graphene. I need to see how it holds up in winter
Thanks mate. I wouldn't dilute because this product is unpredictable as it is. For me I'd sooner Go for Autoglym
Will the wet towel wipe off or ruin the adhesion of the product to the surface?
No not at all. Honestly were talking few squirts on towel so it's lightly damp. So definitely not soaking. The water makes it so much easier
@@epicautomotivedetailing Sweet thank you! Ive done the damp towel for streaks before, I just didnt know if I was wiping off the sealant lol
A bit confused here. Do you apply the product with a damp towel and then dry it off with a dry one, or do you apply with a dry towel and then only use a dampened towel if you see streaks?
Just use a damp towel only if you see streaks after

Yum Wash, Pyramid ultra shampoo, Go shampoo , Bear Shampoo, or Go ceramic shampoo
May I ask how to fix the streaking after the cure? Will reapplying makes the streaking to get balance?
i have tested a few all in ones. such as autoglym super resin polish and rupes uno protect. works fine but after that i stopped using the turtle wax because there are better alternatives
Thank you, so do you think reapplying the TW ceramic spray to the streaked area will make it even?
Thx for the video. Is there some brand you recommend for beginners for this sort of work? Not sure whether I go for this one, Meguiars or any other brand/type of product. Normally I'd wash at the car wash, dry it with a cloth, and then I can just apply this product as you instructed, or do I need to wax it before?
To be honest I would recommend a foam sealant. So wash car as normal, put sealant in foam cannon apply and rinse and job done 👍
At roughly 2:55 you mention wiping the car with a "damp" towel. My question is, damp with what? Damp with the ceramic spray or with water? If so, is it cold water, hot water, soapy water with a car wash compound? Please advise.
Apologies. Water

Yes the time is an issue but the results are amazing
So,, it's spray onto a dry cloth, and apply,, wipe off after a minute or two, with a damp cloth,, and then almost immediately, buff with another dry cloth,,, is that correct,, ??? Just trying to find the "perfect scenario" ". Cheers,,,,

Do you use this on the glass also? I’ve always waxed the windows while I waxed the car before. Can I do that with this also?
I wouldn't recommend it personally
Thanks!
Um, hello?
I live in Ireland where it’s raining most of the time. I dont have an indoor garage, Can I use a car cover while waiting for the coating to cure?
Personally I wouldn't go for this product if the weather is unpredictable. Infinity wax offer better protection. Try Synergy lite it's a one year coating that's incredible
Brandnew car, so the first time I washed it I used the Turtle Wax Hybrid wet wax the yellow bottle and that stuff is amazing so easy to use. But after the car was all dry and done, it was parked for about an hour
Later in the night I decided I was goin put some turtle wax ceramic spray on it.
Hello just re wash with a strip wash and you will be golden
Great video
Always been a little un decided on this product, but after watching this,
Going to give it a try...thanks mate.
It's very hit and miss depending on these factors in the video. I was guilty of not liking it but the truth is I do and it was my own misunderstanding of the product that was a let down not the ceramic spray itself
That's exactly what happened to me it's a pain in the ass. The car looked like crap with those streaks. Had a hard time to remove them too.
It's very tricky but once you get the hang of it you will be impressed
Great video mate. Personally abit to much of a faff for me but the Tesla looks really nice. With these sealants dry cloths are definatly a must
Thanks mate. Yes it's not simple as it looks and I think there is better out there In terms of simplicity but it's well priced at cost per application 😞
Does spraying it to de cloth work?
It does but it's one of those hit and miss products in terms of application. Too hot and it can cause problems but the damp towel followed up with a dry one is the answer. It's actually one of my favourites now
@@epicautomotivedetailing Cheers. Will give that a shot tomorrow. Packed it in today after streaking the bonnet on my black A5. Was genuinely disappointed.
Is there a chance the damp towel actually stripping the wax we applied? Thus removing the streaking too?
No worries it won't strip it
This is the best stuff I've ever used on my car. Its been a year and its still beading (the car is garage kept though).
I've got a client who's Letting me run a few comparisons on his car with this and graphene flex wax
@@epicautomotivedetailing I would love to see that comparison!
Yes I'm impressed too! Be Fair to the Product, I appreciate your honesty. I FIND TURTLE THE BEST. HAVE A BLACK CAR ( NO STREAKS)
Yeah once you crack the method it actually is incredible to use
@@epicautomotivedetailing
Thank you for the Demo. My Question is:
Say you have washed your car and apply the product. And say after 2 weeks you need to wash your car, do we need to apply this every time we wash the car? Also what sort of wash we need to have ? Just a normal sope and wash Rinse without wax? Please let me know. Thanks.
I spent 4hrs many times just to have the hood streak when no other pannel did. So will differently try the wet towel trick
Curious if a video be made about TW Max Power Car Wash.
Would be interesting to see a comparison b/t its Xtreme method and a clay bar.
Again a really good thorough review! Really helpful stuff coming from you all the time, keep up the great work ! Thank you
Thanks Daniel just trying to do my but for small detailing TH-cam channels here in the 🇬🇧
So all in all pretty tedious stuff this turtlewax. The solution is : take most of the wax off with a damp cloth, so the streaky stuff is almost gone it can not streak. Right. Any tips for other brands that do not require this ?
Good tip about uber clean towels... I hadn't cracked that code yet. All these type of ceramic type products are way too much work on dark paint compared to how easy it *should* be. Also, UV tests I've seen people conduct on products like this seem to show they really have no UV protection.
Good video mate, hope the rage is still bubbling away 🤣🤣. Really enjoy the content so keep up the great work 👍 🌈
Lol the rage is a boiling point 😅 it's so hard doing this channel being Mr political without the bad language
@@epicautomotivedetailing
Bad language 🤣🤣🤣, name and shame mate on the video front. 🌈
@@philipdemarco9222 it's not worth the hassle mate. They just holding me back from what I want to do
Epic vid i have 2 coats on my black Skoda yeti used a microfibre applicator pad and loads of cloths and it looks ace top up every few washes with i si02 detail spray bit of a faf to use but the results speak for themselves
Yeh that's the problem I thought before. I first saw the streaks and chucked it but glad I got it out the bin. I even bought a second bottle because I felt bad for slagging them off lol
Waaah man, thank you. I used 1 cloth, it got wet very quickly. Smudging it around. 😅😅
Yeah it's a pain lol
After applying it on my car suface, I have found that on some areas paint does not feel smooth to the touch. Is there a way to restore the paint smoothness?
It's all in the prep before hand. Get that surface decontaminated and this will be more effective
This is the kinda stuff I like to find! Great video!
Thank you 🙏
I've got a new black car. And it has a Graphene Ceramic Coating on it And it drives me crazy with all the streaks. No matter what I use. And I'm not a rookie started by detailing planes and private jets working at a small airport 36 year's ago. Trying to work off my pilots license. But this thing is insane!! Someone can look at wrong and it gets a smudge on it, so it seems.
Wet towels straight after followed by fresh new ones is the cure
You nailed Dave well done video. I like the product myself and your right to much product will give you mega streaking. I like to use applicator pads as well. Cheers from 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hello Canada form 🇬🇧. Thank you so much my friend 😁
I bought one and.I had the same problem. now i know how to use it
could you wax with say "K2 Ultra Wax, Carnauba wax paste" and then apply this ??? where does something like this fit in .. is it a replacement for wax ??
More great tips Dave thanks. I think I prefer the look of the meguiars ceramic wax.
Yeh I'm definitely not going to tell people to go out and buy it. It's not my place to but it's ok. Meguiar's is pretty amazing stuff
No streaking, no mess at all. Follow the directions, just 2 sprays per panel, never overspray. I spray directly on the panel or microfiber.
For best results, I use Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wash.
