Ive made a few if the scrappy blocks but discovered that i have tons of 2 inch strips but not 2.5 so to make the block using my 2 inch strips would i just subtract 1/2 inch from each one of the pieces I cut to make it smaller. Im new to quilting and was unsure how to do this. Thank you in advance for your help

I love this quilt, it’s stunning! You showed how easy it is, I never would have guessed! I like to work in batches and chain piece, but I love the suggestion of making a test block- always best to get the technique before you start on your pretty fabric!

Very good way to use up scraps! The only thing I would do differently is that I would leave the opening on one of the sides of the lining. Sew the top all the way around, turn it and then hand stitch the opening closed. The top will look perfect and only nosey people will be able to see where you closed it all up.

Just watched first variation. This leaves no seam allowance! Will look yucky when assembled. Also your cutting technique is super dangerous! Use a spinning mat.

I recommend pressing each set of strips as you go., then you just give the tube a quick press before you start to cut the crosswise pieces
