Sure glad I got the same brand inverter as you have in your main house system, been over a year and a half and still running perfect with the reliable power 2500 watt!

Nice video and thanks for the content. I consider this just another reason WHY I no longer purchase any inverter for home use due to the risk of fire, electrocution, or worse and the reason why the all in one units have become the so called new normal.

Is it possible that the watt meter that you have attached is blocking/restricting airflow thru the inverter, thus affecting the efficiency of the cooling sensor? Outside of an electronic error, that is all I can come up with. Also, great series. I look forward to every video. Your approach to content is so laid back and certainly appeals to those of us that are experimenting with small systems. Keep up the fantastic work

There are temp probes on each heatsink internally. 15 minutes is way too long to run BUT, it will run until it cools down. Curious. So far, My 2K topbull units have been rock solid. Zero issues, running small AC units 24-7.

@@ProjectsinParadise808 I bet, these fans are LOUD in the topbull inverters. I am thinking one of the temp sensors is failing. See if they will replace it for you.

That interesting. never had a inverter do that unless a load on it. some older small ones the fan runs all the time. I have seen them over heat and shut off because fan quit. with a heavy load then no load it is common for fan to run a wile until inverter cools off. and feel warm air coming out. in this case was cold air. the thermal switch stuck on. newer fans have a RPM sensor in them so electronics can test them. that why fans run short time when fist turned on. a self test feature.

Im thinking the internal cooling fans are wired after the meters on the display. And whatever they were sensing heat from are not touching the outer shell...probably an aluminum heatsink inside the inverter

If you have a frost free freezer - there is often a heating element inside that will draw 400-800w during a defrost cycle and will make your inverter fans come on.

The fan has a timer that runs for "x" number of minutes after the inverter reaches a certain temperature?

yeah musk will be having a party on mars first......
even a 1800w mini oven or a toaster would maybe see this blow a gasket....
need around 600ah of battery to survive the batteries internal resistance/voltage sag, connected with 250a rated welding cable, to be able to run an inverter at 3kw for 5 minutes as a real world use test. ie boil 2pints of water, microwave/cook some food.

Aloha Bob, Could it be, after a defrost cycle the refrigerator will immediately go into the cold cycle. Could it be that the inverter fan went on as far for course for this unit before it shuts down as well? By shutting down, I mean the refrigerator is no longer drawing Wattage so to speak, except for the interior light? For me, it would make me wonder if that bag of fuses they sent you with it was really a bag of red flags. I think this unit will work just fine for quite a while. Great video!

it doesn't matter if the display is showing Zero watts either the fan's temp circuit is out of adjustment or that is the way this inverter was engineered to run. I have an Ampeak 1000 and the fan runs constantly as soon as I connect it to a battery.
