    Just gotta be careful when you buy a used model. Too many assholes abused these cars. Idiots that did sideshow shit in them. They can really jack up the rear suspension. I know. I found out the hard way. If you are lucky... You can get the Godspeed aftermarket parts that can fix your rear suspension issues. The abuse can completely ruin any chance of good alignment and eat up your tires in a very short period of time. Thank God I was able to get those aftermarket parts and fix my issue.

    3.6L Pentastar are great engine. When it comes to 2012 when the engineers change the oil cooler and oil fliter in one spot. In between the intake and valley. It's great ideally for oil to lubricate the cams but the failing point is the housing materials and the coolant. This is same for 3.8 and 4.0. If not for that engineering design, I'd say more of these will still be on the road than junkyard. 2010 3.8L for a town and country. I've always have wits with this but the mileage is currently at 208k miles. Not problem other than the battery shorting out the WIN Module and ECM lockout signal. The van runs fine but the airbag modules, body module, and a few other modules are not reacting because of different VIN programming. Other than no problems. I got the 3.8L before the oil cooler is under the intake.

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The passenger side is the difficult one. I know I had 2 different length deep sockets, a regular socket, and 3 different sized extensions to get in tight spots at different angles. One thing that could help is to consider grabbing a 1/4” drive ratchet and socket because they often are smaller and take up less space, which could give you access you can’t fit with a 3/8 drive. Keep going, it takes patience but you’ll get it done!

    13:13 I think you are right, despite some of the downer comments here. But I do understand the concern, considering the average car has 5000 parts and legacy auto makers are trying to make a transition to EV cars after watching TESLA successfully do it. IMHO, the Dodge LX platform and beyond was so popular there will be aftermarket and refurb parts coming for a long time. I have been collecting some parts for a while now, rubber door trim, panels, etc.. But you can't collect all of it, unless you buy a complete duplicate donor car, LOL. So long as machine shops, forging foundry's and auto manufacturing exists somewhere in the world, we will be OK. The additive manufacturing industry (3D printing) only helps going forward!

      I had the diff whine before the bushings, but it did make it louder after install. To be honest though you only really notice at highway speeds. Driving a '12 Grand Caravan 3.6 to commute and haul my band equipment around and it does pretty good. Pulls decent from a stop and hits like a Honda VTEC; at about 3500 rpm you can feel the push of the seat against your back and it will get about 22 mpg combined with a solid 29 mpg at 75 mph on the highway. Still runs smooth enough I catch myself checking to see if it stalled at stop lights with 173,000 miles on the clock. No complaints. I'm gonna drive it 'til the body falls off.

    With a cam you have to experiment around to get the RPM that is most efficient range for cruising because of the overlap. A bit faster might be higher MPG' I actually like Turbochargers for HP while retaining good MPG because cams (I love for the nasty sound) and superchargers have so much parasitic loss (takes 180 HP gain to show 100hp at the wheel) that they consume much more fuel.

      I definitely will on occasion. If I take one gear up a little higher in the rpm’s but traffic is slow or I’m hitting cruising speed I’ll just skip a gear and drop it right into 4th or 5th depending on the circumstances. Those are some good numbers for mileage! More disciplined with your right foot than me!

    Hey, I was wondering when you were going to come out of hibernation. Glad to see some content. Does the car feel good after dropping the rear end awhile back?

      Hey man thanks for stopping by! Yea, the car feels great with the cradle welded up and the new poly diff bushings! Best it's ever felt honestly!

    What are you paying for 94? I can get 110 from a sunoco near me but it's $10/gal, or about $2.86/L. I usually mix 2Gal of 110 with 10Gal of 93 and it gives me 12Gal of 96. I have a 5.7 to 397 stroker, ported heads, fbo at about 10.6:1. I can watch the fuel needle moving, i get about 175 miles to a tank city

      94 here is floating around $1.89/L. Sounds like you have a pretty awesome setup! 💪

      @@TrackPackRTthanks, it's pretty rowdy lol hopefully i can put a whipple on it one of these days. wow that's over $7/gal. I pay about 4.50/gal for 93, plus the 110 i mix in, it comes out to about $6/gal. My heart goes out to you, i thought it was pricey here in Michigan. Thanks for your content. Your cam series really helped me can the car a few years ago, now i can't stop lol. I will probably be over hauling the control arms and such, you're videos will help me there too!

      Why? Were you knocking with 93?

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bailey9r no, it’s just the highest octane we have available around here (besides race gas) so it gave us the most room as far as pulling the most power out of the tune while still being safe.

      @@bailey9r i was getting burst knock on tip in with 93. Around me "93" isn't always "93". So to eliminate octane being the cause, i started by putting 5gal of 110 in a full tank. I got my timing where i wanted it with no knock and started dialing down the 110. I only put 2gal in a full tank now.
