Does agm battery use same settings that leisure battery ones u cant ad water, does boil at end and is the 14.4v too low for agm, 14.6v better?

So u should not connect straight to battery, light and tv and other, cause absortion charging the power comes from panels, i have connect tv to battery not in charge controller

I hear some have problems with the lithium ion setting messing up and over charging the batteries.

Subscribed and thumbs up! I am new to solar and gonna do my system in my van. Been watching videos and reading for 6 months. In the beginning my eyes were bleeding but now I am understanding more and you just prevented me from making a decision with 2 controllers. I had planned on the victron MPPT 100-50 next a Renogy that has a built in DC-DC power connection. Now I will go with 2 Victron controllers and their DC-DC module. I wanted to save money and buy other stuff but it is clear I could save money on things like panels and make up for it with Victron parts.....but I will get as many panels as I can anyway! newer ones may have an inverter motor and would use less electricity but a washer does not really run that long. I don't think it is really worth it to spend the money on an inverter type washer. Especially the electronics used in an inverter style washer they will not last but a few years and would be very expensive to repair. The regulators making these decisions on requirements for efficiencies Do not take any of that into consideration.

Does your machine have a heater in it or does it have a hot feed in ? , most of our machines in the UK only have cold feed in.

Keep your old machine running the only thing you'll need is to replace the agitator flopping wings maybe a belt here and there not worth buying a new machine just to have a little extra power savings just cheaper to buy another solar panel😅

Very cool video on utilizing what we have to get the job done. On the other end of the spectrum there are all-in-one washer/dryer units you can get these days where the drying part is actually done with a small heat pump. You put the clothes in, turn it on and walk away. When you come back your clothes are clean AND dry, although it does take more time than if you had separate units for each job. As a bonus, you don't need a dryer vent and the whole thing runs off 120v, so no 240v needed for an electric dryer.

Word of advice on buying a brand new high-efficiency washer some of my friends have bought them and they’re not happy with them at all,,,yes they use far less water and energy however they personally felt The washer didn’t actually use enough water the clothes weren’t getting washed well enough or rinsed well enough,,,you’ll have cleaner laundry with an old-school washer. we were going to buy one of those high efficiency jobs but I got to talking to people that I knew that actually had them and they weren’t happy with them at all so we decided on a stack up job instead,,,we’re getting a Whirlpool stack up combo washer dryer it’s the one with the 3 1/2 ft.³ washer about the same size as the washer you got there from the looks of it . I don’t know anybody that owns one of them I hope I didn’t make a mistake buying it. Time will tell I guess lol😊👍 i’ve thought about putting Solar on a small electric water heater and letting it get hot through the day and then that’ll just have to carry us through the night until the sun comes up again idk?

You are never ever going to get full rated watts from any solar panel .. There are to many variables.. Angles to the sun ect .. Solar needs direct sunlight ...Not just full sunlight .. As well as the big killer ...Voltage drop in the cables ..

How much did it ever pull as it started the spin cycle? Whatever newer machine you get to replace this old one will likely have all the electronic BS and it may not like the voltage going down below 110V as the inverter gets closer to rated load. I experienced that when recently replacing an old machine like this and then got a good strong, Giandel 2200W inverter that holds the voltage at or above 118-119V right up to rated power. Have a couple of CNSWIPower inverters elsewhere running room a/c's as well that hold the volts up at 120V, or even a bit more, as well. Aloha, bruddah.🍍

Those Kenmores were well built. Doubt if it will fail anytime soon.

I just did a load of laundry this morning as well. I used my EcolFlow Delta II. I bought my machines off Amazon. The washer uses about 4% and and the dryer takes about 50%. I have an old dinosaur on my system as well…I have it on a Giandel 2000 watt….BUT it does make the lights flicker when the washer is running. Thinking of expanding the system to pick up a coulple of more rooms in the house. I might pick up a 3000 watt and swap it out for 2000 watt….the other room is just some light and phone charges basically. Love the videos. Gonna be a good solar week in Ohio :)

nice set up. That a good test for inverter. them old washer has big start up surge. just find a spot for it. the fans loud on inverter but keep it cool . now you have a outher station for back up if you need. food before cloths wash . that a great test for that battery as well. you can run lights on that as well and much more . gives you a place to plug in pump for water as well. I have much newer LG washer. it a inverter drive one. takes half that power. runs on smaller inverter . washers came a long way. uses less water as well but must use HE laundry soap . says right in the lid. has a wheel with bumps to clean so wont hurt your old hat. the old washers hard on cloths .

Remember. If you want to double the leads, just put both sides of the flat sections of the lugs together. The hump sides against the flange and the nuts. It works well end the cap usually fits easily

Keep that machine until it bust, new ones are sh*t

I’m really liking the smaller (mini) Battery’s. And getting cheap also 🤙🏻 I Payed around $600 Aud for my first 100ah battery. That was considered a cheaper battery back then

I run this charge controller from my 48v 1100ah battery bank, instead of panels. I use the extra solar to charge an aux.12v 900ah battery bank. The most controller will allow is 14.8 volts.

is that pouch cells or prismatic? i have seen several well known and formerly highly regarded manufatures like chinns quitely stuffing pouch cells into their batteries where they used to have good prismatic cells ,,that could explain the missing warrenty info as pouch cells is inferior in all aspects

Always good to have reports on equipment that just keeps working. Thank you. I have two of the Reliable Electric branded 12 volt to 120 volt 2000 watt pure sine wave inverters for my backup power system. In September of this year, the working inverter will have 7 years of service as our power when commercial power is out. In the time I've tracked our power outages, we've had 24 outages that amount to a total of about 46 hours. I usually don't bother to provide power for fridge and freezer unless commercial power is off more than 30 minutes. The longest continuous outage was 16 hours from 70MPH+ winds in a summer thunderstorm but that was before I put the battery backup in place and I was using a small gasoline generator to cool the fridge and freezer. The longest outage since then was 12 hours when we had 7 inches of snow - in an area that rarely sees 3 inches of snow. The current battery bank is 420AH of AGM batteries but I plan for their replacement to be LiFePO4 and big enough to provide 24+ hours of operation without without solar or generator assistance. It's good to have equipment that you just KNOW will work when you turn it on. The solar charge controllers are EPEVER Tracer 3210A and 4210A. The RS-485 to USB dongles for computer monitoring get zapped by nearby lightning - and occasionally so do the USB ports on the inexpensive older laptops I use for monitoring the controllers, but the in-service Tracer controller will also hit the 7 year mark in September. The nearest lightning strike was about 150 feet away and the controllers just keep working ;-) ime

5 Year warranty

The differences in measured battery voltages is likely to be your cable runs. Short heavy cables between battery and charger otherwise it won't fully charge battery as it thinks battery voltage is higher than it is. The high current chargers should really have separate voltage sensing terminals/ cables that will measure voltage at battery terminals.
