Glad to see ya recovered! It finally got sunny here the last week, and I'm already over-producing. I'm gonna have to figure out what to do with the extra energy once summer comes around.

Good to see you up and about again. Redundancy, is a great policy and a great comfort.
I have been assessing my winter power usage and am confident I have a backup to the backup.
However, summer is coming and now I need to focus on more battery storage,panels and another Victron to cover air conditioning needs. Last year I had to break down and run the generator overnight a few times to survive the desert heat.
Mind you it’s just a weekend off grid life for now but the plan is to make it a permanent residence over the next few years.
It really does give me comfort always knowing I have backup options if need be. Day's are longer and power should be in great supply now! Aloha and best of luck!🤙

I like how you have multiple systems. Im wanting to add a third system to my setup separate from the two im using for refrigeration and the kitchen. It just makes sense, so you dont have to monitor the systems so closely and worry about your usage. Nice setup

So happy you are doing better. nice to have back up systems. I do the same but different to my needs in NY .been a crazy past 2 years or so. and not just hear. it is all over the planet. your biggest draw I think was pumping water from tank to tank. I have well system and one of my biggest loads . the cloths washer I would say is my biggest load. microwave does not run long. most of my lights are on a 12V system and RV LED and CFL lights. I do have some 24V and 120V lighting but not much. I do have a small 6V system for a short wave radio and a 6V LED light. I made that years ago. it is a shunt regulator type for very low noise. has flooded Ni Cd battery 5 cell SAFT on it now. only a 15W panel.7.5V 2A VPP . I bult it just for the radio. started with small AGM battery. hope to see the blue wall soon.

I haven't even had to transfer water in past weeks which is good as I didn't have the energy, but caught plenty of rain. Everything continues to overflow, but you are right that pump when running does draw a good load! I forgot about that! All systems doing great, plenty of everything, but planning as always for when that changes! Aloha!🤙

i like your idea i have two 12v solar generator diy still working on 24v i made my own lithium batterys ,a dollar down and on my way my batterys don,t seem to charge but will over 13.6 at the high but will stay at13.2 for along time but when batterys are 200 it would be way cheaper but i buy a little at time a ten year progress
I started off very slowly as well 30 years ago. 1 panel, 1 battery. Now look where my addiction has taken me! I love this stuff, and it supports me comfortably waaay off the grid. Never without power...compliments of the sun. What could be better? Aloha!🤙

Thanks for all you have done for us sharing your knowledge of solar. Can you tell me if you are running a fuse on the positive cable from your Chins batteries to your inverter. If so what size and type fuse are you using for these two 300 ah batteries in parallel? Thank you for your reply.

a question. is there a specific reason you switched to victron vs another brand?
when I look at the price of victron, inverters in particular are incredibly expensive compared to other brands such as Growatt etc.
