    Aloha my friend. When I get 2 sets and I choose to use them temporarily, I put the 2 flat sides of the crimps together then you can screw it down with both wires aligned.

    Seems decent enough though one thing I always do with inverters that don't use proper internal fan control is to open the things up and see just how hot they let their insides get before they turn on the fan. If the insides get too hot, I usually hack the temperature sensor to make the unit turn on the fan earlier rather than later (generally by adding a 1.5K or 2K resistor in parallel, across the temperature sensor pads).
    I have a little 12V pure-sine-wave car inverter advertised as "quiet" that let its FET get to over 110C before it turned on its fan. Quiet... yah.. quiet to the point of burning up the unit(!). After a quick mod it now turns on its fan at 70C instead of 110C.
    -Matt

    inverter looks real nice. you need a clamp on DC amp meter to read battery amps. read before buying. some are ac amps only. and with DC amp clamp meter you have to zero them before putting on to wire. that would go nice on a hand truck. get 0 AWG or bigger wire and keep them short. well they did run 2 -10 AWG wire. good about 60 amps short run. may be CCA wire. be careful with that . not only do you get voltage drop it makes a mess when get wet. and crimp ends come loose after a wile. it's the heating and cooling of dissimilar metals is the cause. all copper and copper lugs is what you want. tinned copper is great. helps with corrosion. you could put 2 of them lugs together. flip one up side down . some times you have to flip one to line up. but was fine for that test . full load 3 KW will pull around 300 amps from battery. not going to happen with the wire they gave with out a smoke show. if you double up what they gave. that 4 -10 AWG . about 120 amps. so about 1250 watts load . that inverter makes more power than that Honda 2K generator . I would go 48V or 24V with that power level. at 48V them wires would be big enough for 3 KW . a heat gun or hair dryer would be biggest load you have.

    I'm always curious why the manufacturer puts the smaller gauge cables in the box. Seems a much heavier gauge wire would be more appropriate for 12v. Good price however. Still a great feature to have is a port to hard-wire the inverter directly to a distribution box.

      Yeah, I'm not sure why they do that either. I usually change those cable out 1st thing! I'll continue to work this out and see how it goes. Aloha!🤙

    Two things I always look at in an inverter is no load current draw and AC voltage under moderate load.

      Had to finally disconnect it during the night. Worked okay, but the fans ran under no load too many times, and was pretty loud. 🤙

    Looks like they did a nice job on it, but with a couple of fairly consistent exceptions: (1) The cables. We all agree that supplying adequate cabling if they're giving you cables at all would be better (safer) for the user. (2) 110Volts. Why 110V and not 120V? Loaded up at, or near max-continuous power, the output will likely drop down to around 103-107 Volts, and a lot of equipment doesn't like that (my washing machine, for one). At this time, the price is really good on Amazon. Wonder what the actual idle current draw is? The propaganda says 100% efficiency, but that can't be. Anyway, mahalo and be well. 🍍

      @ProjectsinParadise808  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, those cables! Finally turned it off last night. It kept working fine, but that fan ran quite a bit with no load, and the noise got on my nerves in my living space. Aloha!🏄🏼🤙

    there is a video of aTopbull 4000 watt inverter boosting the voltage from 113 to 120. I don't care for the 110- volt inverters
    the name of the video is, Getting More Power from this OFF GRID 12V Power Inverter

    10:02 its 'rock steady' because the watt meter displays the peak high reading(Hi) and not the real time reading. A mistake I often see when using this particullar watt meter 🙂
    -Yeah having a 3,000W 12V inverter is a real challenge to all wiring/connections pulling a whopping 240-260A (3,000/12.8V + inverter loss) I try to avoid anything much over 100A by increasing voltage in the systemdesign.

    You might be able to use both cables if the bottom one is upside down - the barrel of the lug on the bottom. Then the flat sides of the two lugs would be together.
    But those cables are a joke! Do they at least document that you shouldn't use those cables for real use? Or are they depending on being able to blame bad cables if the inverter doesn't support the specified power? For sustained use at 3000w with 12v it requires 250amps which means even 2/0 AWG is marginal.

    Something about this inverter says cheap crap. I don't know if it the wires they sent, the bright orange plastic, the 110v readings or what. But I don't like it. Stick to the Green Pure Sine Wave Inverters you've used for years. Don't let companies get you to push their products.
