    Thanks for the Welcome Sir, prepper/stacker here, so solar has been of interest to me for some time, have the generator set up on 500 gallon propane tank and solar is the next project now that I have just set a dedicated building on a slab of old concrete. Joe at OWB is a good dude I believe and he made “employee of the month” I hear! Take care of yourself Bob! We need you around to help school us newbies on this solar stuff.

      You're going to love solar my friend. But one word of caution...it's a bit addicting! Ever since I fired up my 1st panel, I haven't been able to cease being amazed at the magic of being your own power station! Mahalo for being part of the conversation here! Aloha!🤙

    Bob we have WAAAYYY too much in common. Both love solar, both SUPER good looking, and (unfortunately) both battle melanoma. I have bee avoiding the sun since 1999. I was lucky in both instances and had them removed before they got bad. I get checked yearly and have ANYTHING suspicious cut off. I hope you realize you are living the way A LOT of people out there would want. I don't know if I could ever buy my little piece of Shangrila in Hawaii but I do hope to downsize, simplify, and go off grid as much as I can. I have always admired your solar passion and calm nature. I'm glad you got a nice bump of subs bc you certainly deserve it friend. Stay in touch and get well. There are a lot of us out here that enjoy your contributions. Mahalo and Ohio lol

      Yeah Joe, been completely avoiding the sun for 15 years anyway. The damage is done, no defenses left on this skin. But still super good looking! Haha! Had 24 removed so far, and although a few skirted going beyond the dermis, nothing known yet. Due for scans again pretty quick. And same here, anything even hints at looking funky it get cut out immediately! I am still living my dream brother, trying to remain in the last quiet places left! There are some affordable places yet out here. If you ever want to get pointed in this direction, just holler. Was a real thrill watching the bump on the channel today! Mahalo for the kind words. Aloha brother!🤙

    Thanks' for the advice Bob. As a 60 year old red head I am going to get some long sleeve UV shirts for gardening. The sun in the Great lakes is a lot stronger than it was 40 years ago.

    Ohio Wood Burner, Joe, recommended your channel. David a redhead from San Diego, Ca. What island are you living on? Melanoma is some nasty stuff. You have to stay on top of it. I had a chunk cut out of my back a few years back. I go in twice a year to get a full body scan with the dermatologists just to play it safe. Take care.

    Get well early. Melanomas need wide resection, so don't worry about the shark-bite cuts, so long as the margins are free.

    I am not an English person so maybe I have a misunderstanding. There is a big difference between a normal harmless melanoma which most people have and having a melanoma with a dangerous black skin cancer. If the melanoma with cancer is removed at an early stage you are 100% healed. The big cut out from your arm has been done because cancer was detected. If the cut has been small and only once for screening then it was just for peace of mind. May I ask how often have you been diagnosed for skin cancer in total?

    • @ProjectsinParadise808
      @ProjectsinParadise808  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Melanoma is malignant by definition. Whereas melanin is a dark brown to black pigment occurring in the hair, skin, and iris of the eyes in people and animals. It is responsible for tanning of skin exposed to sunlight. All melanomas must be removed as that is cancer regardless of depth of invasion. Hence the wide excisions to ensure it is gone. Many people are fine after it has been removed, and never see another one. I have had 24 so far, and that is very unusual for sure. Hope this helps. Aloha!🤙
