Dennis’ Backyard BBQ

เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 ต.ค. 2020
We just rebranded to Dennis’ Backyard BBQ. We changed the name to make it easier to find.
I started this channel because of a love I have for cooking. I’ve turned it into a love of smoking meats and vegetables. I developed this love because of my mom’s brother taking me under his wing when I was a youngun. He taught me to always try new foods and never turn up my nose until I had tried them. He made octopus salad as an appetizer for he and I, while he was preparing another dish. I will always admire him. He was and is my favorite uncle. My Uncle instilled in me the idea that one can make sand taste good. So, I’m dedicating this channel to my uncle Edgy, Edward J. O’Hearn Jr!!
I grill on a large Big Green Egg, a Weber Kettle, and some other pieces of equipment as well. I hope you enjoy the videos.

I made several cuts on the wings to allow the seasoning to get into the meat. I put the wings into a zip lock bag and added 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tbs black pepper, 1 tbs garlic salt, and a splash of red wine vinegar and shook it up well. Cooked at 300 F for 45 minutes and then added sauce to some and left on for 5 more minutes to let it tack up. They were great. Enjoy!! AS AN AMAZON ASSOCIATE...

What is butt rub? I don’t bbq or grill. 😂
Seasoning. It is a brand of seasoning.
Nice man love the hot honey.
Very nice
Good one man!
@@Smokesteve thank you.

Looks good! My dad always liked them a little blackened! Thanks for thinking of us! ❤️
I cooked those gator sausages for him. ❤️

Love you too Cuz.

Thank you for watching.
Keep it up Dennis! Happy 4th!
Thanks and happy 4th to you as well.
Youre a seasoned pro. I was nervous cooking all night but with thermo probes and alarms i feel better about doing it. Looks delicious
It was good. Good luck to you.

Good stuff
Fantastic job on them drumsticks Dennis. Great seasoning and the red wine vinegar is a good idea. I’ll be giving this method a try sometime. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Thank you for the help! Video popped up in my recommended, loved it
Thanks for watching.
Time? Internal temperature? Wood type?
1 hour, 170F, 🍎
2 hours? Ugh. I'm using a propane grill that heats up to 500 pretty fast. Not sure if this will work, but I'm going to try and adjust the oil time for my heat.
Let me know how it goes. I like slow grilling. No way is wrong. Thanks for watching.
Those wings look tasty!
Thanks. Cutting them makes a difference.
I've been grilling chicken for ages and this is the only time I hit it out of the park. Crazy damn good. I went and bought more to do it again. I want to try with Chicken quarters but they only had drumsticks.
It works great with quarters also. Thanks for watching.
Hell yeah real fucking debate not like this bullshit these fucking damn Democrats one of micromanage every motherfucking thing because Biden's a fucking idiot
Where did you get your seasoning pan?
Costco several years ago.
Keep up the good work 💪
I tell you what Dennis, I bought a torch to light fires charcoal or wood whatever and it was a great investment.
That forst picture looks like a cave of flesh
It was a large steak. Watch the long form video for better view.
how long did you have them on there?
20 minutes indirect at 350F. I always cook them until they split, but we don’t like them charred. Wow, that is an old video. Thank you for watching!
What other colours of mustard are there
Read and educate yourself. simplicable.com/colors/mustard-color
I like the membrane
You finish your brisket at 160° internal?
Check that. I pull at 190 and rest it. I think that this was the “ what not to do” video.
its called pastrami.
Not exactly. I didn’t brine or age it. I’ll make a pastrami video for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@Dennisbackyardbbq then its not corned beef
They way he said "BLACK pepper" love it
Only pagans/Heathens eat swine
Wow masterful work
The PoorGuy loves all sausage! Dang Dennis those looked great. Cheers!
Thanks. They were really good.
Looks delicious!
If I wanted to make my own bacon bits rather than buying it, how would you smoke it?
I’ll be doing a video on that real soon. Stay tuned.
Isn't smoked corned beef called pastrami?
There a lot more steps and time involved in pastrami.
Every time I see them in the store I think of trying that but have always backed out of it now I will definitely try that thank you
They are good. Thanks for watching.
You are absolutely amazing! My new favorite channel. Watched a couple videos, subscribed and watched a few more...glad I subscribed 👍
Thank you. If you have a recipe that you want me to try, just let me know.
Looks tasty. Might have to try this
Looking very nice. Also bless you :D
Thank you. And thank you for watching!!
I subscribed keep the videos coming. I find them very entertaining :)
@Reiqual thank you

Good luck.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Thanks for the feedback. Share my stuff if you want!!

🤘🏻😎🤘🏻 Awesome stuff
Thanks!!
I ve never seen again tgo finish the butt unwrapped and it seems really interesting. You add the moisture in the end with your sauce and it seems really tasty. Btw south Carolina is legendary for the bbq tradition.
Thank you for watching!!
I just cooked three butts on my Weber master touch. Took me 12 hours using the minion method with spider grills venom.
Hell yeah brother good to see a carolinian doing pork. What beer y'all take with it?
Miller light down here in South Carolina.
